This was a great introduction to Taipei, and a good preview of what we'd want to revisit during the rest of our time in the city. Our guide gave us a great overview of the National Palace Museum (a must-see, and if you're like us, it'll take all day), Chiang Kai-Shek's tomb and its changing of the guard, a serene temple, and the markets and port. A great mix of the history and the heartbeat of Taipei.

Charlie was the most amazing driver/guide/person we could have ever hoped for. I could spend the whole day writing about our day out with him. We had the most incredible experience with our driver in Kaohsiung. From the moment he picked us up, he was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted, adjusted the itinerary to fit our interests, and never once made us feel rushed. He taught us so much about this beautiful country. He took us through beautiful countryside, temples, Monkey Mountain, and hidden scenic spots we never would have found on our own. His driving was safe and smooth the entire day, and he was so thoughtful and accommodating with my family. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. What stood out most was his kindness and heart. This did not feel like a standard tour — it felt like spending the day with someone who genuinely wanted us to fall in love with Taiwan. Great private tour with Benson. Prompt pickup from Keelung cruise terminal. Saw all the major sites for Taiwan. Benson suggested a small change in the shopping area that we visited and it suited us better than the original one recommended. We were also able to add a short stop at a speciality bakery in the itinerary. Would definitely recommend Benson again.

Allow plenty of time to get around the city using train and metro, very cheap way to get around much better than expensive taxis. Lots of places to visit, 101 Tower, Memorial Park and changing of the guard, must sample the bubble tea and friend chicken etc Lots of shops available including all the top brands and some local ones. Our guide was great and explained lots of things about all aspects of Taiwan and the city of Taipei. We would definitely return but with lots more time so as to see all the island and its features 👍

Because of a delayed...

Because of a delayed connection we missed our flight to Taipei. So we were rebooked for the following day. We found out about the delay after the 24 cancellation window was passed. I messaged the provider directly and called Viator. The Viator help desk did nothing for me. They just said it was outside the window so no changes were possible. The provider response was give them the new flight information and they would be there. And they were!! The car was very nice and the travel time was less than the quoted time. I would use them again.

A truly amazing and fun experience. The entrance was a little confusing to find if you are very familiar with the area. The restaurant workers next door were able to point me in the right direction! The instructors were so friendly and patient. Makes even the most novice chef feel like a pro. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who wants a half day activity. We had the most incredible day exploring Taiwan with our tour guide, Oliver. He took us to Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, the Golden Waterfall, the Yehliu Geopark, and even made a special stop for us to light a lantern and make wishes—plus several other thoughtful stops along the way. His timing was *perfect*; we always arrived just before the big bus tours, which made every experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Oliver was not only knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history and stories about Taiwan—but also genuinely personable and so easy to chat with. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had made a new friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Skip the crowded big bus options and book this tour instead. You’ll get a much more intimate, meaningful, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
