Top Sicily Day Trips

There is so much to see and do in Sicily, and we agreed this boat tour was probably the best part of our trip. We went at 10 am on a beautiful day and the ride was super smooth. There were 8 of us on the boat which gave us plenty of room to spread out and relax. The scenery is incredible, with views of Etna, Giardini Naxos, Taormina with the Greek Theater above, Castelmola, Isola Bella and Mazzaro Bay. We got to check out a couple of sea caves, which were really neat. We learned a lot about the area, listened to music, and ate delicious pistachio cookies and drank prosecco. We had probably a half hour or so to jump off the boat and swim in the beautiful, clear Ionian Sea near Isola Bella. The water is deep (ie you can’t touch the bottom), but the boat had plenty of lifejackets and noodles you could use if you don’t feel comfortable swimming or don’t want to tread water the entire time. After the swim, we hopped back on board and went around to another bay where we saw a bunch of dolphins. On the way back, the captain invited the two little kids on our trip to “drive” the boat. They were thrilled. Our trip was super chill with really fun and friendly people. We would have done it again if we’d had the time. 11/10 recommend.
