I booked this tour because it was very reasonably priced, left from a close location to our hotel, and received very good reviews. When we arrived, there were many people queued for another cruise, and we waited probably an extra 10 minutes for our boat to disembark and for us to embark. At first it seemed a bit chaotic and unorganized, and I was hesitant about actually getting the “guaranteed” rooftop seat. However, our embarkation was smooth, we left soon after everyone was on board and the patrons took their seats quickly and in an organized fashion. The tour was quiet and smooth - we sailed to the Green bridge and turned and went the other direction, turning before the Margaret bridge. It was so calm and somewhat surreal. The guests were quiet and respectful and the approximately 50 minute cruise was the perfect amount of time to see the sights. I had low expectations when we were standing in the queue to board but was pleasantly surprised by the clientele and the smoothness of the ride. Highly recommend. Location to board just south of the Chain Bridge is optimal. Budapest at night from the Danube is a sight to behold. Highlight was the birds flying above an illuminated Parliament.

This was truly one of the best city tours! Attila was an excellent guide. He provided rich history about all the sites. He was very entertaining and gracious. The scooters were easy to ride (even for my 70 year old husband whose balance isn’t great) and a fabulous way to see this beautiful city. An addded bonus was Attila’s photography skills providing us with excellent photos of our day. I highly recommend this tour!!

Amazing morning spent with our guide, John. We saw all the highlights of the city while cruising around in an open-air jeep, soaking up the sunshine along the way. There were amazing views, plenty of sunshine, and even a snack along the way. A jeep is far superior to a bus—we covered so much more than we could have on foot, without feeling like we were stuck in traffic or confined to a seat. Penny for penny, this was a fantastic way to spend the day.

We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and led to a table near the bar next to a window. There was an assortment of breads and a bowl of Hummus at the table. About 25 minutes into the cruise, Hungarian Ghoulash was served, buffet style. The main dinner was also buffet style with many options to choose from, including chicken, beef, pork and fish. Entertainment consisted essentially of 70's yacht rock with a violinist playing along in the song. The food and entertainment were good, not great. The service, atmosphere, ride on the Danube and views were outstanding. If the food was served hot and to the table, it would have been that much better. Still, an evening to remeber.

Elizabeth was a great tour guide. She was full of wonderful& interesting historical facts of these two great cities. We only had one day (8 hours) in this great city and this was one of the two tours we chose to do and we felt it gave us a great understanding of the two cities as well as a feel of the area. To the point that we both felt like we would want to come back for a lengthier period of time.

definitely was not expecting a party, but i ended up meeting so many other solo travelers and having one of my best nights during my trip! if you're solo and want to meet people, this is a great place to meet them. beautiful views, but i'd say the service was terrible as they only had 2 bartenders and a fully packed boat

Luxury cruise, service was 10/10, very professional servants especially Zoe was so lovely on board. The welcome drink was champagne. The menu to choose from was good. I ended up choosing the beef soup as a starter and the lamp rack as a main. They both were hot and tasty. The music was amazing and the Hungarian show was above and beyond especially as they involved the crowd in it. The cruise went smoothly on the river the lights of Budapest can be seen magically at night. This dinner cruise was absolutely worth the money spent. Well done Silverline for such a beautiful cruise.

This tour might seem expensive but it is worth every penny. We were met in our hotel reception by our driver/guide Arkos who was extremely friendly and guided us to our beautiful BMW 7 Series vehicle with complimentary water which was very welcome. Absolutely luxurious vehicle and very clean and comfortable. We advised that on previous days we had already been to a number of places listed on the itinerary and he explained that as this was a private tour we could decide where we wanted to go. We wanted to spend the most time on Buda side as we love history. Fortunately Arkos has a degree in history and his knowledge and enthusiasm in sharing this knowledge was outstanding and made the tour so much more interesting. He was genuinely happy to be showing us around and he so loved his job. An absolute gentleman and scholar. He took us to places that you would never find on your own. A reflection of his local knowledge having been born and bred in Budapest. We ended our tour on the Pest side of the city which gave us ideas as to where to visit the next day. The four hour duration went very quickly and we wished that we had booked for longer. Great that we could pick our own itinerary and how much time we spent in each location. Thoroughly recommend this company and especially Arkos as your guide / driver.
