Spent a wonderful day visiting Montserrat with our tour guide Carol. Very informative and also pointed out several don’t miss spots on a limited time in Barcelona. Overall an excellent excursion.
FYI have a backup plan as Trip Advisor cancelled 2 out of 4 trips we had reservations for during our time here.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Vincent (Vincenzo) was our guide, and he was very friendly and also had a lot of fun facts to share! Seeing the Montserrat mountains was amazing, as were the views from Saint Miguels cross. There's a store with souvenirs including some of the alcohols from the area, and the farmers market stalls sell some incredible cheeses (which may have ruined normal cheese for me forever haha). The one thing I would mention that I didn't really know to expect was that the tour was mostly before/up to the basilica (and on the bus ride back), the basilica itself is quiet. Also if not going up to the black madonna, while it's technically visible from the basilica, the odds of getting a picture of it still are low because of all the people who do sign up to go touch the black madonna. Overall was a really great trip, the highlight of my Barcelona visit so far!
A magical, spirited place to visit only an hour from Barcelona. Beautiful mountain and nearby countryside. Guides (Carol and Andre) were wonderful. Only wish I could have spent the whole day there.

The tour guide is very knowledgeable. I have learned the history of Barcelona from the bus ride to Montserrat. Meeting place was easy. It was on scheduled. The bus was comfortable.
This half day tour was amazing from Barcelona. Guides were very knowledgeable and engaging. Ride on funicular railway ride to the hill was amazing along with downhill walk from the top.
It was a wonderful experience!!! The ride was excellent, right on time. Views were amazing, the guides were very informative. Roberto was our cuide. He made the whole experience interesting, and fun.
Early start on a Saturday morning but do it watching queues later it was well worth it. Tour guided as good as we had on this trip with so much information on how we could spend our free time was excellent to know the best way to spend time. The guided part of the tour was very informative and very respectfully conducted to this shrine. MK and Francesco very much made the trip even more special. I know you can get there yourselves and for someone who usually dislikes tour groups on this one i rate top notch and every part great
This was a great excursion. Montserrat is awesome inspiring. The Basílica was beautiful. So much to take in. Lots of fresh air.
Roberto was a wonderfully guide. Even with a delay caused by the Basilica, we enjoyed every moment. Roberto also recommended a great restaurant for paella after the tour.
Ori was such a great guide! He gave us a fun and informative experience. I would definitely recommend booking with him in f you have the chance!
The Basilica closes at 10:30 each day so if you don't get there before you will not see the Black Madonna up close. Choose your tour wisely. We did a short 5 1/2 hour tour which was great.

Our tour guides Roberto and MK were amazing! Not only did they provide a lot of background history of Barcelona and Monserrat they we also such a fun duo, kept us laughing the entire bus ride.

This is basically the ticket to get to Montserrat and the fast pass for the church and access the black madonna, the tour guide are just basically there to tell you when you leave

This half day experience is enough to see everything you want. If you are handicapped and plan on coming back to the van early, don’t I wanted to be on time so I left in plenty of time and the van wasn’t where it was where he dropped us off.
Rock is a very professional guide. Hie introduction about Spanish history helps a lot. A great tour!
Excellent experience of the Montserrat history and background of current religious influence there. Xavi & Rocco were spot on with their history and geology lesson. The tour afforded ample time to experience the Basílica, Madonna figure and the funicular to the near top of the mountain as well as personal shopping in the various gift stores and even grab a quick bite. HIGHLY recommend this tour to get out of Barcelona and visit the country side. !
The tour to Montserrat was absolutely unforgettable! The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking — the dramatic mountains, incredible views, and peaceful beauty of Montserrat made this such a special experience. It truly felt like stepping into another world.
What made the tour even more enjoyable was our amazing tour guide, Kiko. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history and information, while also keeping the atmosphere fun, relaxed, and engaging. His enthusiasm and sense of humour made the experience even more memorable.
Montserrat is a place I would highly recommend visiting, and taking a guided tour made it so much more meaningful. The combination of the spectacular scenery, fascinating history, and wonderful guide, Kiko made this one of the highlights of my trip. An absolutely beautiful experience that I will remember for a long time!

Montserrat is incredibly beautiful. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and charming. The only drawback was that because of unusual traffic leaving Barcelona, we lost about 45 minutes of free time (they always meet their return times)
