Our tour was okay. It was good to get our bearings on the souks and be more comfortable with it. However at times it felt like we were being taken to the guides friends stores where the prices were high and products were not unique. Additionally, we were not given tips on how to haggle or what good prices were. We found we got better prices on our own. We did like the carpet place and found unique rugs for a good price. Overall, would recommend just door get comfortable with the souks and then do more shopping on your own!

This was really walk through the medina, guiding there was not. Most of the time guide was talking on the phone. He rushed through the medina like he was hurry to be somewhere else. It looked like there was really no plan except trying to get us inside some partner shops.

Good introduction to the souks- but did not expect it to be a high end shopping trip. We were taken to several places where we felt pressured into buying. The prices were very high and we felt ripped off. We felt the tour guide made us more vulnerable, and did not offer the protection from this as we expected.

The tour guide was nice but our tour was supposed to last 2.5 hours. The guide kept taking us to all the people he knew to try and get us to buy something. It was obvious. After we didn't purchase anything, he told us the tour is over because he had another tour. The total time of the tour was 1 hour, 15 minutes

This was a great tour. Our tour guide Mohammed was knowledgeable and helpful. Our group was small and quite nice. I recommend pinning any shops you wish to revisit on Google Maps. The souk is quite the maze. The guide definitely stops at partner vendors but that’s okay. I appreciated the vendors and purchased many items.
The meeting place has many different groups and can be a bit chaotic. Don’t worry. Your guide will track you down.

The guide (Mohamed) did not make any attempt to find us. He actually walked away, and if not for another tour operator, it would not of happened. This is not a tour of the souqs, it’s a shopping trip to the guide’s favourite shops.
We said no rug shops at the beginning, yet we were taken to a rug shop! We were looking for history and an overview of the workings of the souq, but we got none of that.

Great way to familiarise yourself with the Souks and understand how they work and where to find everything. Overall, the experience was not bad. However, the tour guide was late due to traffic, so we felt that our time during the tour was rushed. There were times where we felt that the tour guide was a bit pushy.

Our guide, Abdel was well known and well liked amongst these peers of across all of the souks. he was an excellent historian taking us to see the artisans at work, guiding us to the hidden places all that we would not have been able to find ourselves. Lots of fun the time flew by.

Mohamed was very knowledgeable about the best places to shop! He asked us what we were looking for before we started, then brought us to the most authentic places to buy what we wanted. We heard the story of the souk owners - most were multi-generational. Mohamed helped us shop for leather jackets and bags, rugs, lanterns, storage boxes and makeup bags, skincare, jewelry, shoes, art, and more! Would 100% recommend if you're looking for great quality shopping in the souks.

Abdul was great!! So much knowledge and fun! Led us in and around the souk for 3 hours but it definitely didn’t feel that long! It’s a maze without a guide and I’m so glad I chose this tour to explore Marrakech with. Def would recommend and do it again. I went as a solo woman in her 30s and felt safe with the group.

If there was a 1/2 star system, I would give it 2.5. Our goal was to learn more about the different souks and get a feel for managing walking around the Medina. Our guide asked us what we wanted to see and we told him a little bit of everything. Sadly we spent over 1/3 of the time trapped in a rug store while the guide was on his phone. We did not want to buy a rug. It was a hard sell and we felt uncomfortable. Unless you want to buy a rug ,which were beautiful and skillfully made, I would tell your guide not to bring you. The guide allowed us to believe we would just be looking at the rugs but then after 20 mins of looking we were shown to the shop “owner” who had us sit down and had around 25 rugs unrolled in front of us, we then went backwards and had to pick our favorite out the 25. When we got to the last rug the owner tried to sell it to us. We then went to a leather souk again the guide interdicted us to the owner then sat on his phone which was the pattern for the day. We didn’t find what we were looking for (a smaller purse) and no other places were offered. We visited a jewelry shop and then walked through the Medina for a bit leading us to Jemaa el-Fnaa. We were not shown around at all. We had asked him to drop us off at a restaurant near the square where we had reservations (which was agreed upon at booking) but instead he just gave us directions. The tour ended 1/2 hour early. The guide was not rude. But this was not worth the money. I would instead walk around yourself. This tour did not give additional information or history.

This was an outstanding tour with an excellent guide Mohamed Kareem. He was knowledgeable and informative about the city. Yaya was the best guide ever. He took us to the best shops, behind the scenes and back of house experiences that you usually don’t get to see in the larger tours. Can’t recommend Yaya enough for a private tour! He also took us to the less known northern part of the souks for metal work, leather work, wood work, and to see other artisan’s at work. No shops (and we still saw plenty of those) just hard working people in their work environment. We sampled plenty of delicious olives, pastries, and nuts. We got to spend time is select shops, and weren’t rushed. Three hours turned to four and we had just the best time. So much more to share but just know to ask for Yaya.

Great little tour, our guide, who I forget his name, took us round to the quieter bits of the souks, but the more interesting, we saw the workshops and the guys actually making the items they sell. He was very knowledgeable, polite and waited for people to catch up if anyone got stuck behind. Well worth it if its your 1st visit and you are not sure what to expect.
