Practical option to discover a city
Great way to see a city with tasting local food. Interesting spots. Our tour guide, Manas, was kind and respectful. He was also knowledgeable about the city and Kyrgyz culture! We recommend a tour, and him, in particular as a great tour guide, with confidence!

Best thing you'll do in Kyrgyzstan!
Communication with the tour company was fantastic from the outset, clear with the location and time of meeting. There's a coffee shop at the train station if you want to grab one in the morning! As a solo traveller, I booked this as I wanted a unique experience. I was greeted by Ali, he had a spacious car that accommodated all of us, there was plenty of leg room which was a worry given the length of time spent in a car. Spotless throughout! The tour, it's 2 days with lots of stop offs, you can see many things in such a short time. It may seem expensive but you go at a pace that suits yourself, if you want to stop and see something it can happen. Despite many hours spent in the car going from point A to point B, we would stop off at local spots and see canyons, rivers and beauty spots. The extra add on for horse riding is recommended, I've never ridden a horse but the guide was a local farmer with ten horses, he was helpful and you feel safe and cared for. We spent an hour or so trotting along the lake, local fields and the backdrop is incredible. The eagle show was fantastic, managed to sit on a horse and hold an eagle, not every day you get to do that! The yurt stay was great, the food was in abundance, plentiful of options for breakfast and dinner. There's a small souvenir shop on site but I'd save your money for Osh bazaar as it's cheaper. The yurt location is right on Issyk-Kul lake, there's other travellers staying there so be warned. There's a bar on site, showers with towels too. The yurts have power and a light, there's heaters too. You never feel cold as the beds are thick and comfy, there's also spare blankets available. Be warned that there may be power cuts, so bring a torch (or use your phone). Overall, this is my highlight of visiting this lovely country. Ali our host was fantastic and if he's your host, you're in for a treat!

Thoroughly enjoyable.
Completed this trip with Manas and one other traveller. He picked us up in his car and drove us to the mountains/park. He was fantastic, every question we threw at him, he had an answer. Manas was an excellent photographer and helpful with the language barrier when speaking with locals. The tour itself is nice and easy, you walk to a vantage point and loop back before taking the cable cart up to the top (optional). It's recommended for the panoramic views. There's a few shops around including souvenirs. You can grab some food/coffee here, so don't worry in that regard. There's also a few eagles, archery and locals playing their trade.

Aly was a great tour...
Aly was a great tour guide, giving us all the information we needed to know and bringing us to the different places. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends. The stay at the yurt was comfortable and the food served was delicious. Indeed, a very great hospitality.

A visit to Kyrgyzstan will yield some unforgettable memories, from kayaking on Issyk Kul to experiencing the original Silk Road with a history that stretches back more than 1,200 years. There are so many opportunities to experience nature here, too, with the majestic Tian Shan mountains and alpine lakes ever on the horizon. Kyrgyzstan tours can assist with making your itinerary special, with multi-day options to experience life as a typical nomad on horseback and fully guided tours to the Alay Mountains.
