We had an excellent guide in Ram , who explained the historical significance of the Golden Temple in detail and also took us to areas we would certainly not have been able to access if we went individually. The most fascinating part of the tour for me was the being able to see the langar kitchen up close - it was simply staggering to see the amount of food being prepared and the monumental effort it takes. We also got some nice vantage points for photographs courtesy Ram. A highly recommended tour on my part

This was one of the best Tours I have ever experienced. It was less like a tour and more like learning about Sikhism from an old friend. I have booked many guides during my travels and all of them are confined to a script from which they learn, if you ask them anything outside of this script they won't be able to answer your questions, with Amrit being a Sikh I was able to ask him complicated questions and still get answers. He took me to the backstage of the kitchen and introduced me around, it was fascinating to watch the chefs cook these humongous meals. we also visited the hidden Prayer rooms in the temple where we spent few minutes meditating, the whole experience was very raw and genuine and I sensed Amrit and I became friends by end of it. If you see this tour simply book it and be prepared for an experience of a lifetime. As a Punjabi living in UK I would recommend this experience especially to all my people coming to Punjab to connect to their roots.
PS - If available book a Private Tour, you will get to choose your own pace of things that way.

We waited for the guide at the assigned place for 25.mins - from 18.50 to 19.15. It was very busy and crowded. My phone isn't useable outside the hotel due to cost. I did however turn it on and try to what's app message and then call direct.
It was mot a good meeting point so many people and crowds.
So we went in without a guide which was very disappointing.
On returning to the hotel I found various messages and a photo of where we'd been standing as the meeting point?
I told the guide I wasn't impressed. He said he waited till 8.30. But we didn't find him.
So not very impressed at all
A waste of money.

I would like to shed some light on the incident. Caroline booked our Tour and stayed in contact with us on Whatsapp. On the Day of the Tour she was not reachable for hours, the tour was supposed to start at 7 pm. the guide reached the meet-up spot and tried contacting her to no avail. She was not reachable for 2 hours, during which her guide waited for her the entire time. She suddenly became available after 9 pm requesting the tour to be started in next 20 minutes, when the guide refused stating he had other commitments she mentioned how she was not impressed. We have hosted thousands of guests over the years and never had run into this issue. Nonetheless she was offered a FULL REFUND but she wanted more, mentioning how she will be contacting viator and giving us a bad review. While we place customer satisfaction as our top priority we refuse to be blackmailed in giving out freebies if our clients threaten us with bad review. we have screenshots of her guide sending her messages trying to contact her for 2 hours which have been shared with viator.
