One of the most popular tours is glacier hiking photoshoot. Your guide will drive you to Falljökull Glacier via a super jeep to begin your adventure. After a hike through an alien-like glacial tundra, we will arrive at the edge of the glacier where your guide will assist you in putting your crampons on. At the end of your tour, we will edit your photos and you will get a photo package within 14 days as the perfect souvenir to remember your epic adventure by! Be aware we will not know what specific ice cave will be available until a few weeks/days leading up to your tour. Optional: Pickup/Drop-off out of Reykjavik is available for an additional 175,000 ISK per group (max 6 pax) and would automatically make it a private tour. WORTH IT

We had an awesome time on our ice cave tour! We also had to do a little glacier hike to get there so it was a fun two for one. Our guide was very knowledgeable, fun, and focused on our safety. He has worked on a number of films made in Iceland and had so many interesting fun facts and stories to tell. It was by far a highlight of our trip

Tour guide Julian was...

Tour guide Julian was excellent. Very kind, patient, knowledgeable and engaging. 40min hike there and back. Not ideal for seniors or young kids I’m surprised the tour description does not mention this. There was a second tour guide with us but didn’t catch his name. He was very rude to some seniors in our group. Yelling profanities. Threatening to leave them behind. He was clearly under a time limit. Julian kept him calm and was very kind to every guest and encouraged everyone that they could make it.

Was a good tour as it did...

Was a good tour as it did what was advertised. After learning the history and environmental concerns from local park rangers and locals, however, I am a bit torn given my environmental background. Was told that the glaciers have been melting faster than ever before and obviously bringing considerable amounts of people (100s a day) onto the glacier increases temperature along with guides picking at the ice that is 1000’s of years old. The glacier is very pretty even from the farther viewing points and well worth it. Thought these comments would provide some items for consideration as they would have changed my own booking preferences.
