This was worth every cent paid! Rafael was the best guide! He was very knowledgeable about the area and the activities included and went above and beyond to make this trip great for everyone. Getting to take the paddle boats on the lake was so fun! They even had kayaks and paddle boards so you might bring a swim suit and towel if you want to get in the water! I would do this tour again! It’s my second tour with this company, Bingo Tours. I’m very pleased with them!

We didn't know what to expect on this tour. It was a long 9hr tour including travel time to and from the Lake. Justine, our tour guide was wonderful, very accommodating and spoke very good English. Our first stop was the waterfalls, followed by a drive thru the canyon. We stopped at a small village called Castellane to grab something to eat. We continued down the mountain admiring the majestic peaks and little villages tuck in. We arrived a Village de Moustiers-Saint-Marie where we had lunch at a small restaurant. Next was the Lac de Sainte-Croix, where we had a choice to rent a kayak or pedal boat. From there we drove back around 2 hours mostly on Highway back to Nice.
Great experience . Bruno was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, funny and helpful. The tour itself was amazing. Beautiful views and quaint towns. Gracias Bruno
I would have given to this tour a 4-5 starts review based on the places we went to. They were all beautiful. But I am giving it 3 stars due to our driver-guide tour person. He was making some jokes that were not funny and comments that were not interesting. He also were not concern about a passenger hitting her hand with the door. Instead he was making “jokes”.
Again the places we went to were very beautiful. Just the driver was not very good for this type of trips and the long drive.
This was a great way to see some of the beautiful small villages and countryside outside of Nice! The Gorge was beautiful and it was great to be able to rent a boat (or kayak or swim) in the Gorge! Justine was a wonderful guide and we highly recommend this excursion!
This is an all day tour. Lots of driving on winding roads with little time to explore. The van was tight and the driver was bad. The diver knew nothing about any of the places, could not answer basic questions. He was late picking us up and accused us of being at fault when we had been at the door for 45 minutes waiting. When we arrived at a scheduled stop we were told to get out of the van and be back in a set period. That is okay, but we weren't given basic information like, where the bathrooms were located. At one point in the trip the driver went speeding through the scene of an accident. The police made him stop and scolded him. When we arrived at the Gorge du Verdon, it was recommended that we complete our trip up the river in 45 minutes or less. We took all of the allotted hour. There were not enough stops at view points. And crazy, unsafe driving throughout.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. However, we would like to clarify several points.
The vehicle used for this excursion is a new, spacious Peugeot minivan that meets all applicable passenger transport standards and is entirely suitable for this type of tour. We understand that individual perceptions of comfort may vary.
Regarding the pick-up, the driver arrived at the agreed and previously confirmed time, but no one was present at the meeting point. He attempted to contact you but received no response. As this was a shared tour, he had to continue collecting the other passengers before returning to pick you up. The resulting wait was therefore caused by your absence at the confirmed pick-up time. We communicate the exact pick-up time to every customer in advance, and it must be respected to avoid delaying the other participants.
The driver-guide provided information and commentary about the places visited throughout the journey. We regret that the level of detail did not meet your personal expectations.
Regarding your comments about the driving, we take all safety concerns seriously and will review the matter directly with the driver-guide.
This is a full-day shared excursion covering several destinations. The Verdon Gorge is located a considerable distance from Nice, and reaching it naturally requires several hours of driving, including travel on winding mountain roads. The itinerary and duration are stated in the activity description. The tour was operated according to the published programme and schedule.

Beautiful to view, loved renting little boat. But the drive was long, lots of turns. Visit was too short in villages, also at the lake. We were more exhausted from the long drive. Elton, our driver was a professional.
Firstly the impression I got from the advert is that it was a river boat adventure - which it's not!

3 very nice small town 1hr stops
2 viewpoint brief stops
finally 1.5 hrs lake side stop
all stops were great, and Elizabeth also - BUT
the rest of the 9 hr day was in the minibus!!!
Everyone was thoroughly sick of that - infact one lady was qute travel sick!
I would never have done this had I know no matter how fantastic the countryside!

Thank you for complimenting Elisabeth and the stops. This is clearly advertised as a full-day minibus tour, not a riverboat trip. The itinerary and duration are stated in the description, and travelling time is unavoidable due to the distance covered.

A great day exploring the area outside of Nice. There is a lot of time spent driving but the villages and lakes you stop at make it worthwhile. And our guide, Elizabeth, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, very entertaining and helped make the whole day good fun
Our guide, Sylvie, was wonderful. She shared plenty of interesting information about the places we visited and pointed out notable sights along the way during the long drive.
The journey to the gorge is not an easy one, but Sylvie is a highly competent driver who made us feel safe and comfortable throughout. The large MPV was clean and spacious, comfortably accommodating all eight of us, excluding Sylvie.
Although we spent quite a lot of time travelling, the experience was absolutely worth it—especially paddling a boat on Lac de Sainte-Croix. It was beautiful and truly unforgettable!

The trip went super well. Our driver, George, was right on time to pick everyone up, he was super nice and allways made sure to tell us some facts about the places we were visiting. The views of the lake are breathtaking and so are the views of the mountains on the way there. It was shame we couldnt' see the lavander champs, since july is the only time for that, but the trip is still super worth it!
It is a long drive for very little scenery. The gorge itself was muddy and busy. All the electric boats were unrentable/not charged. The gorgeous picture on the viator app is a quick drive by.The guide’s English was very poor (we booked the English tour). She offered no history regarding our stops or recommendations. The guide was basically a bus driver.Most mediocre experience and not inexpensive.
Lovely tour in nature with visits of waterfalls and small cute village. Raphael made sure we were entertained all the way - it was fun, interesting and beautiful! Water activities were coolest bonus!

Most of the tour is spent traveling to each destination so thats my only negative. Bruno is such a kind, funny and energetic person> and each location was great to see
The lake of Sainte-Croix is the main destination for the tour and it’s beautiful! Bruno was our guide on this tour - he has a good heart and was trying to get us to as many destinations as possible, but was often difficult to understand - there was a language barrier and hence confusion we had to overcome. The drive is through windy roads and not for everyone, but once we get to the lake, its makes up for the long drive and the difficulties. Overall a great trip, but only for those with resilience and a lot of patience.
We really had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide Nicole was a terrific driver. The tour contains a lot of driving, almost all of it on narrow very winding roads that can leave the folks (8, plus the tour guide) in the van getting a bit car sick, so if you have any issues with car sickness, please take meds, or you might want to second guess attending. That said, Nicole was a terrific at making the experience smooth for everyone, she is a great technical driver.
The tour contained a stop every hour, or so… 1st stop at a waterfall viewing platform, a couple of very nice villages. one of which we all ate at a local restaurant on your own. The final stop was at the lake for a swim, the water was nice, and the spot was very popular with the locals, so it was fun watching everyone. We really didn’t have enough time to rent a paddle boat due to the crowds, due to the 40C temps. The “beach” is also rocky so bring aqua socks, or sandals.
The guide/tour operator are very strict on making sure you do not return to the van with a wet suit, make sure to bring a dry set to wear, and a towel!
We had a great time, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention an awkward moment between Nicole and two gusts concerning shutting the van sliding door, although the tour guide continued to want her to open/close the doors, and operate the seats to allow access to the rear seats. Nicole complained the the two gusts should have closed to door, to which the gusts apologized, but the the tour guide continued on by saying it was “common sense”, it made the rest of the tour a bit weird.
As a last word on this tour… if you really want to see Verdon Gorge (which is beautiful), be prepared for a long day!
The tour was good and different, very pretty. Our tour guide was knowledgable and excellent as well.
The trip is definitely worth taking. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie Is an amazing small town and it was fun to rent a boat at Lac De Sainte Croix. But be prepared for a lot of time in the van driving, especially if you are traveling with a child.
A great tool for discovering the beautiful nature around the French Rivera. The view was breathtaking and all the small villages we visited were charming.
A full day seeing two beautiful mountain villages and the Gorges du Verdon. The roads to the destinations are very winding and curved so if you get motion sickness be prepared. Not a problem for us but was for another party in our van. Also make sure to check other apps for messages. Viator sent me a confirmation via phone text the day before and I confirmed meeting place and time which was 8:00 am. However, Viator also sent me a separate message on what’s app that said meeting time was 7:30am (which they didn’t say ahead of time that they used What’s App) and I didn’t see it. We happened to be at the meeting spot at 7:20 anyway, no pick up was there. Someone from Viator called us at 8:15 saying we were supposed to be there at 7:30. I think it was a mix up or driver wasn’t being truthful. We didn’t get picked up almost 9:15 which made us rushed for the whole day. Better communication needs to be reviewed.
Great way to see the countryside, small villages, lavender fields when in season, swim or boating in Saint Croix Lake and drive the Gorge du Verdon without having to rent a car and do all the driving, navigation and stress. Justine was our guide and driver and did a fantastic job in keeping us on track while allowing flexibility with additional time to rent a boat at the lake.
The day was a little too packed in. Only had short stops in each location that made it feel rushed and spending a lot of time in the van
Really full action packed day with so much to see, our guide Sylvie was fantastic, a brilliant driver especially on the narrow roads and full on great facts and info. There is a lot of travelling but this is made very clear and the itinérant sp’its it up so you see as much as possible. A brilliant trip and a huge thank you.

Flore was our tour guide and did a wonderful job. She was very friendly and was very informative about the region.
More time spent in the vehicle on windy roads than actually experiencing the picturesque villages and gorge. Our driver acted erratic, putting us in danger on the road. We sent a private message to the tour company asking that she not be allowed to drive again - that's how bad it was.
Otherwise, the Gorge and second village stop were beautiful. You will not likely find another place like it in the world.
What should’ve been an amazing day with some amazing sites deep in the French mountains, turned into a bit of a nightmare.
Our driver did not put gas in the van prior to picking everyone up and spent over two hours trying to find an open gas station in the mountains. He was on his phone constantly. His head was bobbing up and down on the twisty turns on the mountains… one passenger even got sick due to his erratic driving. We tried to tell him that he should not be on the phone while driving, but it never stopped. He did not give us any information on the towns that we stopped at… We had to Google it ourselves while we were walking around.
I highly recommend taking this tour but maybe with a different company or a different driver. I have reached out to the company who told me that they are handling it. I hope they do.
Extremely well planned out. Several stops at beautiful attractions and towns en route to the gorge. Verdon gorge was exceptional and quite an experience. Spectacular views. Excellent tour guide and driver. Fabulous day. Not to be missed.
