Wonderful Guide & Excellent Tour

I had a wonderful experience touring the city yesterday evening with our guide, Kai! We went all over the place on motorbikes driven by excellent drivers that navigated the busy roads of Ho Chi Minh brilliantly, and I never felt unsafe. I hadn’t ridden on a motorbike before, and it was honestly such a thrill. It felt great!! We went to several locations and tried various local street food items that all tasted absolutely delicious. One of my favorites was the Vietnamese Pizza. It was something I hadn’t heard of before, and impressively delicious! Everything else, including the Bahn Mi, beef stew, and more, was also all wonderful. Our tour guide, Kai, was full of knowledge and I appreciated hearing everything he had to share about the city and local communities of the districts we visited. It was a great way to get real exposure to life here and immerse yourself in the city’s local food scene. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Both first-timers & return visitors alike would benefit from everything this incredible tour had to offer!

Toan was an excellent guide for the Cu Chi Tunnels private tour. We were picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned car. On our way to the tunnels Toan gave us an overview of the history of the war between Vietnam and USA. We stopped at a handicraft's shop where several people, who were victims of the use of Agent Orange during the war, were creating some amazing lacquer paintings. We purchased one but there was no obligation to buy anything. When we arrived at the tunnels Toan showed his experience and knowledge as a guide as well as his sense of humour. We would definitely recommend this experience. Thank you Toan.

Do Not Miss this Experience!

This excursion is not a tour - it's an experience! We spent a full day with Joey, our awesome tour guide, who met us at the cruise pier. We used our time together eating, drinking and meandering our way around the Delta. Joey made sure to accommodate us - we're not so spry - and she customized the stops to avoid anything too demanding for us. We took a boat ride to Unicorn Island to discover how the locals make honey, wine and moonshine (and sample the results) and grow the most delicious fruits. We also learned how to puff rice! We then traveled across the river to see how to make coconut candy. Then time for a delicious lunch. Another boat ride returned us to the marina and our car. After a visit to the pagoda to see Happy Buddah, Lady Buddah and Reclining Buddah, we returned to our ship exhausted but happily filled with memories.

The guide James made this tour truly amazing. Hes not only extremely knowledgeable on vietnam's history, but also quite hilarious. Not only were the excursions informative, they were perfectly spaced out and struck an amazing balance of physical activity, learning, and fun. I came solo and left with several new friends. Great Experience

Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Plenty of water and fruit available, plus a croissant each. Very quick way to reach the tunnels with the added bonus of a lovely breeze and views of the day to day life on the Saigon river. The tunnels were a fantastic experience, which you could model to your own needs, whether you wanted to crawl through tunnels, shoot at the range( extra charge) or simply take in the fascinating history of Chu Chi. The lunch was simple and tasty; rice, chicken and vegetable soup, pork, omelette and a chicken stir fry. An added bonus was the included Tiger Beer( though of course other options available). Thank you for a lovely day.

A unique and enjoyable experience

Great way to get to all the tourist stops. The jeep is an authentic army jeep with enough room for the guide, the driver, and 2 passengers. Being in an open vehicle in the bustling traffic of Ho Chi Minh City is an experience in itself. Our driver Joe, and guide Mimi were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They even had a cooler of cold drinks which was wonderful to have in the tropical heat. A lot of fun.

An Unexpected Pleasure

The best thing about this tour is the fact that it can be adjusted on the fly based on time, traffic and anything else that can and will crop up. Like our ship being delayed over an hour by immigrations. We already altered the tour by a bit before it even started because our time in port was not as long as first expected. Then this. Communication between us and Brian was above and beyond. He sent pictures of exactly where he would be waiting and we let him know once we were able to get off the ship. To be honest, when I booked this, I had no idea I had booked a PRIVATE, as in just the two of us, tour. We had a driver who knew his stuff and we got to see a lot of what we originally planned. Just experiencing life on the city streets was as good as the tour itself. He took us to a hole in the wall noodle house that I may have passed up, had I been alone. The lunch was fantastic. The atmosphere was as local as it gets. I think we were the only "tourists" there, LOL. As I was walking out, I saw the wall with the 4x Michelin Guide awards 2023 to 2026. WOW! I can't really say anything specific about what we saw because your tour might be different from ours. This I will say. I am grateful beyond words that Tran Haung Phuc (Brian) was our guide. I found out later that we had so much of an advantage over the organised bus tours, talking with some of our ship mates. You won't be disappointed. If you have the full 10 hours to do this tour, you'll be trying to find things to see, LOL. We had about 5 and made it work.
