We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring Malta with our guide, Chamison, and cannot recommend him highly enough.
From the start, Chamison was attentive, patient, and clearly passionate about sharing Malta's history and culture. He took us to a wonderful mix of well-known landmarks and lesser-known local spots that we would never have found on our own. His knowledge of Malta's heritage and stories behind each site made every stop so much more meaningful.
What really stood out was how generous and thoughtful he was throughout the tour — he even treated us to some authentic local snacks so we could experience real Maltese flavors, not just the tourist version. It was such a warm and genuine touch that made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional.
Chamison was easy to communicate with, flexible with our pace, and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. We left with not just great photos, but a real appreciation for Malta thanks to him.

Jason was an OUTSTANDING guide! Communication with photos was sent and he was always available for questions. He tailored our tour to be mindful of our abilities. Alex was an awesome guide. Very professional and courteous. His English was perfect. Would highly recommend his as a tour guide. Great communication before the tour.
Enjoyed seeing the island in a private car. We were able to go at our own speed and tailor it to what we wanted to do and ask questions.

What a way to travel. Top notch service throughout our tour. Ken has been providing tours for the last 11 years. We saw blue grotto, Dingly cliffs, St Paul’s Mdina, the upper gardens in La Valletta.
He will tailor your time both on his recommendations and specific sight you want experience.
Car was luxurious and had plenty of a/c. Excellent day!
We have used Viator many times in the past and have always been totally satisfied. Yesterday however, we were very disappointed. We had an 11:00 pickup at our hotel. When that time came and no driver our hotel staff member called Viator. He was told that the original driver had car problems and a new driver would come at 12:00. Even though Viator had our phone number and email address we were never notified personally. If not for our hotel we would not know what was going on. Our driver showed up at noon but did not provide us with the stated itinerary. Over all a very disappointing day.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delayed start of your tour.
Unfortunately, the original vehicle experienced an unexpected air-conditioning issue. As this occurred before the scheduled pick-up time, our immediate priority was to find the most appropriate and fastest solution. Given the extreme heat at the time, we did not feel it was appropriate to send a vehicle with an air-conditioning issue and instead arranged a suitable replacement vehicle.
Before we had the opportunity to contact you directly, the hotel reception contacted us regarding the situation. We were speaking with the reception staff by phone while you were with them, so we understood that you were already aware of what was happening. We advised the reception that, if you preferred not to wait for the replacement vehicle, we were happy to cancel the tour. As you were beside the reception staff during our conversation, we did not feel it was necessary to call you separately and repeat the same information.
We would also like to clarify that the tour was not shortened. The start time was delayed, but the agreed tour duration was still provided. There were also no complaints or concerns raised with us regarding the driver or the service at the time, so we were not made aware of any issues during the tour.
We appreciate your feedback and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. However, especially during a heatwave, we believe it is better to experience a delay while we arrange a suitable vehicle than to proceed with a vehicle without properly functioning air conditioning.
Our priority was to ensure that you travelled in a safe and comfortable vehicle, and we regret that the necessary replacement resulted in a delayed start to your experience.
It was not a tour just a driver who took us to the Mdina, the cliffs, and a cathedral. He did not take us to the craft market and just dropped us in La Valetta. He did not give us any information about anything. Very disappointed

We would like to clarify that, as stated in the tour description, this experience is a private driver service and does not include a licensed tour guide. Our drivers are therefore not permitted to provide historical or guided commentary, and we regret if this was not clear when booking.
Regarding the Crafts Village, this stop was unfortunately not possible on the day of your tour as it is closed on Sundays. We understand, however, that this may have been disappointing if you were expecting to visit it.
We appreciate your feedback and have discussed the experience with the driver to ensure that the itinerary and inclusions are communicated as clearly as possible and that any necessary improvements are made going forward.

Completely flexible itinerary. Alex, our driver was superb. He arrived to pick us up bang on time and so helpful and knowledgeable.
Very friendly driver, very flexible however the tour missed being accompanied at each stop and information being presented.
We did expect the guide would accompany us at the stops.
The driver did provide cold water.
Chamison was a fabulous driver/guide. I had lived on Malta as a child and wanted to show my family where I had lived/ went to school etc and he incorporated this into the trip. He found prickly pear for the boys to taste and my childhood favourite pastries hot from the bakery. He also knows an amazing doughnut shop. Perfect.
Jason is a real pro. You will not be disappointed guaranteed!!! He knows Maltas History and the best places to go as not to waste your time.
Driver was fantastic, although not a tour guide super informative and could suggest all the key things to see in a short break, the trip is flexible should there be things you wish to see would highly recommend

Jason was really knowledgeable and a gentleman. I was travelling alone and having the luxury of a guide and an aircon car in the middle of July was indispensable! I got to see an overview of most of the key areas in central Malta. Highly recommend it.
John was an excellent guide around Malta! He was so attentive to what we wanted to see & he never rushed us. His knowledge of the area is top notch!! He communicated with us upon our ships arrival & coordination was easy & seamless. He took us to many great spots for photos as well! This was a great use of time & I definitely recommend it.

Great tour, we had some flexibility so tweaked as we went along. Nice vehicle too - great way to see the key locations.
The private tour was fully customisable with our driver Kennet very helpful and friendly! The van was nice and cool! Also, water was provided!
This is a perfect excursion if you want to be chauffeured around Malta without a tour guide taking you around each site. We were traveling with our three grown daughters, and they specifically did not want that. In between, our driver, Alex gave us background information that was relevant and informative. We did three things: the blue grotto, Mdina, and Valletta in our 4 hours. In hindsight, we should done it in reverse order and taken a quick swim after our boat tour of the blue grotto and return back to our ship. The water was crystal clear and very inviting, especially on this hot day. We had a delicious lunch in Mdina at a restaurant with a view called Fontanella Tea Garden. In Valletta, we walked down Republic Street and took a look at the view from the Barrakka garden which only took us about 20 minutes. Since we had him drop us off at the Barrakka garden, we took the elevator down and walked back to our ship, which was a bit of a challenge on this hot day. It looked like the ship was close, but we had to walk back to the entrance of the port. Only problem we had with this tour was that I had changed our tour time to 9 AM from 11 AM about four days before our arrival. However, our driver did not get notified about this change, so he ended up coming to pick us up at 10 AM instead after multiple messages. I did get a text from the driver on the morning of the tour; however I didn’t read it until I got off the ship. At any rate, we like this tour because we could tailor it to our needs.
My niece and I took this half-day tour and it was perfect. It was an exceptionally hot day, so a full day tour would have been too much. We hit the highlights of Malta in 4 hours. We were able to add a stop that wasn't on the agenda, which was appreciated.
Our driver Kennet was wonderful - very attentive without being overbearing. He was very knowledgeable and paced the tour to suit our requests.

This is a great tour. Driver was very personable. Even suggested a boat ride around the shore. We got amazing photos of the shore.
We enjoyed the trip around various Malta locations. Alex, our driver, had a good knowledge of the country, was prompt, courteous and thoughtful. He dropped us off at several sites which we then explored on our own. We weren't aware that we would need to self guide thru Mdina, but realized the tour wasn't intended to include that.

He asked if there was anything in particular we like to see and took great care to show us so many important spots around the entire island! We enjoyed our day. Just what we planned - a tour of Maltas highlight, a nice lunch in a sea town and back to the port. Petra was bouyant and gave us a lot of information.
