Our driver Marco was a gem! He was not only a wealth of information he was fun and made sure we saw and experienced everything we wanted to see. So glad we took his recommendation and went to the north side of Mt Etna as we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Lunch at the winery was magical. Ms Rosa’s shop you don’t want to miss either.

Give it a go

Our guide, Anna, communicated before the tour regarding expectations. We got to see a bonus city, Castelmola, and even though it poured, it was the best stop. Taormina was absolutely incredible and very charming. Savoca was ok. Very little to see or do. Anna was incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and Alessandro was one heck of a driver. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic day! We are 2 couples in our 60s. Alberto messaged us the day before and told us where to meet once we disembarked our cruise ship. We met him along with our guide Hana and off we went in a very air conditioned van. Our first official stop was Castelmola but we did stop for scenic photos along the way. In Castelmola we were lucky to get some great shots of Mount Etna. We went to a restaurant (very unique lol) and sampled almond wine and had the best ever Sicilian cannoli. Then some free time and then onto Taormina. In Taormina , Hana walked along with us and pointed out cultural and historical areas of significance. We were supposed to go inside a church but there was a funeral. We had lots of free time to browse and then had lunch at Mama Rosa’s which was delicious and affordable. We were also very fortunate that they took us into Messina to see the clock tower and the church as this wasn’t part of our itinerary. This is a very professional and knowledgeable tour company. Throughout our entire time in the car Hana explained the history and culture of Sicily. She answered all of our questions and was quite funny and engaging. Alberto is a very skilled driver with a great sense of humour. This was the best private tour we took throughout our 14 day vacation. Highly recommend- we left Sicily feeling like we understood it and took a bit of it with us.

Excellent Tour

So glad we booked this excursion our Italian tour guide was hilarious gave good information about the area then dropped us off in the beautiful town of Taromina before all the big buses came from the cruise ships. The van was very comfortable and we only had 15 people in our group got back to the ship a few hours before the crowds.

Beautiful excursion in Sicily

This tour was great. We realized that tour groups with smaller vans can go all the way to the top at Castelmola but the big tour buses (those arranged by the cruise) cannot. Those people had to climb up the hill and were not happy. After about an hour drive to Castelmola we had time to explore the ruins and cute town. We then went to Taormina where the guide led us from gate to gate through the town. I had paid for a ticket to the amphitheater so the guide took us there while the others explored on their own. It was worth it! Then there was plenty of time to eat on our own, shop, and explore before it was time to leave. The guide was super sweet and knowledgeable and gave us a local cookie to sample on the bus. We got back to port well before ship departure.

⭐ Best Experience of Our Trip to Italy!

This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire trip to Italy! From the moment we arrived, Stefania and her family made us feel incredibly welcome. She even arranged transportation from the cruise port to her home, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience completely stress-free.We learned how to make the most delicious tiramisu I have ever tasted, as well as incredible homemade pasta that Stefania later prepared and served beautifully. Every aspect of the experience was carefully planned, and it was clear how much passion, pride, and attention to detail she puts into sharing her craft.Not only was this a wonderful cooking class, but it was also a genuine and memorable cultural experience. Getting a local guide is the way to go

We met Elena, our guide, at the port after our tender dropped us off. Elena was very personable and friendly, and was totally open to how we wanted to customize the tour. She had a great suggestion for heading up to Castelmona first, where she took us to a great pub/bar with some “interesting” decorations. She explained about the various parts of the area, and then later we drove down to Taormina, where we went to a great Arancino spot, which was amazing. We never would have found it or the other sites without Elena’s first hand knowledge of the area. We were very happy with Elena and was glad to hear she was ok after Mt. Etna erupted the day our ship left port.

Do not even hesitate to take this tour- it was AMAZING ! Alessandro definitely takes pride he what he does and it shows. From our initial booking, with me sending him a barrage of texts with questions ( via WhatsApp ) he ALWAYS responded in a timely fashion. In addition coordinating our pick up times and drop off with the ships schedule was effortless. The tour itself was so informational and his knowledge down to every last detail was fantastic. A little bit of everything and more!

If you want to see a little bit everything, this is the tour for you. It was so good! Salvatore our driver was so careful and prompt and informative as well and Olegsandra, or guide was so informative and easy going, we had so much fun with them. It was a just what we wanted to see everything and have time for Taormina as well. Would highly recommend this tour, there are several surprises in store they have planned as well, I won't spoil the fun, but it was a perfect day.

Greta day off the cruise ship

The perfect excursion from a cruise ship. Easy to book and easy to connect with tour guide. We had an air conditioned van and our group was small which I liked. Cristiano our tour guide was great! Not just a tour - it’s the Sicilian experience!

We had the most wonderful day in Sicily with Alessandro and Marissa, visiting Castelmola, Taormina and Messina. From the very beginning, it was clear that they weren't just there to give us a tour - they wanted to give us a truly memorable experience. We started in beautiful Castelmola, where they took us to what must be the best bar in town. The story behind it is absolutely hilarious - ask Marissa to tell you the story! We had a lovely drink there, tried the original cannoli and, most importantly, had a lot of laughs together. Taormina was another highlight. It is absolutely beautiful, and Marissa brought the history to life with all the stories and details she shared with us. And then, on the way back, Alessandro and Marissa somehow transformed our tour van into a driving karaoke bus! J'& We sang along to some of the most famous Italian songs, which was such a fun and unexpected part of the day. And as if that wasn't enough, they took us for gelato after the tour - the perfect finishing touch to an already perfect day. If you're looking for a day in Sicily that feels personal, fun and full of genuine local experiences, I would 100% recommend Alessandro and Marissa. They have different tours available, so definitely check them out and find the experience that's perfect for you. Thank you both for such a fantastic day - we will remember it for a long time!
