This was an amazing experience, absolutely breathtaking scenery and such a fascinating history of the area. We were on a cruise and their care and attention to making sure we were picked up promptly and more importantly, returned on time, made it a stress free experience. Absolutely recommend!!

Giants causeway

Luis_P, Jul 2026
Great view of the giants causeway . Splendid walk and beautiful views. Guide Amanda was knowledgeable and pleasant . Lots of good information

Disapointed

JoEllen_G, Jun 2026
We felt rushed through whole experience. Driver friendly talked to fast to get it all. Drives abit to fast also trying to beat time even. though back early.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hello Jo Ellen Your cruise ship was in port for a short amount of time, 2 hours less than normal. We needed to adjust our itinerary to be sure we visited the main sites. Our main priority is getting passengers back to port safe and on time for the ships departure time. Sorry you felt rushed as we done our very best under the circumstances. Regards

No access to rope bridge

JoEllen_G, Jun 2026
Picture shows travelers crossing the rope bridge. This hasn't been allowed since 2020 but still using this photo to get you to book the trip. You don't get any where near it and get photos from nearby cliffs. Despite their assurances that there is a bathroom on board there is not. The tour of the giants causeway is self guided. The bus does not enter the official parking area to save money and your ti get does not include admission to tourist center. Our guide was able to point out all the local bathrooms along the way. He was very knowledgeable with stories of history of the areas we were driving through. Because the cruise ship cut our time short we were unable to enjoy lunch in town. I really expected more stops instead of a drive to and from with narrative. You would be better taking taxi to rope bridge so you could actually cross it and then to the causeway.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hello Jo Ellen Thank you for your second review Crossing the bridge is not on the itinerary. We do not advertise bathrooms on our buses, mainly because there are no bathrooms on the buses. We drop off at the Causeway about 25 metres from the entrance. Admission to the Causeway visitor centre is optional and not included in the price of the tour. Access to the Causeway is free of charge visiting the centre is an individual choice Your cruise ship was in port for a short amount of time, 2 hours less than normal. We needed to adjust our itinerary to be sure we visited the main sites. Our main priority is getting passengers back to port safe and on time for the ships departure time. Sorry you felt rushed as we done our staff done their very best under the circumstances. You have stated the Cruise ship reduced the ships time in port, this is something we cannot control. Regards

Good combination of countryside and city

Frances_H, Jun 2026
Paddy our tour guide was full of stories and history. He and the driver effortlessly guided us through this day of the beautiful countryside. The Giants Causeway is amazing! We saw the Carrick A Rede rope bridge from a view point. The setting is gorgeous! Lunch was on our own, O'Conners was efficient and delicious! My husband loved the seafood chowder. We drove past the Peace Walls in Belfast. We saw so much on this excursion . It is a good combination of country and city.

No walking bridge

Dennis_S, Jun 2026
Tour guide was great. Pick up at the port was easy. You don’t get close to the walking bridge it’s a long ways away for a photo no way to cross the bridge. Still beautiful . Causeway was cool but thought the area was going to be bigger. The lunch was great. The bus ride was great.

Great tour. Amazing guide/driver.

Tyson_G, Jun 2026
The way the Causeyway is put together, the stones and geology are unreal and amazing; Nature made that!?! The entire experience was through one of the quaintest and most beautiful parts of Nothern Ireland. I appreciated our guide's sense of humor, depth of knowledge, and general enthusiasm. I appreciated his personal insights into the Troubles and why Belfast is Belfast.

Possibly the BEST Viator tour in years!

RonaldE_W, Jun 2026
Stephen gave possibly the best Viator tour we have ever had and we have been on many! He was a former driver of the stars and directors of the Game of Thrones series for 6 seasons so his driving skills knowledge and commentary are unmatched. All the stops and places he took us to were spot on beautiful and highly enjoyable. I will highly recommend this tour to our family and friends traveling this way in the future.

Great Tour

suzieq, Jun 2026
This was a great tour. We had plenty of time to see all kinds of things, and never felt rushed. They took very good care of us.

Great value of the tour

Yunhua_H, Jun 2026
Great value of the tour. It is much lower price than cruise’s tour for the same destination. Paddy knows Belfast and surrounding very well. Very well paced.

Best sights on a bad day

casperann, Jun 2026
We happened to be in Belfast in a bad day! There was much unrest in the city so it greatly affected the course of our intended journey. Our driver and guide Stephen was fabulous, got us to the castle, the giants causeway and rope bridge before making the decision that is was in our best interest to head back to the ship. He was very concerned with our safety and well being during the entire trip and kept us informed as to what was happening and how sorry he was.

The Giants Causeway tour...

Jeff_M, Jun 2026
The Giants Causeway tour was one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on and Amanda & Ryan were the best tour guide/driver combo I’ve ever had. Amanda was so engaging with everyone. I’ve never had a “bad” guide but never one that made it a point to talk to and get to know everyone on board. And 21 year old Ryan handles that coach like main kids handle a bike, effortless. Amanda’s lunch recommendation in Ballycastle (O’Connors) was spot on and they deserve their own accolades. They were on top of it when we swarmed their business and but they hustled to get everyone taken care of within the hour. Oh yeah, should mention the tour stops. Giants Causeway was amazing! Definitely a highlight of our 12 day cruise in the British Isles. And just the scenery you see passing by is breath taking. Book this, you won’t be disappointed.

Gorgeous!!

Ruth_J, Jun 2026
Great way to see the beautiful sites in a luxurious coach. Our guide Amanda and driver Jeff were helpful throughout and kept us entertained. Despite us being a large group, we felt very well taken of. Giants Causeway is beautiful and offers a round trip shuttle for a small charge for those that have mobility issues.

Belfast Giant’s Causeway

Pamela_P, Jun 2026
Awesome day with Amanda our guide and our careful driver Ryan !! Beautiful scenery with history and folklore of the areas

Fantastic day in Belfast!

Michelle_B, Jun 2026
Amanda our tour guide was fantastic. She looked after us all, constantly making sure we were having a happy day. She was so fun and entertaining throughout the tour. Ken, the bus driver was more than just a driver. He gave us tips at different stops to take the best photos. He had a great personality and made our day fun.

Best way to see the Giants causeway

Lori_M, Jun 2026
Great way to go. Our driver was able to get us close to entrance. Long wait for bathrooms. Driving yourself would be impossible. You can pay to ride a shuttle to site and back if mobility challenged.

Fall in love with Northern Ireland

Shannon_C, May 2026
The guide was amazing! Fabulous trip. Knowledgeable tour guide. Saw the amazing Giant's Causeway. It began to rain so we took the bus back for 1 pound a piece. So worth it! It was a beautiful tour.

Not impressive as a world wonder

Ruth_T, May 2026
We thought we were going to to see a real world wonder……not very impressive. A lot of walking was required and there were a lot of buses at the site. We did enjoy the two stops for photos. Your leader tried hard to please.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Hello Ruth Thank you for review Sorry to hear you were not impressed with our world heritage sight. We are at peak season and maybe a visit off season would be better for you. There are shuttle buses at the Causeway if walking is not your thing. Great to hear your guide on the tour tried hard to please. Thank you

Great tour & host/...

Jane_K, May 2026
Great tour & host/ driver, Patrick. We were on a small bus, unfortunately had to sit in the back seats. There were 5 of us, a very uncomfortable ride.

Our tour was excellent...

John_M, May 2026
Our tour was excellent and our guide Amanda did a super job. Her information was interesting, clear and easy to follow. Our driver, Ken, provided additional insight into the history of the area along with additional personal experiences.

Our Guide and Driver made all the difference!

Tonia_W, May 2026
Amanda and Ken were amazing! They were extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. Although there was a bus full of travelers, they both took time to personally check on everyone and ensured it was a fantastic day for all.

Great Giant’s Causeway and Belfast trip

David_C, May 2026
Started badly as didn’t get info on meeting point. Other travellers got notification of revised meeting point, we didn’t. Amanda & Ken saved the day by picking us up. No probs with previous Viator trip info, just this one. Trip overall was excellent & Amanda & Ken went above & beyond to make the day a wonderful trip. Amanda was really great with the information and Ken, a great driver, also chipped in. Both very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Probably the best cruise excursion we’ve had. 👏🏻👏🏻

Incredible Tour of Northern Ireland

Nanu_N, May 2026
Amanda our Guide and Ken our bus driver were incredible (Odyssey Tours). We got to explore beautiful Northern Ireland and learn so much about this magnificent place. Thank you, Thank you!

Highly recommended Giants Causeway tour

Beth_B, May 2026
It was a great day with Amanda and Ken our driver. Both were friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. They even provided us with beautiful weather.

Great trip to Giants Causeway

SylviaSevilla, May 2026
Amanda and Ned were a great team. They both had a wealth of knowledge about the Giants Causeway and pretty much everything we passed between the cruise port, the causeway, and back. Their life experiences were part of the tour which made it much more personal and less pre-recorded. Both were open to questions. Highly recommend.

Amazing Giants Causeway!

Janet_M, May 2026
Our tour guide was great! He talked about our surroundings and history. He has been doing tours for 26 years. To get to The giants causeway it is a little far but, they do offer a shuttle. It was beautiful and amazing. I’m on oxygen and walked the whole thing. Just needed to rest a little. Surroundings are lovely!

Our guide Stephen was awesome!

Mary_D, May 2026
Stephen was a wonderful guide! We enjoyed his knowledge and familiarity of the area and Belfast. He was just the best!

Beautiful scenery

Linda_V, May 2026
Beautiful scenic excursion. Path down to Giants Causeway is about a mile. You can take a shuttle down with cash pounds or tap and go credit card. Inexpensive, maybe $1.50-$2 each way.
