A lovely immersive tour, well led and enjoyable. It was fun seeing both Warnemunde and Rostock. The train and tram were fun too.
We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the tour
Great city with lots to see and learn. Our guide Andres was really prepared and very knowledgeable …he really made the tour interesting and we learned so much
This is a great walking tour. Small group with a very knowledgeable and interesting guide, Yvonne. The amount of time was just right. After an hour in the quaint and pretty area of Warnemunde, we took the train and tram as a group to Rostock, another nice city with interesting history. Then we took the tram and train back to Warnemunde.
Great historical overview. Warnemunde and Rostock were memorable. Nice clean cities relative to many other cities.
Andreas provided a personal insight into the sites and history of both Warenmunde and Rostock since he was born and grew up in the area. Excellent tour. Andreas provided maps, pictures and items that enhanced our experience.
Great tour leaving from the cruise port. Lots of walking, wouldn't recommend for children or those with back, leg or foot problems. Lots of history. Tour guide was wonderful.
This was one of the best tours we have done! Daniel was very knowledgeable and he made sure we enjoyed the tour! We saw so much and enjoyed both towns we visited! Great tour beautiful day!!
We really enjoyed our tour with guide, Andreas, who had grown up in the area. He was able to bring East Germany in war times to life for us to understand. He had great information and took us on a great tour of Warnemunde before taking the train to Rostock. The astronomical clock was amazing! I would recommend this tour and especially this guide.
Some walking that isn't too hard. Public transport is efficient and clean. Guide was knowledgeable. Great way to spend the day.
Yvonne was amazing in her historical knowledge and sharing both historical context and present-day culture. Thank you!
This was the perfect way to see both Warnemunde and Rostock in a day. Our guide, Daniel, met us off the cruise ship and was very informative and led us around the cities and the tram and train. Best of all, our group was only 8 people which was much better than a huge cruise ship group.
Yvonne was extremely knowledgeable, adaptable and friendly. She kept the group together and was timely.
This was a wonderful half day trip. We were able to see so much of both places. Yvonne is an expert guide and shared so much information with the group. We rode the train to Rostock and took the city tram. Everything went so smoothly. Highly recommend this trip and guide.
Our tour guide Yvonne, who lives in Rostock, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. Her English was very easy to understand.
Yvonne was a very knowledgeable tour guide with lots of background information to share. Most of the tour is in Rostock after a short tour of Warnemunde, with train transport between the two cities. We learned a lot and really enjoyed it. Wear good shoes because there are a lot of cobblestones.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Andreas! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. He made sure everyone was comfortable, including planning convenient bathroom breaks, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time.
The tour was both informative and fun, with lots of interesting insights and stories along the way. Andreas’s enthusiasm and attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable and well-organized tour! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rostock is a hidden gem. Such a pleasure to have been to a relatively quiet town, after Amsterdam & London. Our tour guide (Bernd?) was just terrific with his deep knowledge of regional history. Highly recommend.
Daniel was an excellent guide and had great historical references to educate us. I will say it was a lot more walking than I anticipated so must be someone who does not easily. But the overall content the ease of the train ride and both cities were wonderful.
Had an amazing guided tour by someone who knows the history of the places he took us too. Martin was knowledgeable and funny in exactly the right way. Thanks for everyone. Well worth the money.
Andres was very knowledgeable and patient. He spoke English very well. We had no trouble keeping up with him in his walking or words. He was very prepared, with maps and pictures. His life experiences with East and West Germany really added to the tour.
A thoroughly enjoyable & informative experience, livened considerably by our friendly tour guide, Yvonne.
Brilliant guide with good English. Terrific knowledge of the city and Germany in general. Political knowledge.
Excellent small group tour (group of five) of Rostock with a local guide every step of the way for 4-5 hours. Met on time at the cruise building and was the same price as the cruise line tour; but theirs was a bus group of thirty, so this was much a better value and experience. Great guide : a retired professor at Rostock University . Highly recommend.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, gave us a great tour! It was a rainy day and we still had a good time.
Great way to get the whole history of Warnemünde and Rostock. Our guide,Bernard, was very knowledgeable and we loved the small group (5 total!). The best part was St Mary’s church!!
Our multi-generational family of 6 enjoyed a beautiful day and excellent tour with Andreas timed perfectly with our stop in Warnemunde during a cruise. We were met by Andreas right outside the ship. We walked through the quaint town of Warnemunde - filled with historic cottages and flowers to the lighthouse and beach. Then we took a short train ride to Rostock and saw the square, courthouse, and university. We took the tram and then train back to Warnemunde with time to spare for lunch and shopping. Andreas was an amazing guide and we learned about living in East Germany before 1989 - which we weren't expecting!
Excellent guide. Spoke perfect English. Very knowledgeable and informative. Highly recommend this tour.
Great tour to learn more specifically about life in both Wandermunde and Rostock. Yvonne, our guide shared so much cultural knowledge with us regarding everything we saw. Walking through the streets of Wandermunde, to navigating the train to Rostock (very easy), to the top sites in Rostock - we saw it all!
Without this tour I never would have learned about the St. Mary”s anatomical clock of 1472 which captivated me. I thought, “oh great a visit to a church.” But boy was I wrong - I was fascinated with the architecture and beauty and then I saw the clock and wanted to learn everything about this marvel of time!
While the tour does require much walking it was usually quite easy and the guide met us just off the ship and departed at the Wandermunde train station so we could explore the village at the end. Here there is a ton of shopping and delicious dining - a very beautiful port!
Excellent guide great tour. Took train conveniently located. Tour comprehensive and guide covered East German vs west German history and culture differences.
Very well run tour - the walking parts nicely synchronized with the public transportation. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you!
