You will then spend free time in the village of Gordes, built of dry stone on a rocky promontory. Then we will make a quick stop at the iconic viewpoint on the village before a picnic consisting of fresh produce from local farms. We will then enjoy the magnificent lavender fields of the Plateau des Claparèdes and Velleron, all with Mont Ventoux as a backdrop, interspersed with a visit to the village of Roussillon, with its facades entirely composed of ochre, giving it its unique color.

One amazing day in Provence

This tour was one of the best I have ever done. A full day taking in the very best of Provence, beautiful ancient hill villages, castles, fields of Lavender and culminating with the amazing Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard. Our guide was Gordana, her vehicle was spotless and comfortable with welcome, efficient Air-Con. Gordana was amazing, keeping us to schedule so we missed nothing, but never rushed. This a whistle-stop tour so as to see so much but Gordana ensured we had some time to have a wander around each place, and we had more than an hour for lunch in Rousillon, and some time walking through the lavender! She is hugely knowledgeable on all facets of the area and gave us a brief history of each place or site in addition to the agriculture of the area – the vines, the olives, the lavender – and of course the Mistral. Gordana is passionate about Provence and this was infectious, and all with such a sense of fun throughout the day. I arrived back in Avignon enthralled by the experience – I even in proved my French! Une journée à ne jamais oublier! I thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore a lot of Provence in one day, in such a pleasant way. Merci beaucoup Gordana

Perfect way to spend the day.

Great day with a nice driver/guide, Eric, and very nice fellow travelers. The sites were all incredible and the day was perfect. The van was very comfortable and cool. There was ample time when the tour was over to get something to drink/eat and still visit the Popes Palace on my own later that afternoon. It was a wonderful day.

Very nice way to get to know Avignon and its history. Our guide, Matilde, was well informed on the history of the places we visited. We loved our treat of the glass of wine and assortment of cheeses at the tour’s conclusion. Be advised there is a good deal of walking. Also, if it’s sunny, bring a hat.

We booked a half day tour to luberon with gordana. It was amazing and gordana was a wonderful guide. She explained us the entire history of the area as we passed by. She had us stop at really beautiful photogenic spots. Her recommendations of local patisserie and ice cream spots were so good. We had a great time.

Frederico was absolutely perfect! He was knowledgeable, funny, and was genuinely fun to be around all day. I cannot say enough good things about his service and tour! Great choice to do charming villages and a Roman site.

Our guide, Joanna, was superb. She had a vast amount of knowledge about a host of things from ancient history to Van Gogh. The tour could easily be two hours longer with an extra hour at Pont du Gard and a half hour at each village (time for a light meal!), but it gives you a great overview.
