My husband I were visiting Paris and we had our daughter book this tour for us and it was great! We are from the Bahamas so this was a really nice change of scenery for us. The tour was informative and educational and the champagnes were savory. Our tour guide was pleasant, knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The meeting point was about 15 minutes away from our hotel in Paris which was extremely convenient in comparison to other tours where the meeting point is quite a distance by car or train. The vehicle used to take us to the various locations was also very comfortable. It’s a long day so get a good breakfast and stay hydrated. We definitely recommend this tour.

What an incredible experience! My husband and I added this experience to our trip to Paris to celebrate our 30th anniversary and what an amazing way to celebrate!! The Champagne Day Trip from Paris exceeded every expectation. The champagne tastings were excellent, the wineries were beautiful, and the entire day was perfectly organized.
Our tour guide, Valeria, was absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable, fun, personable, and truly passionate about the region and its history. She made the experience unforgettable, especially when she surprised our group by serenading us with a beautiful solo during the tour! It added such a special and memorable touch to an already fantastic day.
I highly recommend this excursion for anyone visiting France and wanting an authentic, fun, and elegant Champagne experience!

What an amazing experience for my wife and me. We learned so much about the history of champagne, how it is made, the types of grapes, the blends, the sugar levels, and so many other factors.
We went to both small and large producers with excellent samples to savour.
The scenery was stunning with so many opportunities for great photos.
Our guide, Valeriea, was so much fun and so knowledgeable.
This was one of the best tours we have ever had and we highly recommend it for others.

Every moment exceptional, our guide was very knowledgeable and thoughtful.
He would make sure to explain details, we were all warm enough in the van, made reservations @ a great restaurant in Reims with a abundant menu

We did a Champagne day trip from Paris with HP as our guide, and it was truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much insight about the region and the winemaking process. HP arranged visits to two wonderful Champagne producers — one a large, well‑known house and the other a small, family‑run estate — giving us a perfect contrast in styles and traditions.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a fantastic local restaurant, where we were able to try even more Champagnes with our meal.
The entire experience was seamless, memorable, and one of the highlights of our trip to France. Highly recommend this tour and HP as a guide.
Response from Host, May 2026

Guide Clementine was fabulous, very knowledgeable and professional. Felt like you were traveling with a friend. Small group size makes easy to get around and have personalized service. The two champagne houses taken to were exceptional. Left with a comprehensive understanding of the champagne making process. Cathedral visit was definitely a highlight of the excursion.

I loved travelling through the French countryside and learned a lot more about Champagne than I already did!

Bronson our tour guide was knowledgeable and accomodating to our group. Although we had been to France before, we had not been to this province. Our daughters who travel a great deal had high regards for this trip. The trip followed as expected except for the side stop at Rhimes which was a delightful addition. Bronson very kindly directed us to an eating establishment. What was also nice was that we saw both the traditional and modern champagne making processes. We learned some history about the region as well. The champagne tasting of course was great as well as the explanations about each type.Good choice available through Viator which we would recommend.
Richard_M, Apr 2026
Antoine was the best. He offered pertinent information, drove with care, endured our safety and comfort throughout the tour. The tour was a great blend of culture and champagne; it was also lots of fun.

Really good introduction to the Champagne Region. The 2 wineries we visited produced outstanding wines. Getting to visit a small, family owned winery was a great comparison to the really large winery we visited in the afternoon. Our driver/ guide was extremely knowledgeable. I definitely recommend the day trip to everyone!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your kind review!
We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your introduction to the Champagne region.
It’s great that you appreciated the contrast between the family-owned winery and the larger producer, and we’re glad the tastings left such a strong impression.
Thank you for recommending the day trip!

Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you very much for your kind review.
We’re glad you enjoyed visiting both wineries and experiencing different styles of Champagne production. It’s great to hear you had a good time overall. <3

Mary_P, Apr 2026
Poor selection of wineries to go to while we were driven by the higher end wineries as they were pointed out. Champagnes tasted like cheap fruity wines with bad aftertaste.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback.
We’re sorry that you did not like French Champagne and that the tasting experience did not meet your expectations.
The selection includes a variety of regional producers to showcase different styles of Champagne, which can vary significantly in taste.
We appreciate your comments and hope you still enjoyed parts of your day in the region.
Kind regards,
- Alice

Very informative had a great experience with Laurent . Wonderful small champagne house visit . Beautiful country.
Apryl_H, Apr 2026
I would not recommend the excursion. Our tour guide was tired and some of us were frightened he was falling asleep at the wheel. We went to the two wineries but after that , we were alerted that we were not going to see Dom Perignon's tomb, which was a major disappointment to us. Our guide was anxious to get back early and actually told us that he doesn't like doing these tours because his "whole day is ruined. " Once we return to Paris, our guide advised us that he was going to drop us off at a different location than agreed upon because it was more convenient. Was definitely not worth the $600 we paid, would not recommend.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback.
We are very sorry to hear about your experience.
Could you please contact us and share the name of your guide so we can investigate the situation and address it appropriately for the future?
We hope that, despite these issues, you were still able to enjoy parts of the tour.
Kind regards,
- Alice

It’s a great tour to taste champagne at two very different Maison de champagne and also visit some monuments (Reims cathedral and l’abbaye). Also appreciated that Laurent, because of heavy traffic, was able to drop us at a convenient place (Place de la République) in the way back.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your kind review.
We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the Champagne experience, the visits to Reims and the abbey, and the tastings at the different Maisons.
It’s also great to know Laurent made the day smooth and informative, even with the traffic on the return.
We’ll be sure to pass along your appreciation to him. We hope to welcome you again soon! <3

Not at all what I wanted. I took a tour of the Champagne region in 2012 and was blown away by how amazing it was. In that tour we visited Moet Chandon as well as Mumm. It was so amazing that 14 years later I took my parents on the tour so that they could experience the magic I experienced years ago.
The first Champagne house was stellar, small batch, and heart felt. Delaunor's-Chanez is a five generation Champagne house and you could feel the warmth as our guide explained how Champagne is made. The tastings were delicious and I wish that I could have taken home a case! But here is when things went south.
In my opinion, the description of the tour was a bait and switch situation. The pictures depicted in the Viator description was of Moet Chandon, not Nicholas Feuillate. I have never heard of this Champagne house, and for all its hubris, I should have heard of it. The facade was austere and the greeting was cold. The woman giving the tour was robotic. For example, there were forklifts working in the background and she did not even pause in her presentation. I had no idea what she had said. My mother wears hearing aides and could not hear over the roar of the forklift barreling through. We were taken through vast areas of where they bottle over 20 thousand bottles of Champagne per hour. We had no sense of the history behind it, just grandeur.
The guide also was very put out when we requested to take the elevator, as both of my parents have a disability which makes taking stairs perilous. By the time the tour ended we were behind schedule. Our guide insisted that we leave by 4pm sharp so that we beat the traffic. I understand traffic coming from Los Angeles, but we were robbed of the tasting, which we suffered through an exhausting tour just to try! We were supposed to have three different tasting, yet only managed one due to the time constraint.
Seriously, this was a horrible experience. I wanted to give my parents something unique, and as amazing as my tours from 2012. Instead we were rushed at every stop (don't get me started on the Cathedral in Reims), made to feel like we were a chore, and then even more insignificant for bringing up the misrepresentation. My parents will never be able to visit France again, so this was an epic failure and not at all the magical trip I had envisioned.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially as this was a meaningful trip with your parents.
Your comments regarding timing, accessibility, and the visit organization have been carefully noted and will be shared with our team and partners for review.
We truly regret that the experience felt rushed and did not reflect the quality we aim to provide.

This small group tour was very informative. Will gave us a lot of information about the sites and tastings. It's well worth a day trip from Paris.

Because of this time of year there is not opportunity to see grapes on the vines. It is a great way to experience a small cellar and a huge production facility. Nikolas was a great tour guide.
Steve_B, Mar 2026
Very interesting tour. We visited a family run vineyard and a large cooperative. Our driver/guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Mark_W, Mar 2026
It was a long day and a long ride, but worth it. Liked going to a small family owned place and then a huge Coop.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your review!
We’re glad you found the Champagne tour worthwhile and enjoyed visiting both the family-owned producer and the larger cooperative.
We hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

A full day exploring the Champagne region around Reims, visiting a mix of smaller boutique houses and two growers who actually supply their grapes to Moët & Chandon — it was the kind of itinerary you couldn’t put together on your own, and that’s exactly the point.
Our guide was exceptional. Knowledgeable in the best way — the kind of depth that only comes from truly loving what you do — but never stuffy or overwhelming about it. He was warm, approachable, and had a way of making everyone in the group feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how basic or advanced. The passion was infectious without ever feeling performative. Just a genuinely good human who happens to know an extraordinary amount about champagne.
What I didn’t expect was how different each stop would feel. Even after a full day, nothing blurred together. Every maison had its own personality — its own cellar, its own story, its own way of doing things. The boutique houses brought an intimacy that you simply don’t get at the big-name stops, and learning that two of them supply to Moët & Chandon added a fascinating layer. You’re tasting something that feeds into one of the most iconic labels in the world, poured for you by the people who actually made it.
Six-plus hours flew by. By the end I was full of excellent champagne, genuinely educated, and a little sad it was over. If you’re visiting Reims and you’re on the fence — get off the fence. This is the one.

This was a very fun day trip from Paris. Our tour guide Matt was amazing! He was so friendly, gave some information about the region as we were driving, joined in on some of the tours and helped with translation if needed. He sat with us and had delightful conversations while we tasted champagne. It was a small group so everyone chatted with each other while we just enjoyed the environment and learning about the small house champagne makers.

We had a wonderful visit to Champagne that included tastings at both a small, family-owned winery and a large cooperative champagne house. We also explored Épernay, where our guide gave excellent recommendations for lunch and had some time to explore the town. We also visited Reims Cathedral, as well as the church and gravesite of Dom Pérignon.
Our guide, Matthew, was very knowledgeable about Champagne production and all the sites we visited. His insights truly enriched the experience.
