What are people saying about Avignon

Great intro to Provence
I was very happy with this tour as a solo traveler without a car. I booked it on my very first day in Avignon to orient myself to the area. It’s a long day, so you do need a lot of energy. There are half day options which I think would be a good choice for some that like a more leisurely day, it really depends on how much energy you have.

For Van Gogh lovers, but discover amazing Arles,
Sylvia was a great guide, and gave us an overview of the history of where we were while she was driving to our destinations. Solid information on van Gogh, and it was so wonderful to stand in the spots where van Gogh actually painted his masterpieces. I do wish the tour was a little bit longer for more time at each stop. I went for van Gogh, but discovered the amazing Arles in the process. Wonderful medieval city.

A hidden gem
About an hour outside of Avignon is this cute little town with a hidden gem of a tour. Don’t miss this if you have a few hours. Our tour guide, Johann, dogs and truffle hunter were awesome. Johann was very engaging with each of the guests and gave us a great education on the truffle industry in a very entertaining way. My husband wasn’t sure he would enjoy this and surprise, surprise, it was terrific. Not only did we learn how this difficult process works, but we got to eat the truffles.!!!

Wonderful day in Provence!
We were a group of 8, two families with teenagers from 12-17. We had an amazing day with our guide Kelcy. She was kind, patient and knowledgeable. We had such a good day visiting beautiful sites. It was relaxing and enjoyable from the arena in Nîmes, the picturesque town of Uzès to the impressive Pont du Gard. Absolutely loved our day!
