Stunning views and interesting history

It’s a very long day with an 8 hour bus ride - 4 hours each way but the bus makes a stop at the two hour mark. You should be prepared for that as well as many steps to climb to get to each monastery - hundreds of steps. However - we loved it. The monasteries are beautiful, the history is interesting and the views are out of this world! We are so glad we did the trip.

Great Full Day Private Tour

My wife and I took the Athens Full Day Private Tour with Olive Sea Travel on September 16. I booked the tour months ago because my wife walks with a cane and an ankle brace and I had many questions. I had many email conversations with Gianna at the company. She was always prompt with her responses and provided the exact information I wanted. Our “driver” on this tour was Yiannis and he was so much more than a driver. He was aware of my wife’s minor disability and dropped us off as close to each stop as was possible with a car. His commentary about the city as we were driving was wonderful. At each stop, before we proceeded, he would explain what we were about to see and the history behind it. The lunch was delicious and it was truly a full day tour. It is well worth the cost, and we would highly recommend you request Yiannis as your driver. We also booked a transfer from our hotel to the cruise port the next morning. We were surprised when Yiannis showed and we had another enjoyable half hour with him as he explained the history of Athens seaport.

A long day but a very worthwhile experience- highly recommended.

Excellent day and an excellent tour. The host was knowledgeable and entertaining with lots of very interesting insights to Greece, its myths and Delphi. We took up the lunch option which was most enjoyable and saved trying to find somewhere else to dine. It was a long day but well worth it.

Good overview of the center of Athens

It was a nice way to get to know the center of Athens. One stop for coffee was greatly appreciated :). The add on for the Acropolis tour was excellent. Many stops for shade, it’s a choose your own adventure - you can stay as long as you want at the Parthenon.

Fun and enjoyable sun set trip to Poseidon’s Temple

We had Theo (aka Teddy) as a guide and he made this experience extremely fun and memorable. His style is to provide historical information, facts, and general knowledge about Greece and many topics with a lot of humour and energy. He put the group at ease right away. We stopped for one hour at a seaside location where some paddled in the water or had a snack. We took the sunset trip to view Poseidon’s Temple. We walked around the site taking photos until the sunset - Teddy does not give an onsite tour. Although he allows you to enjoy the site on your own, he provides plenty of information about the temple beforehand and encourages questions. Teddy lives in Athens and has lived abroad so he can provide many recommendations for travelling in Greece and local restaurants.

Rainy day but still great!!

The captain and crew were amazing and made a horrible situation with the weather very tolerable. It rained pretty much all day but they stayed concerned for everyones happiness and wanted to make the experience as memorable for everyone as they could! I would imagine with good weather it would have been AMAZING

Excellent value for money.

We did an all inclusive trip to Delphi. Absolutely brilliant day. Our guide was Katharina, who I can only describe as excellent, with a wealth of knowledge on Greek Mythology as well as having as sense of humour! Everything was so well organized, and she was so clear on her instructions, meeting times etc. Our driver Evan, was excellent encountering some challenging maneuvers during the journey!. Its a pity more people don't appreciate the guide and driver on their way leaving the bus..

Michael's mythology + perfect pacing made Acropolis tour a joy

Tour guide Michael's knowledge of Greek mythology was encyclopedic: every story and legend came alive as he wove them into the history around us. Michael paced the climb up the Acropolis beautifully, building in plenty of shaded stops so the heat never became unbearable, which made a huge difference on a challenging walk. His sense of humor kept things light and engaging throughout, and he struck the perfect balance between sharing information and giving us free time to take it all in. Couldn't have asked for a better guide!

The whole trip was excellent. From the moment we were picked up to the moment we got back to our hotel everything was taken care of. The staff communication was excellent and it was a very relaxed day at sea. Food and snacks were plentiful and extremely good. Great day trip!

We had an absolutely amazing time. We had Alex as our driver who was great, fun to talk to, very knowledgeable but also respectful when we got tired. What really made the day great was we ended up having it as a private trip. Really recommend this trip, all the places you go to are great. Nafplio was absolutely stunning.
