Great tour. Could be challenging…
We chose this option over an expensive cruise sponsored excursion. The audio works very well, the auto start is a nice feature. The walk is lovely. It can be demanding if you’re physically challenged. Uphill and some uneven walking paths. Be advised. Great tour and would recommend!

Self paced Halifax walking tour
This self paced audio walking tour was great. The tour covers many areas in Halifax and because we were in control of the pace had plenty of time to investigate further the locations. The map easily brought us to the tour locations and with the GPS link it was great as you arrive at the spot the audio narrative begins. Allowed us to also take a break when we needed. Loved this tour very much worth it!

Most things in Halifax...
Most things in Halifax were closed for winter by the time I went there in November. This was a very interesting tour. Glad I discovered this app, and I plan on using it in some other cities where there aren’t organized tours.

Terrific self-guided tour
Excellent guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. The app was easy to use and it was simple to navigate with the map.

Guide helps to keep your bearing
When we arrived at a site because the narration started — or we might have missed it. Guide explained more than the travel books.

Walking tour of Halifax
We learned a lot about Halifax and saw places we would not have seen unless we took the tour. The Common Gardens was the highlight of the tour. It is beautiful.

Good info, sketchy app
I liked the audio guide overall, good information and it’s a great way to visit the city. My only complain is that the app would often crash and I needed to reopen it all the time, very annoying!

Fun if quirky
It is an interesting technique to give a self guided tour.
The mapping technology is a bit buggy, but not insurmountable.
The tour is interesting, but I found some of the stops really uninteresting. “The oldest outdoor park in Canada.” Okay, kind of cool, but it just looked like a park. :)
Fun, if you have the time.

It took a little time to...
It took a little time to figure out the navigation. The information was interesting. My traveling partner was unexpectedly unable to go on the tour, but enjoyed listening to the commentary afterwards.
