This is a medium/easy hike of 7 kilometers (4.35 miles) around one of the largest volcanic craters in the Azores, Caldeira do Faial. It's a perfect way to enjoy the fantastic landscapes inside this giant crater and see some parishes that exist around the island.

The Ten Volcanos Trail leads from the Caldeira of Faial down to the westernmost point of the island in Capelinhos. You will be hiking ten volcanos, walk along the Levadas to arrive at the youngest spot of the Azores. The hike takes 7 to 8 hours and is physically challenging.
