What are people saying about Dublin Castle

It was advertised as ...
It was advertised as tour of Dublin Castle, Dublin Cathadral and the Bbok of Kells. That is when I purchased it. I wa not notified if any changes. I did not visit the Cathedral. We were only allowed to see the exterior of the castle under major activity.
The tour guide, Alan with a yellow hat, wa great. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining and extra helpful when needed.

Great comprehensive tour
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Pointed out a lot of interesting sites too bad the library at Book of Kells is undergoing a cleaning that means most books are off the shelves but that is out of anyone’s control.

Good tour, but not near enough time at the Book of Kells location!
We enjoyed Kate's commentary and sure learned a lot throughout our tour, but our main reason for signing up for this tour was to see the Book of Kells, library and exhibits. We were not given nearly enough time to connect to the accompanying audio, go through the Book of Kells exhibit, Long Hall and listen to the audio at each station. This was a huge disappointment. Wish now we had booked the tickets on our own.

Very fun tour 🇮🇪😊
Had a great experience seeing the book of Kell’s, Dublin, and the Dublin castle. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for us.

Best commentary and...
Best commentary and insights on any tour I have taken; our guide Edward M. was outstanding. He was engaging and provided us with great understanding of what we were seeing. Highly recommend Edward and this tour. Although the tour itself was pricey; so worth the investment.

Review
We loved hearing some of the history of Ireland as part of the tour. Sharon was awesome and we were glad to meet her!

Lots of History with Excellent Guide
Our guide, Seamus, was very knowledgeable and shared lots of history as we walked from the Book of Kells at Trinity College to the Dublin Castle. He took the time to take photos of anyone in the group who wanted them at each stop. In addition, we were late getting to the tour due to cruise ship tender issues and he was very gracious to accept us into the group once we arrived.

Great historical background of Dublin
This is an informative tour about the history of the Book of Kell’s, Trinity College, and other historical events that happened in not just Dublin, but Ireland as a whole. It is a heavy walking tour. Make sure you have good walking shoes. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable!

Our tour guide, Seamus,...
Our tour guide, Seamus, deserves 6 stars!. He provided an abundance of entertaining information and made the experience more than we could have hoped for- including a delicious dinner recommendation. Thank you Seamus! The fish & chips at Davy Byrnes was great!

Extraordinary Tour and Guide
This was a great tour of central Dublin, including Dublin Castle, the Book of Kells, and other sights. Our guide, Declan, was engaging and knowledgeable, and offered both humor and insight into the attractions that we were touring. I would recommend his tour without hesitation.

Book of Kells and other sites!
A lot of walking can’t spend too much time in one area because there is too much to see on this tour.

Knowledgeable local tour guide
Wow. Just wow. Ed was an amazing tour guide. He was local and knowledgeable. He taught us so much about Irish history and took us to so many locations that we could use to visualize all of the historical information. 100% recommended.

City Hall and Trinity College are about a five-minute walk from Dublin Castle and both are well worth a visit.
Wheelchair users can access most of Dublin Castle. However, the Viking Excavation and parts of the Chapel Royal are inaccessible.
