One I would do again,if I come back to Malta. So much information! I am excited to go back to England and share all the information with my class, who are learning about the Romans. This was an excellent tour and Douglas, our tour guide was really knowledgeable. The group was quite large but everything was easy to follow and well delivered. We saw all the sites we had hoped to and learnt a lot about the area/ buildings and history.

Great tour with a great guide

Tim_K, Aug 2026
Despite the ridiculously hot weather during week of our visit, we had a great time on our tour with our guide, Carmel. He was super informative about the history of Mdina. Rabat and the catacombs with plenty of humor worked in. We’d highly recommend to everyone.

Fascinating history

Jennifer_O, Jul 2026
Fascinating and beautiful walking tour of two cities that have maintained their older world aesthetic (though Mdina was rebuilt after WWII). St. Julian by contrast is very modern and touristy. The history of St. Paul in the area was interesting/special to me, a Catholic. I enjoyed this tour. But beware in summer it can be blazingly hot. I did this in 103°F and drank 4 bottles of water on the tour.

Excellent guide who took the time to answer questions throughly, keep us in the shade and out of traffic. Clearly communicated to the group - extremely knowledgeable and open to learning even more! Info we were sharing about the Brazilian / Portuguese connections with Malta.

Excellent tour

James was a very knowledgeable guide and we were grateful for him finding us the shady spots to stand in during the tour! Would recommend the tour for anyone wanting to know more about Mdina and Rabat! The catacombs and WWII shelters were also very interesting to see.

Dominic was our guide today and he was outstanding. The knowledge spilling from this witty Maltese historian exceeded our expectations and made our visit to Rabat and Mdina remarkable. Thank you again!

The Mdina and Rabat Walking Tour - A MUST DO! ✅

tommyrolt, Jun 2026
This is the best tour I have ever been on, by far. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment while also being very impressed by the length of the tour - it never dragged. Dominic was engaging, exceptionally knowledgeable, and an upstanding gentleman - a credit to the Maltese tourist industry. I highly recommend this tour. Finally, I also loved how he didn’t wear a watch; he stayed present to give us more than just an experience, but a lifetime memory.

Mdina walking tour.

A very informative, interesting and humorous walking tour. A lot of dates to try and remember but delivered clearly with the odd laugh thrown in.

Caramel was a great guide and we highly recommend this tour!

Mindy_M, Jun 2026
Caramel was our guide. His knowledge was outstanding and his stories entertaining. We learned so much history about Mdina and Rabat as well as some great food suggestions.

Fantastic tour!

Rose_H, Jun 2026
Fantastic tour, it was really varied and packed a lot in to the 2.5 hours. Our guide Dominic was brilliant, very knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. Highly recommended!

A Phenomenal Tour

DebraDenise_C, May 2026
If you want a captivating history lesson that doesn’t drag on, this 3-hour tour is perfect. The history covered was incredibly diverse, and I loved getting the inside scoop on so many interesting topics. What really made the experience, though, was our guide, Caramel. Caramel is a top-notch storyteller who kept the entire group engaged from the very beginning to the absolute end. It was the perfect compact history lesson!

This was a good tour but way too much information and not enough walking and seeing. A lot of standing around listening for my tastes.

Giovanna was amazing!...

Jessica_L, May 2026
Giovanna was amazing! There was supposed to be another couple with us but they didn’t show up so she ended up being our personal tour guide. She was very friendly and gave us great tips for our itinerary.

Great Tour

Deborah_M, May 2026
A must tour to understand the history overall of Malta. Add to that a stop at Chrystal Palace just outside the Mdina Gate in Rabat for Pastizzi’s which are exceptional!!

Magical and Mysterious

Our guide, Carmel, was wonderful. Along with having a great sense of humor, he was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative.

Very Knowledgeable Guide!

Jean_L, Apr 2026
Guide, Carmel, was very experienced and knowledgeable. He shared more than just the dry history and really enjoyed his stories. He kept us safe from vehicles, horses and hitting our heads or tripping in the catacombs and WWII shelters. Great situational awareness.

Great tour, but too many people

Philip_S, Apr 2026
This was a great overview of Mdina and Rabat, and we had a great guide (James), who was very knowledgable about the cities and gave us a lot of great information. The only problem with the tour was that there were too many people on it (25). They should have split the group in two and had two guides, and that would have been much better. As it was, we spent a lot of time waiting for people to catch up, etc. I would recommend this tour if you are in Malta, just be aware that the group size may be very large.

Great way to experience Mdina

Ellen_M, Apr 2026
Mario was very informative and knew a lot about the history of the area. It was a great morning. I would recommend to others.

Mostly standing but informative tour

Adriana_B, Apr 2026
It felt more like a standing tour than a walking one, but the guide made up for that with his enthusiasm, knowledge, and helpfulness. Don’t expect much movement, as the actual sightseeing is fairly limited. That said, the tour offers a wealth of information and insight.

By Don’t miss a chance to see him, Mdina and Rabat

John_E, Apr 2026
Our guide Matthew was wonderful. He knew the entire history and kept track of our group and let a wonderful tour.

Perfect guided tour. Wonderful guide.

Lori_B, Apr 2026
Carmel provided so much historical perspective, which added greatly to our experience. He was a fantastic guide! I do not believe Mdina / Rabat would have ‚made sense‘ without the tour.
