The day that I booked was one of the hottest days in Paris. When I arrived, saw that the elevator to the top was out of order so only the stairs were available. The stairs were a spiral staircase and by the time I got to the first resting point, I was so dizzy and felt sick. I did not continue to the top, which was unfortunate because that was what I had paid for. When I went down the spiral staircase, I was even dizzier and wound up needing paramedic assistance because of my elevated heart rate, dehydration, and dizziness. If possible, I would love a refund for my ticket. Viator should work closely with the Arc de Triomphe and make it known whether only the stairs or elevator will be accessible at the time people want to tour. This was a waste of my money because I could not enjoy it.

I ordered the timeslot of 2:50 PM and received the ticket. It was from 11 AM to 11 PM with my time slot reserved. We got there about an hour early. They let us in and we walked right to the top. We didn’t have to wait for our assigned time so it worked out perfect

Great views! Easy to get to. Easy to check in! Not too difficult to climb stairs but if you are afraid of confined spaces & have difficulty in climbing stairs, you may want to skip because lift was out of order.

A lot of stairs to climb. This activity specifically, the tickets were given by a link to a Google Drive doc that contains the ticket barcodes. The Viator ticket that can be added to Apple Wallet is not the one to use.

Great experience! Just know it’s a self guided tour. It was better to buy through Viator though because I was able to skip the line for tickets and waiting to go up to the top. Very cool, I would do it again but I do with there was something more to help with the history other than what is posted in the Arc.

This was a nice experience, just a ticket no tour. I enjoyed touring the Arc to areas the end of the day, there was fewer people.

Our tour was cancelled the day of the tour July13th because Bastille day fireworks. What a disgrace they managed to tell me use some other time even though we were on a one day layover. Don't ever book this trip. They cancelled. Will cancel the credit card charge

We did the non guided tour, the 277 stairs to the top is well worth it, the view of the city and landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower is great from up there

Lift is out of order. Make sure you can confidently climb lots of stairs! Very beautiful view! Good historic monument.

We spent $40 on the taxi to get to the arc and when we arrived we found out it had closed 3 hours ago and we were never notified so we spent another $40 on a taxi to get back and never got to go inside. How do I get a refund or rescheduled for this morning?

It’s a great way to see the city with a Birds Eye view. The historical importance of the Arc is well showcased and my love and I took many wonderful photos with the city in the background. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone as long as you can climb a lot of step and aren’t scared of tiny stairways.

Horrible experience. We arrived for a 1:50 booking and the site had closed at 1:45 with no warning. They absolutely refused entry.

They closed the Arc at 1:45pm our tickets were for 8:10pm we were never notified, showed up to a sign on the door. Would like my money back.

This ticket did not work, not from the email, not the download, not with help with the ticket desk. It took three times to get through, and only with a personal escort from the manager, waiving the non-working barcodes.
This experience was SO stressful and confusing. Don’t book with this service!

We chose this tour because by the time we tried to book tickets, they were sold out and this was the only way we could get onto the Arch at the time we had available. We did not have a private guide. I was glad we did it and the views were exceptional (But obviously would have been more cost effective to book tickets in advance directly from the Arch website if we had known our timing better). A friend told us this was a better view than the Eiffel Tower because you could actually see the Eiffel Tower vs when you are at the tower you can't see it. The day was hot and I was concerned the lines would be dreadful but they moved quickly. I was prepared for the stairs by reading other reviews but was a little concerned because I have a bad hip. However, I wore good shoes and made it to the top without issue. There is only one bathroom when you are almost to the top and that line took a few minutes but not too bad. We didn't take the boat cruise because it didn't work without schedule and had another dinner cruise schedule for the tour but I highly recommend doing at least one boat tour on your visit. Great way to see so many iconic sights.

There was no optional guide. All we got was a link to a history of the arc. It was nice to be there, but don't expect much from this particular booking.

It was great to see and learn the history. Purchasing tickets and then being told we couldn’t get in and having to scramble to somehow find out how to get the QR code was very frustrating.

On your own obviously since there is no guide. We didn’t have to wait but a couple of minutes and that was only for security. . Beautiful views

to cross the street you must go underground---that should be part of the directions as we didn't know about that and had quite a time getting across 6 lanes of circular traffic going about 100 mph.... the view from the top is beautiful. We needed an elevator as one of our group had walking difficulties and he was accommodated nicely with the lift. A nice trip.
