Top Sicily Day Trips

Had a cracker of a time with Bruna. She is passionate, very knowledgable and tad crazy (aren't all Sicilian). The climb up Mt Etna was challenging but fun, and the wine tasting that follows make up for hike. We had a South slope Etna bianco with good body (akin to Grand Cru Chablis) that is generally lacking in Etna Bianco. Also bought a 2014 Etna Rosso that was ... beyond description. TAKE THIS TRIP !

Gianluca and his crew were so wonderful! Our day started out a bit rainy but they lifted our mood and brought so much knowledge and good vibes. We had a so much fun and got such a wonderful view of Taormina. The cold plunge into the sea was the cherry on top. Grazie Mille!!!

This tour visits the scenic villages where iconic scenes of the Godfather trilogy were filmed. There were 5 of us in a spacious van. Our driver was knowledge, and our stop at Bar Vitelli and the restaurant later for lunch were wonderful as well. All in all, a great way to spend the day!

Our guide, Salvatore, made our day super special. He’s really interested in his work and is so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He told us where we were going throughout the day and made sure we were safe. Nothing was too much trouble and we had plenty of time at each stop. Salvatore explained when Etna was formed, showed us old lava flows, took us into a lava tube and walked us up onto crater ridges. After a generous lunch at a local restaurant, we moved onto the incredible Alcantara Gorge. Fabulous rock formations and great end to the trip. Would highly recommend.

A relaxed tour that gave a good experience of Mt Etna. You don't go up the cable car or near to the peak, but you end up seeing and walking around the lower craters. Unfortunately, we missed out on the sunset due to bad luck with the weather in mid October. Though you can change the date with some notice if your vacation schedule is flexible, which ours was not; so check the weather! However we still enjoyed the crater with fog rolling in and out, completely clear to silent hill in seconds, it really added to the surreal scene of the lava rocks. Beforehand we had gone to a honey producer where we tried local produce including different types of honey and snacks. We also went down into a small lava cave which had formed from previous lava flows. Despite the weather, Angelo kept us in good spirits and was very informative of the history of the region and of the volcano. I was also very impressed at how he was able to easily accommodate the split language group of French and English (and let me practice my Italian).

An excellent trip with a charming guide. Very informative & entertaining tour. We visited a few key points of the movie & at times I felt quite overwhelmed. So pleased that we chose a small tour operator rather than the coach alternative. Book it. You’ll love it 👌👌👌

Took a boat ride along the coast to Isola Bella. The guide was amazing and super friendly and helpful. We spent an hour snorkeling in the beautiful green/blue waters that had a ton of fish and rocks to look at. Also had a few caves to explore. Definitely best snorkeling trip we have done!

This opera experience was just right. I wanted to experience Italian opera while in Italy, but did not think I could sit through a whole full opera so this really hit the spot. It's a small intimate theater with excellent singers and musicians. The only problem was that it was difficult to find and surprisingly none of the shopkeepers could give us directions
