A great trip to Marrakesh!

Not as advertised

This trip is NOT as advertised. I cannot fault the guide themselves but this is not the trip I thought I was signing up for and would not have booked if I had the appropriate information before hand. The ‘group of a maximum of 15 people’ was a coach full of 30+ people and all the pick ups added a good hour onto the journey. We finally arrived in Marrakech at 11.30am and after a quick stop via the Koutoubia Mosque spent an hour and a half walking around the Medina. The majority of this was just walking around the Souks but with no opportunity to actually stop and look at anything. We then stopped at a pharmacy for the best part of an hour for the sole reason of them trying to sell us oils and spices. We were then taken to a restaurant for lunch and given an hour and a half free time. No visit to the Saadian Tombs, Menara Gardens or Jardin Majorelle as described and no where near enough time to attempt to see these places in your free time. We then left at 5pm and didn’t return back to the hotel until 9.30pm. If this is how you want to spend your day in Marrakech then great, but I cannot recommend this trip based on how it is advertised. I had chosen this trip based purely on the places it advised we would visit and don’t want someone else to make the same mistake. Thoroughly disappointing.

Stopped on route to see the goats up a tree! Very funny. Although Marraketch wasn't my cup of tea, the experience and proffesional guides made the day a good one...very hot..snake charmers, monkeys on chains and horses waiting to take tourests for carriage rides in the blazing son with no sign of water or food...felt sorry for the animals. Was an interesting trip

Could be more than 15 people, then you are sitting in the emergency places at the very back of the bus. We were squeezed in the minibus for 4 hours. The Five Hours in Marrakech is pure overstimulation. A day is quite exhausting, then perhaps better to book an overnight stay. Wen On the souk it is exciting and worth an experience.

Marrakesch kann tatsächlich sehr intensiv sein – die Stadt ist voller Eindrücke, Gerüche, Geräusche und Leben. Für viele ist es ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, aber es kann auch anstrengend sein, vor allem an nur einem Tag. Ihr Hinweis zur Übernachtung ist absolut berechtigt, und wir empfehlen dies auch immer häufiger Gästen, die die Stadt entspannter erleben möchten. Wir wollten unbedingt mit einem deutschen Reiseleiter fahren. Abfahrt 7.00 Uhr um 7.20 kam dann ein englische Reisegruppe mit dem Bus. Dieser meinte ist wäre in Ordnung und in 5 min kommt eine Reisebus mit deutschem Reiseführer für die Tour zahlten wir deutlich mehr wie für vergleichbar ander marrakesch Touren. Der Veranstalter war telefonisch nicht zu erreichen bis kurz nach 8 standen wir draußen und haben gewartet. Es kam dann auch endlich ein Reisebus, jedoch war dies ein anderer Reiseveranstalter, der hat dann telefonisch abgeklärt das wir bei ihm mitfahren können, leider war dieser total überfüllt und es waren dann die letzten Plätze eine knapp 4h Fahrt, eingequetscht. In marrakesch wurden wir gezielt in Läden gebracht die mit überteuerten Preisen Öle und Gewürze gebracht (Provisionen) die sonst überall deutlich günstiger zu erhalten waren.
