Overview

Explore the seaside of Bilbao while riding a 19’ hybrid 21 gear bike. Pick up your bike at Getxo, have a safety briefing, and ask for suggestions on the best routes. Then go off on your own to explore at your own pace. Stop for food, drinks, and plenty of photos. You can rent the bikes for up to four hours, and then return them to the spot in Getxo where you began.

Miguel and his team in the bike shop were great. Well maintained bikes, friendly local service and great bike trails around the coast from Algorta - highly recommended as a day trip from Bilbao on the metro.

This is THE best way to explore Getxo, the Basque coastline, and to get around the tight streets of the old seaport towns. Make sure there is pleasant weather, and download WhatsApp to communicate with the tour operators (as an American it's easy to forget that every other country uses WhatsApp as the singular form of messaging-so make sure to set up an account before arriving).
