The official Oak Island guided tour costs CA$99 for adults and CA$35 for children ages 6–12; it’s free for kids 5 and under. Tickets include a guided 2-hour tram tour with 15 stops, including the Money Pit and Smith's Cove. You could also just stop at the on-site interpretive center (CA$5) and check out the artifacts, but the only way to explore the island is by taking the tour.

Sort of. Anyone can visit the on-site interpretive center (tickets are CA$5) and adjacent gift shop, but beyond that, independent exploration isn't permitted. The island is privately owned, and access is granted only through scheduled, guided tours—be sure to book ahead, since they usually sell out.

Yes, this is exactly that island, the one that’s home to the world's longest-running treasure hunt. The public can go on guided 2-hour tram tours to visit key treasure-hunting sites featured on the TV show, including the Money Pit, the Swamp, Nolan’s Cross, the War Room set, and Smith's Cove.

The Money Pit is a mysterious depression under an old oak tree on Nova Scotia’s Oak Island, discovered by Daniel McGinnis in 1795. It’s what sparked the world's longest-running treasure hunt, made famous by the TV show The Curse of Oak Island. Despite over 230 years of excavation and theories, its true origin and contents remain unresolved.

Oak Island is set on Nova Scotia's South Shore, a little more than an hour’s drive southwest of Halifax. Tours depart from the Oak Island Interpretive Center in Martin's Point, near Mahone Bay and Chester. (For the slower, more scenic route, take Highway 3 along the coast through Mahone Bay and Chester, all the way to the center.)
