We were lucky to have...
We were lucky to have Noel as our guide for this tour.
Noel gave us a brief history of the Book of Kells prior to entering the building.
The Book of Kells and the long Library are an amazing thing to see and experience.
Next we did a brief history walking tour ending at the Dublin Castle.
This is a must tour to do if you are in Dublin!

Great comprehensive tour
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Pointed out a lot of interesting sites too bad the library at Book of Kells is undergoing a cleaning that means most books are off the shelves but that is out of anyone’s control.

A nice visit to the College and area.
Dermot was a lovely gentleman and very enthusiastic about the tour. He was kind and engaging with everyone, and gentle in his explanations when people wondered why the tour couldn’t be more or less in an area.
Some of his explanations of the symbols in the Book of Kells differ from the commentary on the posters alongside the displayed pages, so visitors may want to double check what they learned.
All in all, a lovely tour and glad we did it!

Proofing about 1/2 of the books in the library. Dublin castle is actually closed so we didn’t get to see it but loved the tour. Suggestion to wear comfortable shoes and clothes as you are on your feet moving for the 2.5 hours.

Book of Kells
We were not able to see the grounds of Dublin Castle although it was listed as a site to see. Tour company did not try to accomodate us seeing something else.

Great way to know the history of what you are seeing and experiencing as you walk through each spot. Always get recognition of other local places to see.

Book of Kells and Dublin walking tour
Janet did an excellent job of explaining Irish history, and Dublin in particular. Her knowledge and insight made this tour special. Her enthusiasm was infectious and made us want to learn more. We highly recommend this experience!

Best commentary and...
Best commentary and insights on any tour I have taken; our guide Edward M. was outstanding. He was engaging and provided us with great understanding of what we were seeing. Highly recommend Edward and this tour. Although the tour itself was pricey; so worth the investment.

Variety is the spice of life
Loved the bonus learning about Mollie and the Dublin castle. Book of Kells is simply a must and our guide Janet was simply lovely in the telling of all.
