Glorious day in Kobe
I booked this trip a few days in advance and I was very pleased to hear that I was the only participant and they were willing to go ahead with the tour.
My guide was the wonderful Lucy (Ikuko). Her English was execellent and she was a delight! Bubbly, fun and a wonderful person. She had great knowledge of her home town.
The tour was a great mix of local sites and gave a general overview of Kobe with interesting and beautiful places to see - and some I revisted in the preceeding days. The Herb Garden was stunning!
I would not hestitate to recommend this tour!

A leisurely stroll through kyoto
Rather than rushing to see multiple tourist sites through taxi’s, we opted to customize a tour that utilized public transportation and short walk through neighborhoods in Kyoto. We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha, then sanzyusangen-so, experienced Kyoto noodle, then walked through the old geisha district and finally Gion. We then concluded with shopping on then street past Gion. It was a really nice visit that gave us a local flavor. The tour guide was wonderful and communicated in advance so that we can customize the tour to our liking!

Great day in Kyoto
Ahmed our tour guide was wonderful. He was full of educational and historical information. He and our driver were attentive to our need to be back at our cruise ship port on time. If you are cruising Japan, I highly recommend you book private tours through Viator. Having your own private guide and driver is so much better, and often less expensive than booking tours thru the cruise ship. You have the personal touch with the guide and your own driver to where you are not shoved on a bus with 30 other people and one guide. If you're traveling this far to Japan, pay the extra money for a private guide.

Absolutely amazing tour and guide
This was the perfect Kyoto tour for our family (two older kids). LJ was the absolute best guide. He explained things along the way and made sure we could have memorable photos to go along with our trip. Our kids haven’t stopped raving about him and the tour which never happens! This is a must do for Kyoto

Excellent Guide = Excellent Tour
Kodai was an outstanding guide who customized an itinerary that matched my interests while accommodating my physical limitations. His English was excellent, making communication effortless throughout the tour, and his youthful energy made the day especially enjoyable. Despite his age, he was impressively knowledgeable about Kobe and the places we visited.
One of the highlights of the day was simply spending time with him. Whether we were stopping for a meal or enjoying a coffee break, our conversations about life and our two cultures were delightful, insightful, and, for me at least, quite educational. He was easy to talk to and genuinely enjoyable company.
I highly recommend Kodai to anyone visiting Kobe. When I return, I definitely want him to be my guide again.

Must book tour!
Hiroman was a great tour guide! He taught us so much about sake and was very informative and fun. It was a very hot day and he made sure we were comfortable walking to each brewery and took us to areas for breaks. He even had a bottle of sake for us to drink in between breweries and snacks! He was so personable and attentive. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Enjoyable visit to Kyoto.
Great visit to Kyoto. Our driver and our guide YUKA were wonderful. YUKA did everything to tailor the tour to our interests, including responding to a special request, while providing excellent information. Pre tour communications were very timely and responsive.
We would highly recommend touring with YUKA.

You can do it all with the right guide
Ryan was an outstanding guide and made the entire day feel effortless. He connected with us right away, kept everything organized without rushing, and shared just the right amount of insight at each stop.
He also took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch that we never would have found on our own. The Shinkansen from Kobe to Kyoto was a highlight in itself, and Ryan made sure we experienced it the right way.
We covered a lot in Kyoto without it ever feeling overwhelming, which really speaks to how well he managed the day. If you have the chance to tour with him, take it.

Leave it to the locals
We left our day in our guide, Ryan's capable hands. When he suggested a visit to a herb garden, we were somewhat sceptical, but WOW, it was fantastic and totally unexpected. A real hidden gem. After exploring the Nunobiki Herb Gardens we made our way through Kitano with their well preserved merchant homes. And no visit to Kobe would be complete without sampling their beef. Ryan took us to an area known only to locals, where we had lunch. The Ikuta Shrine was a touch of serenity before hitting Chinatown and the end of our walking tour.

Kobe excursion tour
Michelle was an amazing tour guide during our stop in Kobe. Since it was our first time there and we had limited time at port, we really appreciated how much she was able to show us in such a short amount of time.
We did a walking tour that also included riding the subway, which gave us a great feel for the city and how locals get around. Michelle made everything easy and stress-free while still fitting so much into our day.
She introduced us to local candies, Kobe beef, and ice cream, all of which were amazing and made the experience even more memorable. It felt like we were able to experience a great mix of the local culture and food in just a few hours.
Michelle was friendly, knowledgeable, and organized, and we are so glad we got to spend our time in Kobe with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting Kobe for the first time!

The best day out EVER!
Zack was super at communicating before our trip and he was very reliable, appearing exactly on time at the cruise port. Zack had a nice clean car with plenty of space.
Nothing was too much trouble for him.
He provided water and traditional treats for our journey. He helped us to navigate the sushi menu at a lovely traditional restaurant. He is a lovely guy, with a well thought out itinerary incorporating all of our preferences and some great suggestions of his own. His command of the English language is exceptional. Out group highly recommends him! Thank you Zack for a very memorable day.

We had a great time with...
We had a great time with Sumile! We ended up with a private tour with her. She picked us up right at the cruise terminal and guided us via train, walking, taxi, and local bus/trolley throughout the city. Good walking shoes and plenty of water were a must. The Kobe beef lunch was the perfect ending after working up an appetite walking and seeing the sites. We had great conversations with Sumile and even had the opportunity to chat with a 29th generation Shinto priest who heard us discussing the religion. Quite the memorable adventure!
