Itinerary

This sightseeing cruise departs from Toronto Harbour on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Climb aboard the elegant Oriole, a 76-foot, Great Lakes steamship replica. Choose from the spacious, open-air observation deck or settle into the air-conditioned cabin. Either way, the views will be up-close and incredible from the tranquil waters of Toronto’s naturally protected harbour.

Enjoy this entertaining and educational 60-minute sightseeing tour of Toronto, cruising past the city’s newly revitalized harbor-front and the Toronto Island parklands. It wasn't clear when arriving at the Harbour as to where to go. I asked one person and they directed me to one area of the Harbour. When I got to the ship the captain of that ship told me to go to other end of the Harbour where there was a blue and white boat. I have a bad knee so I was trying to get over there as quickly as possible. We arrived and they were pulling stairs from the boat. They could have just put stairs back on, but the agent for that cruise told me we had missed it and next one was at 2pm. We were there to kill some time before the Jays game, so we missed that cruise. I was told that I could come back after the game and be on standby. I live in Montreal so I was leaving after the game. So I was out $72 all because they didn't put stairs back on. Would have taken 2 seconds.

Make sure you get there before the time on your ticket. We got there at two and the boat was already leaving.. We had to wait another half an hour for the next cruise. To the tour company I suggest that you have somewhere on the ticket an earlier boarding time.

It was a gorgeous day in Toronto. This is a comfortable, easy boat ride for about 45-50min. There is a narration too, though it was a bit difficult to hear. The guide was speaking fine, it's just that the sound system didn't carry so well all the way to the back of the boat which is where we sat. Combined with the wind, it was tough to hear. Despite that, there's a drink/snack bar and this was a great way to spend an hour on the lake during a summer afternoon.

A quick way to see the skyline of Toronto and enjoy being out on the water. We boarded 10 minutes before the boat left and there were no seats on the upper deck (boarding starts 15 minutes before departure). We had to sit on the lower deck and it was very warm and hard to hear the tour guide. Everyone was really friendly though and we enjoyed the sights.

Chill cruise on the water

Overall, I really enjoyed the 60-minute Toronto Harbour cruise. The biggest highlight was definitely the incredible views of the Toronto skyline, and I also loved that the route took us around the Toronto Islands, giving us perspectives of the city that we wouldn't have gotten from land. The boat had plenty of seating, although if you stayed in one seat the entire time, you might miss some of the best views. Fortunately, passengers were free to walk around and explore different areas of the boat, which made it easy to take photos and enjoy the scenery from multiple angles. I would have liked a bit more historical information and narration from the tour guide, but if you're looking for a more relaxed cruise where someone isn't talking the entire time, this is actually a nice option. Food and beverages were available for purchase onboard, and while there were a few gnats out on the water, that wasn't really the cruise's fault. Overall, it was a fun experience, we got some great photos, and I'd definitely recommend it as an enjoyable way to spend an hour on the water and see Toronto from a different perspective.

This tour is a nice, leisurely ride around Toronto harbor area and the islands offshore. Our guide, Diego, did a great job of explaining what we were seeing. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the area, as well as a few things that are coming up in the near future. It was a beautiful day for a 1 hour cruise. The only reason I took off one star was because of the seating/standing situation. Chairs (similar to small, wooden dining chairs) are set up in rows throughout the boat. Everyone was seated when the boat started out, but soon everyone was standing along the rail and blocking my view. So, I had to stand also. I would have enjoyed staying seated and watching the view go by, but that was not possible.

Never got to experience the tour only had the unfortunate experience of trying to deal with Viator. Terrible customer service, zero understanding and unable to work with anyone. Do yourself a favor and use a different booking service, this was terrible!!

The boat was a little hidden. Maybe better signage on where they dock is needed. Besides that the tour was great. They showcased some beautiful views and stopped the boat in a few spots allowing for great photo ops. The staff was very friendly and the tour guide is bilingual.

The city view was breathtaking. However, the extra windy weather made it quite chilly at the top of the boat. Fortunately, we could descend to the lower deck to warm up and indulge in hot chocolates.
