Jose was kind, patient, and so informative throughout our tour. I can’t even express how much we enjoyed traveling the coast with him, as we learned so much about the Basque community and the stories surrounding the regions development. I highly recommend you take this tour if ever in the Basque region. But, of note, the first stop definitely requires the ability to walk up and down a significant distance to see the sites

Wonderful day in the Basque Region

A wonderful opportunity to explore and experience areas in the Basque region. The tour includes time at the Loyola sanctuary as well as some time in Getaria. The time in San Sebastián was just wonderful. We had a great driver (Flavi) and a superb guide (Aitor). Aitor had a wealth of knowledge about the places we visited. His recommendations for lunch and dessert in San Sebastián were spot on!

Lovely tour of San Sebastián and coast

I really enjoyed this tour. I was taking a two day side trip from Madrid to Basque Country with the intention of spending one day in Bilbao and one day on this tour. My guide gave me a great background on Basque Country culture and history during our tour. We tasted some local food and drink at several of the many bars. San Sebastián was a pretty place I knew nothing about before this trip. Combining it with a day touring in Bilbao and visiting the Guggenheim museum there is a great way to get a good appreciation for the two main cities and coastline of Basque Country! There’s even a Game of Thrones site on the coast that we visited even though it wasn’t on the itinerary!

A perfect day trip

We loved this day trip! It was a perfect experience considering what we saw, where we visited, and the timeframe. Asier was a wonderful guide who was so attentive to the group and their walking abilities, as well as spoke clearly when telling us information. A 10/10!

Efficient Tour!

This was a great way to see "all the things". There were over 30 people on the tour, so asking questions wasn't possible along the trip, although there was time to ask on the bus ride back to Bilbao. The tour was listed as being in English, but it was actually in both Spanish and English, which the guide, Stefan, managed brilliantly. It just took longer to explain things twice. It was a very efficient day getting to see and generally learn, but not experience, about each place. It served our needs well with our limited time in the area. Finishing off the tour at a Txakoli winery was perfect, too!

Fantastic tour to San Sebastián and Getaria!

We had a great experience on the tour to San Sebastián - Donostia and Getaria! Our guide gave us a very thorough tour of the city, which was beautiful and very different from Bilbao. He shared a lot of the history and culture as well, which was great. Lunch was fantastic—local Pintxos and wine, with Basque cheesecake afterward. Getaria was nice too, albeit much smaller so just a short stop and walk around. Overall length was 9 hours, just right. I highly recommend it if you’re in Bilbao and want to see a little more of the region!

Amazing!

This tour was more than expected. Especially since we had such a great tour guide, Endika ( I hope I spelled that correctly) To get this tour from a born and raised Basque native was priceless. The history and culture told by Endika was perfect. Be prepared for a hike. We were fortunate to get a cloudy, drizzly day since for days prior it had been over 100 degrees in Gaztelugatxe. Make sure to carry some water. You will be told of this by your tour guide. Our guide also took us around the town of Guernika. As the sun broke through the clouds for a moment, Endi gave us a history lesson of the town. On my vacation through out Spain, I visited many places on tours but this one really left a lasting impression. To learn of the struggles and fight and history of the Basque region and its people was both romantic and brought on empathy as well. I am happy I saved to visit this region last; to keep the memory of the culture, the food, and best of all, the kindness of the people fresh in my mind and heart. Thank you Endika for a wonderful and memorable tour. I hope to visit again and have time to love this region even more!!! Eskerrik asko. Laster arte.

Great way to see 3 very different locations

This was a great day out visiting 3 lovely and very different locations. Our guide/drive Cally was fantastic and looked after us for the day as well as providing wonderful commentary. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit these locations, especially San Sebastian!

Amazing day trip!

Lovely mix of dramatic coastline, pretty seaside towns, and deeply moving history. San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is amazing (even if you haven't seen GoT!). It's worth the walk! The coastal towns were very charming and relaxing. Visiting Guernica was unexpectedly moving, and the Tree is very special. We're so glad that we got to see such a wonderful part of the world. Jose is an excellent guide, we took two tours with him and both were fantastic. We can't recommend him highly enough!
