Our family’s 2-day excursion from Agadir to the true desert was spectacular. From the vibrant city of Agadir to the vast, golden dunes of the Sahara, this trip allowed us to immerse ourselves in Morocco’s stunning diversity of landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
The journey kicked off with a scenic drive along the coast, stops at four beaches. Legzira Beach took our breath away. The huge rock arches against the backdrop of the ocean were absolutely stunning.
Our guide was extremely helpful and patient. He shared stories of local people and environment. The craftsmen we met along this trek helped us to see a bit more of their culture.
The overnight stay in the desert was a highlight of the trip. After a day of exploration, we enjoyed a traditional Saharan tagine dinner and danced around the campfire. Sleeping under the stars in the heart of the desert was truly magical. The next morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise over the dunes before heading back to Agadir via the mountainous route.

This was without doubt, the highlight of my week in Agadir. My whole experience in Morocco was unforgettable. However, nothing compared to walking up a sand dune on Saturday to watch a magnificent sunset.
Mohamed drove and explained our whole itinerary, geographical, historical and cultural facts throughout the whole trip. The different stops where either shopping opportunities like the impressive Pottery production in Sidi-Bibi, welcome leg stretches like the fishermen village and Mirleft, lunch at the impressive Legzira beach, another stroll at Sidi Ifni before finally arriving at the tiny village of El Borj. We changed to a Jeep 4x4 and together with Rashid we headed to the campsite and straight up to the sand dune for the sunset. Being in the desert, seeing a sand dune, touching the very fine sand was all a wish come true. My new wish now is to return for more nights under the trillion stars...a real pity I never bought one of the many magic lamps that I saw in the souks of Marrakech. I bet that one would have been the one with the Genie.

We were lucky to be the only two people on thus trip so in essence was a private tour. Mohamed was an amazing guide, very funny and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble for him. We saw so many beautiful places along the way. Dessert camp was fantastic, the guys there really looked after us and were so much fun. Sunset and sunrise were both stunning. If you come to Morrocco you must do this trip, we didn't want to return to our hotel !! There is quite a bit of time spent driving but it is worth every minute.

We just got back from the most amazing trip!
It was 2 days with many stops along the way, and 1 night in the desert staying in the Nomads tents.
We watched the sunset and had a great dinner underneath the stars followed by a fun night by the fire.
We didn’t sleep too much as we wanted to watch the sunrise from the dunes. It was truly incredible to watch come over the dunes.
Our guide Momo was very knowledgeable and told us stories along the way about the country and history in a nice air-conditioned car!
He was very friendly and made the trip unforgettable!
These memories will stay with us forever.

Ps. Bring a selfie stick with a tripod to catch the night sky or a good camera for all your sand photos! You will not regret it!

A memorable night in the dessert. We had a very good guide and discovered more memorable places than we expected. Got to see a lot of Morocco and learned a lot about local culture.
Only negative is that there was less sand dunes than we were hoping for.

Only note, watch out for the silver merchant in Tiznit, he was overly pushy towards us when making a sale.

This was a really fantastic excursion, we would highly recommend it to everyone. Mohamad is a very kind, helpful and knowledgeable tour guide. He provided us with so much information about each stop .The highlight was definitely the night in the desert. Mohamad and his colleagues there made a huge effort to make sure that everything was just perfect, and nothing was too much trouble. The Moroccan tea and the food served was outstanding. We really enjoyed the games of Dominos and the music. It really was a magical, memorable experience.
We may even have to come back and do this excursion again in the future .

I can highly recommend this experience. Momo was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly, he was very helpful in explaining the amazing culture and traditions from every place that was part of the tour.
The immerse experience of enjoying delicious food prepared by local families is amazing.

Such an amazing trip with Mohammed. He was so knowledgable about the area we learnt a lot. We visited places we would never have seen and Mo went out of his way to make sure we had a fab trip. The campsite is beautiful and Sahid and Haib cooked a delicious tagine. Highlight was watching the stars tucked under a cosy blanket as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. We also loved sand boarding and running up the sand dunes, quad bikes along the beach (one of the worlds most beautiful) and pretty much everything else. A must do if you want to explore Morocco with and expert (and friend).

We had an amazing experience! Our driver Momo was really kind and the perfect guide. He put a lot of effort into details to make sure everything was exceptional. He was very entertaining and we had a lot of fun during the trip. The camping in the desert was very nice and Sahid, Abdul and Habib were great hosts. This excursion is the best we could hope for! With our dedicated guide and driver for our family, we not only had the best experience sleeping in the desert but also visited and discovered so many lovely places such as a pottery workshop, a fisherman village, souks and shops along the way! Honestly I can’t recommend this enough. We booked this trip for my birthday and the bivouac team put the special music and we danced around the camp fires till very late. What a day! Seeing the sunset from the top of sand dunes, eating a tagine under the Berber tent, watching the stars and sleeping under the warm blankets of our tent …what a treat! I had chosen this stay as a birthday present for my husband based on the good comments on their website, but the account was absolutely not there and what was supposed to be a magical and unforgettable moment turned into disappointment.
The description of the stay says “Stage 2 Legzira Beach: entrance ticket included”. I thought we could see/access the arch on the beach. Instead, we were left in a restaurant imposed on the beach for a lunch following which my husband was gripped by pain, vomiting, diarrhoea and fever. No details were given for the visit of the arches. The result: after lunch, there was no time for the visit. It would have been nice if we could have seen the beach and the cliffs before lunch and the tide rise.
Step 4 Guelmim, it says “short tour of the city” and “we stop for a short tea break”. In reality, we only drove through the city without any stops and no tea breaks.
Step 5 “El Borj” we arrive at the camp, and there, new disillusionment: the toilets were dirty and only 1 in 2 was functioning, the second being blocked. No electricity in the tent (out).
Mint tea is not accompanied by Moroccan pastries but simple industrial biscuits very ordinary and not at all appetizing.
The evening meal was more than average: simple vegetable soup (no Moroccan soup like harrira or lentil soup), tagine was good but without more and for dessert green apple and orange it was disappointing for 200 euros per person (2,000 dirhams), we expected a more qualitative stay.

Dès son arrivée à notre hôtel nous avons rencontré Momo un homme très sympathique après seulement quelques temps en sa compagnie c’est tout comme si il était un membre de notre famille!! Il nous à fait découvrir le Maroc dans toute sa splendeur et que dire de notre nuit dans le désert tout était à couper le souffle nous avons rit, chanté et dansé. B. den wunderbaren Legzira-Strand entdecken, tolle Dörfer, eine Töpferei usw. Auf dem Rückweg besichtigt man die tolle Stadt Tiznit, genießt ein Berberessen oder sieht den großen Wasserdamm. Wenn man dann tatsächlich in der Wüste ankommt, ist es einfach unglaublich! So ein tolles Erlebnis, mit einem Jeep durch die Wüste zu fahren, dann im Empfangszelt Tee zu trinken und eine köstliche Tajine zu essen. Das Abendprogramm ist sehr schön. Man betrachtet zuerst den beeindruckenden Sternenhimmel und dann beginnt die Wüstenparty. Das Feuer wird angezündet, und wir tanzen zusammen zu Saharatänzen. Diese Tour ist einfach toll und top organisiert. Diese Tour war aber vor allem deshalb so gut, weil unser Guide Momo unglaublich gut war. Er hat uns auf Englisch in das einheimische Marokko eingeführt. Er hat uns so viele interessante Fakten erzählt und war immer sehr freundlich und humorvoll. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit ihm. Abends bei der Saharaparty hat er uns wirklich überrascht, mit vielen Kerzen überall, und hat Feuerformen im Sand für uns gezaubert. Es hat einfach sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Im Wüstencamp ist alles sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Sehr, sehr empfehlenswert, besonders für diejenigen, die eine authentische und tolle Zeit erleben möchten.

Une expérience à vivre dans la.vie! J'ai adoré ! Il faut tenir compte qu'il y à bcp de km à parcourir pour s'y rendre en partant de agadir, plus de 600km aller retour environ! Nous avons fait plusieurs arrêts et visiter des plages sur la route. Dîner sur le bord de la.plage.
Rendu dans le desert la vue est incroyable ! On oublie toute la.toute fait hahaha
Souper dans le désert très bon et animation festive par les guides. Cetais tout simplement genial

Quelle aventure extraordinaire nous venons de vivre au sud d'Agadir ! Pendant deux jours, nous avons exploré des villes et villages, où chaque coin de rue semblait raconter une histoire millénaire. Les habitants, d'une hospitalité sans pareille, nous ont accueillis avec une chaleur et une générosité incroyable.
Mais le clou de notre voyage fut sans conteste la nuit magique passée dans le désert du Sahara. Enveloppés par le silence et l'immensité des dunes, nous avons découvert la véritable essence de la nature. Mention spéciale pour la délicieuse soirée dans le bivouac avec Momo et Rachid qui ont été aux petits soins pour nous.
Tout cela n'aurait pas été possible sans notre guide exceptionnel, Momo. Sa connaissance approfondie de la région, sa passion pour son métier, et son enthousiasme contagieux ont transformé cette excursion en une expérience inoubliable. Momo a su nous faire découvrir des trésors cachés et des panoramas à couper le souffle, tout en partageant avec nous des anecdotes fascinantes et des histoires locales captivantes.
