This is not a hotel buffet or a generic demo. It is a home-style class centered on a full Dominican menu that moves from tropical drinks to savory bites, a main dish, and a coconut dessert. The menu brings together recognizable local staples—mofongo/mofonguitos, pica pollo, tostones, and Morir Soñando—so the experience feels unmistakably Dominican.

Rather than recreating a restaurant barbecue, this class introduces guests to the Dominican patio barbecue tradition in the setting where informal cooking and social meals naturally take place: a local home. The experience is built around the process of preparing a Dominican barbecue, from seasoning and preparing the ingredients to managing the grill and serving the finished food. Don't simply watch a chef cook; participate in the preparation and grilling while learning practical techniques you can recreate at home. The menu combines grilled Dominican favorites with traditional sides and sauces, creating a complete meal rather than a series of isolated tastings. The class finishes around the patio table, where cooking naturally becomes conversation and a shared meal.

Learn a new skill while on vacation with this private full-day surf camp near Punta Cana. Enjoy pickup from your accommodations to the camp, held at a beginner-friendly beach. After a class on theory and water safety, students practice in the water on a board with a personal instructor to guide the way. After a break for lunch (provided), students can continue surfing in the water.

This experience treats Dominican food as living history, not just something to prepare and eat. The stories shared during the activity are backed by documented research rather than presented as folklore or general cultural facts. It also gives equal importance to the people and traditions that kept this culinary knowledge alive, especially the women who passed it from one generation to the next, often without writing it down. The result is a different way to discover Dominican culture: through its ingredients, the stories carried by them and the meal everyone shares at the end.
