The 2-day desert tour departs from Marrakech in a comfortable vehicle in the direction of Zagora via the valley of Draa. The trip includes a camel trek and an overnight stay in a desert camp. The 2-day private tour of the desert starts at 7:30 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech towards the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. We cross the high Atlas Mountains. After passing Tizi n'Tichka, we left the main road and took a side road to Telouet village to visit the ancient Kasbah Telouet, a former residence of the Galaoui family. Amazing mind blowing experience

Elhass picked us up promptly outside the Koutoubia Mosque and proceeded to drive us into the Medina stopping at Bahia Palace, Medersa Ben Youssef, the Secret Garden Jemaa el Fna pointed out the Sadien Tombeaux and various mosques. He drove us through most of the souk area which was fantastic - we would never have walked around many of them. We were messaged audio guides beforehand of the different places we visited which was very useful. You have to buy the tickets at the places you stop at and most of them were very busy. Overall we had an amazing experience in the Medina and we would never have done all that on our own. It was an expensive trip with all the extra entry fees, but so worthwhile. Would highly recommend to give you a true flavour of Marrakesh.

Unforgettable experience

This day trip was fantastic, varied and so informative, you get to see 3 valleys, atlas mountains, Eoumli waterfalls, traditional Berber house and breakfast, you can buy their lovely argan oil products made by the cooperative women there which are made by hand and at the end you can also have camel ride, the value for money is just incomprehensible in my view absolutely worth it, the crew is also amazing, great experienced driver and fantastic guide, our guide today 18 October was Redouane, he was so genuinely welcoming and kind, we had to leave him some tip to hopefully show our great appreciation, we highly recommend this trip to everyone who visits Marrakech

Want to know about the Tuk Tuk ride

The Tuk Tuk ride was just what we expected. No frills but comfortable. Be sure to carry the tour company phone number. We called because our driver was not there waiting for us, but it didn’t take him long to come. Tuk Tuks only operate within the Medina area. They do not come to the hotel; that was a surprise because we requested and confirmed a hotel pick up only to find out that wasn’t possible. All in all, once we got started, we had a delightful ride through the Medina, including stops.

5 stars! I’m glad we booked a private tour in the morning before the Medina got too busy. We spent about 3 hours exploring, visited the Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Secret Garden, did some shopping, and learned a lot about Moroccan culture and history. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and obliging. We toured the famous historical and cultural landmarks the city is famous for. We also experienced so many delightful surprises, like so many medieval traditions that are still very much alive here. It was a great experience overall. But, be prepared for hours on your feet and you will be ‘guided’ to souk sellers who will ask for your business.

Amazing tour of the medina with Hakeem

We were a little cautious about navigating the medina by ourselves so we booked this tour in the hope that we could enjoy the sights without being hassled and also learn a little something of the history. The tour did not disappoint - Hakeem was full of knowledge and shared so many interesting stories with us. He conducted the tour at a pace that suited us and our children and allowed us time to browse when we wanted. He was brilliant with the children, took us to see some really amazing artisans and was generally just a really kind and interesting man - highly recommend!

My guide, Omar, was outstanding—his knowledge of Marrakech and Morocco was truly impressive, and his passion for sharing the city's history, culture, and traditions made the experience unforgettable. Omar gave me a genuine insider's perspective, taking me beyond the typical tourist experience. He introduced me to some of the best local shops, where I learned about traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. We visited an apothecary with an amazing selection of locally grown herbs, oils, and natural remedies, and I discovered beautiful handcrafted Moroccan lanterns while learning about the artistry and skill that goes into making them. One of my favorite moments was visiting a shoe workshop, where we met the artisan creating beautiful shoes by hand. He also helped me find fresh, delicious food that was perfect for enjoying while exploring the city. Every stop felt authentic, thoughtfully chosen, and added to my appreciation of Marrakech. I left the tour with a much deeper understanding of the city, its people, and its rich culture. Omar's kindness, expertise, and genuine care made the evening truly special.
