Lysefjord & Scenic Mountain Road Tour The tour begins with pickup from Stavanger Port, heading to Lauvvik, where we board a ferry for a scenic cruise through Lysefjord. Along the way, admire dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and famous landmarks like Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) and Kjeragbolten, a boulder wedged between two cliffs. At Lysebotn, a comfortable vehicle awaits to take us up Lyseveien, a mountain road with 27 hairpin bends, leading to Øygardstølen (Eagle’s Nest) for breathtaking fjord views. We continue to Byrkjedalstunet, where we enjoy traditional Norwegian food and explore handcrafted goods in a unique setting built into the mountainside. On our way back, we stop at Sverd i Fjell, a monument symbolizing Norway’s unification, before returning to Stavanger Port, filled with unforgettable memories of Norway’s stunning landscapes and rich history.

The pace allows for time to adjust clothes and equipment for comfort, time to drink water, rest and enjoy lunch, and to take pictures along the way. The hike takes roughly 3 hours to reach Preikestolen - our main goal for the day. After we have enjoyed the scenery and relaxed for a while, we head back down. It normally takes about 2.5 hours to get back down to the parking area.
