What are people saying about Mexico City

Marisol
Our guide, Marisol, was beyond what we expected. The tour she gave was extremely insightful. She helped create number of plans prior to our trip that already showed her thoughtful, friendly, and respectful personality. Her tour is what made us want to come back to Mexico City again to explore more! Thank you, Marisol. It was a pleasure meeting you!

Don’t sleep on this tour!
This tour was perfect from start to finish. Edgar and Rosa picked us up on time. We B lined it for the pyramids and arrived right at opening. Getting there for opening is so important from what I could tell. We left Roma Norte at 7:00am to do this. Many other tours leave at 8:00am or later. This is too late. The second main point is that we had a private tour. I won’t attach the images of what a large group looks like but trust me you want none of it. Rosa was the tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the pyramids and Mexico’s history. She’s very down to earth and I truly enjoyed the side conversations we shared throughout the tour. We were back to our hotel by noon avoiding any traffic issues. Highly recommend. Private tours cost more but they are superior.

My husband and a close...
My husband and a close friend and I had a private tour. Ligia picked us up at our Airbnb promptly at 8 am. She speaks Spanish, English, and French very well and switched between English and Spanish with ease as our friend is a native Spanish speaker. She was very knowledgeable about all of the sites as well as entertaining. Ligia led the tours of each site at a leisurely pace and was very attentive to our needs. She is a very safe and confident driver. Her vehicle was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Ligia for any tour she
chooses to lead.

You won’t be sorry if you do this! Great tour!
Don’t miss this opportunity to see an incredible piece of Mexican history and prepare to be amazed! Comfortable shoes and hat a must. My husband climbed the pyramid of the moon, but not me as I was happy just being there and experiencing it!
Our guide was Ivan… he was wonderful. Such a nice person and so knowledgeable. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. Plus he was very respectful of us being in our seventies and needing rest stops here and there. You learn so much more with a terrific guide like Ivan.

Great day with amazing guide Jonathan!
Definitely go with a guide to the museum and castle. Our guide Jonathan was AMAZING!! He really curated our experience of the museum and castle, pointing out the most important things and teaching us about the history in a very fun, interactive and memorable way. He had great insight and was able to answer all our questions. Our day with him was the perfect prelude to our trip to the pyramids the next day, as we already had a thorough overview. He also took excellent photos of us! Cannot recommend Jonathan highly enough. We had the best day with him!

Xochimilco & Coyoacan, Sí!!!
Sarai is totally delightful and very knowledgeable. We especially loved our boat ride at Xochimilco -- so calm and relaxing after the hour-long drive through crazy Mexico City traffic! Also was a really good thing to start early in the morning while it was still a little cool.
Coyohuacan is charming, and I could definitely spend more time there. The Blue House gives a good idea of what Frida's (and Diego's) life was like, although it was quite crowded and difficult to see all the exhibits due to other tourists blocking the way.

Great tour of Teotihuacan...
Great tour of Teotihuacan and Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe including delicious lunch. Our tour guide Veronica was fantastic. She spent the entire time providing us a history of the sites, details of cultural significance, tips for viewing, and lots of help with a 102-year old family member.

Excellent private tour.
Ana was wonderful and accommodating. There were certain things I wanted to focus on, and she was more than happy to accommodate us. Being old, we also needed to take a few breaks, which she was also happy to accommodate (some guides want to make it to the end, no matter what).
We didn't see everything, but we saw what we wanted to see with Ana. Thanks g for a great tour!

Our walking tour was the...
Our walking tour was the perfect first experience to get us acclimated to the city. It was a great overview of the Zocalo. Aris was very knowledgeable and thorough. I enjoyed the sites and the history and took note of where I wanted to explore further.

Colour and splendour
An amazing trip. Alan and Hector were wonderful, bilingual, guides, switching effortlessly between English and Spanish. They were kind and attentive throughout the day.
The university visit was fascinating and then the trip to Cocoyan steadily paced so we reached the Frida Kahlo museum in good time. Casa Azul was a dream. Cocoyan was fabulous , just wish we had had longer there as I had to race round the market and barely saw the area after the museum. Xochimilco was special too. Obviously hugely busy and touristy but that doesn’t take away from the sheer joy of colourful boats, people offering food and drink on neighbouring boats, seeing mariachi bands & a tiny piglet as well as a heron & a man with a huge snake wrapped round his body. Wild. Highly recommend this trip.

Highlight of our trip!
The tour of the pyramids was the highlight of our trip to CDMX. We went on New Year's Day and had no traffic. It was basically an Uber driver who picked us up and drove us there. We got there relatively quickly (40 minutes) and met with our guide who spoke English. I sometimes had a hard time understanding him, but he was very friendly and knowledgable. The pyramids are absolutely incredible. You should not miss them. Although you cannot climb up the Pyramid of the Sun, you can on the Pyramid of the Moon, and the view is amazing. Don't miss doing that! There are a lot of vendors between the two pyramids, but not really in an annoying way. I liked some of the items they were selling and bought a magnet that I really liked and seemed like good quality.
After the tour, we were taken to a restaurant where we ordered and got served the best food on our trip. The tortilla soup was probably the best I've ever had and the mole was also fantastic. My family ordered various other things and everything was delicious. Definitely go with the tour that includes the lunch. I was so happy we did that instead of the cave lunch I originally wanted. Although it would have been cool to see the cave, I cannot imagine the food being better than what we were served on this tour. Also, the cook was a lovely woman who handmade everything herself. Great experience.
Don't hesitate to book this tour!

Better with an early start
Highly recommend this with the early start. Its well worth it when you see the bus loads of people arriving as you leave.
If anything, even earlier is better because it can get really hot. The guide was okay. Note that afterwards you are taken to tequila & mescal tasting and where you can buy souvenir, the vendors are nice and not too pushy. So glad i went.
