Top Algarve Natural Attractions in 2026

Many people visit the famous Benagil Caves in the Algarve on a boat tour, but this exciting tour takes you inside these natural formations by kayak. Join a small group and set off from Benagil Beach for the cave system adventure. Once you reach the grotto, you can step out of your kayak and take lots of pictures of the natural skylight, something you can't do on a boat tour.

Portugal’s Benagil Caves are a popular destination for travelers, but they’re only accessible by boat. Take the stress out of renting your own boat and navigating unfamiliar water with this Benagil Caves Cruise from Portimao. This cruise near the Algarve coast gives you great views of the area and opportunities to catch sight of dolphins in their natural habitat before stopping for a swim and time to explore the caves.

The Algarve coastline is dotted with hidden caves and secluded coves, but reaching them from land is not always possible. On this sightseeing tour, cruise along the shoreline to top attractions including the ancient Benagil cave and spot wild dolphins splashing through the rolling waves—with on-board commentary from your guide. Along the way, discover tranquil beaches and perhaps take a dip if sea conditions allow.
