Overview
Ride through the Jamaican countryside on an all-terrain vehicle to see how the locals live on this half-day safari. Riding ATVs will give access to the rugged parts of the country that typical tourist vehicles can’t reach; mountains, agricultural fields, and a natural mineral pool where you can cool off. Head into Jamaica’s countryside on this ATV rasta safari, where your guide will take you to places you wouldn’t be able to access on your own.
This is a group tour, so you might make a few new friends while you explore the Jamaican country life, too.
Your tour starts with convenient hotel pickup and a welcome drink, and then you’ll be taken to your 2-person ATVs. You’ll drive through the mountains, past rivers, and have the chance to swim in a natural mineral pool.
Along the way your guide will provide you with some exotic fruits to sample, plus bottled water and lunch.

This experience was AMAZING! My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with the service, hospitality, and kindness of everyone we came across. Our driver Jenieve set up the ambience by playing upbeat Jamaican music the whole time and led us to the beginning of our excursion, where we met Bobby who provided us a delicious cocktail and were led by Ella - who took some very cute pictures of us - to the main event. Then we met Nick and Shevon who were simply fabulous the entire time. They made my husband feel comfortable with understanding the vehicle and did a great job of guiding him while I relaxed and enjoyed the views. They brought us to a beautiful river in a quaint part of town where we were offered the opportunity to do some diving and swimming. There we got some snacks and beverages, mingled with the other visitors, and purchased a beautiful dress that the employee threw in a free bracelet with! We also got to try some samples of different concoctions and see the wildlife as well as the plant life of Jamaica. Then we had the most scrumptious vegan meal I’ve EVER had in my entire life and finally got to go back to the resort. Overall this was a wonderful time that we would absolutely recommend to anyone who comes to Westmoreland. Thank you to RastaSafari for providing us with such a fun first excursion during our time here!

This was one of the most authentic experiences I’ve ever had and definitely lthe best experience we had in Jamaica.
Everything felt genuine and authentic. It truly felt like we were being welcomed into a local community with great respect.
Our guides were outstanding: friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. They explained Rastafarian culture, local traditions, farming, and everyday life while giving us plenty of time to explore at our own pace.
Driving the ATVs through the countryside was a lot of fun and a big part of the experience. One of the highlights was stopping at the local river, where members of the community were also enjoying their day. It felt completely natural and authentic, not like a tourist attraction.
The homemade vegan lunch at the end was another highlight. It was fresh, delicious, and one of the best meals we had during our entire trip to Jamaica.
My entire family loved it—my wife, my two kids (15 and 19), and I all agreed that this was the best experience of our trip. If you’re looking to understand the real Jamaica beyond the resorts and beaches, this tour is an absolute must.

Our RastaSafari ATV tour was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip to Jamaica! From the moment we arrived Carlos and our tour guides Gilbert, Kenna made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having an amazing time.
This wasn't just an ATV ride—it was the full Jamaican experience. We got to explore beautiful scenery, learn about the local culture, and even meet a talented local artist known as the WoodPecker and purchased a hand carved wooden piece and even engraved our names right on the spot which made the experience even more special and authentic. The guides' energy, humor, and genuine passion made the tour unforgettable.
If you're visiting Jamaica, I can't recommend RastaSafari enough. Thank you, Gilbert, Kenna, Carlos, the Wood Pecker and the entire staff for making this such a memorable adventure. We can't wait to come back!

Such a fun experience! We were with Andre and Calloway. Loved visiting the town, meeting locals and purchasing from the woodpecker. Our vegan lunch was great too. I’d suggest wearing water shoes instead of tennis shoes.

It’s not a crazy ATV tour, if you’re not interested in culture, don’t do this. I was hesitant at first, but this tour was great. The people were very well organized. Gilbert was informative. I wish I remembered everyone else’s name. The food at the end was amazing (and I am not vegan/vegetarian).

We loved it me and my husband enjoyed everything about it the people were so welcoming and got to enjoy some authentic Jamaican things 10/10 we will definitely be back our driver was so friendly after the activity we purchased food in the community and it was delicious we also loved the meal that came with the excursion I didn’t think I would like it but I did and getting to swim and just be around locals it was very beautiful

You absolutely need to book this experience! My wife and I are honeymooning in Jamaica and wanted to do something that would be fun and also show us the real Jamaica. This tour is a 10/10. Our driver, Owen, picked us up right on time and basically gave us a tour before the tour! When we got there, we were greeted by Bobby, and Freddy brought us out some drinks to try before a short trek up to the ATV start point. From then on, we stayed with our guides, Daniel and Ali, as they showed us around their community, Roaring River. Seriously cannot say enough good things about this tour. We stopped to jump in the river with some locals, grabbed some jerk chicken, and were treated to an amazing lunch after our last stop on the tour. Book the tour, you won’t regret it!

This was an amazing experience. Locals were very friendly. Gilbert, Carlos and Carl Wayne were so knowledgeable and accommodating. Support the local business like the Woodpeckers shop. You won’t be disappointed. Would definitely come back!

This was a great experience! Our tour guides Keneil (sp?) and Gilbert were fantastic. From the guided ATV tour to swimming in mineral springs to the farm tour followed by a delicious lunch, it was well worth leaving the resort and seeing what this beautiful country is all about. Highly recommend.

Cannot rave enough about Rastasafari from Owen our driver to our guides Carlos, Daniel and Baga aka Tommy who were all great. A fun and informative day learned a lot about the country and the area, as well as local plants. And massive thanks to the people we met and who provided lunch. Brilliant day out. Highly recommend

An absolute must do. Great way to see this beautiful country and the amazing folks that live here. Andre and Sevon were amazing and the tour allowed us the chance to spend some time at sports day with the early childhood school. Views were incredible, food was delicious, swimming in the crystal clear river was a core memory. I cannot recommend this tour enough- my girls learned so much about the Jamaican culture today and we were welcomed with love and happiness. A must do and we will be back to do it again!

We loved our experience on the RastaSafari. Our guides, Tasha, Gilbert, and Skello were amazing and full of knowledge about the Roaring River land, agriculture, and community.
The offroading was fun and took us around over 300 acres of gorgeous landscape, surrounded by hills and a pristine river. We made a handful of stops along the way at a local bar, artisan shop, ganja farm, and had a swim in the nearby water - cold but so refreshing towards the end of our ride.
The tour concluded with a delicious vegan meal. We feel honored to have had the opportunity go on the RastaSafari.

What an immerse voyage into Rastafarian culture! Our two guides, Ali and Skello provided an outstanding tour and explanation of Rastafarian culture and their beliefs on the ecology. We got to see the Westmoreland River up close and personal along with a ganja farm! Best of all, we got to drive ourselves in the ATV!

You really see the true Jamaican culture as you’re traveling to the site. Owen the driver was more of a tour guide, he was exceptional and would give great detail on certain things when we passed through it. He also took us to seven mile beach and ricks cafe on the ride back to the resort! I would definitely recommend and I would do it again once coming back

This is an amazing tour! Wonderful guides, great way to experience community life in Jamaica. Only drawback to the trip was the minivan had an extremely uncomfortable back seat which made the ride to and from the excursion hard to take. We had a fantastic time and lots lots of good memories of the tour itself and the wonderful people.

This was a wonderful day in real life Jamaica. It is amazing and always awesome at what nature can do in such a short time. Seeing the devastation and then already regrowing. And the fun, loving, strong Jamaicans working their way back!

My husband, son and I really enjoyed our experience. Jenieve picked us up on time. She was friendly and answered any questions we had. We were greeted upon arrival with welcome shots and given information about various plants and fruits and their medicinal purposes. Our guides, Daniel and Keneil, were wonderful. They took time to educate us on the island and various customs. The locals were welcoming and friendly. We never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. If we didn’t want to buy anything we just said no thank you and moved on. The vegetarian lunch was great and so was our ride back to the hotel.

It was amazing! The land, the people, the culture the history, everything! Remember to bring durable shoes to walk around in and possibly a light raincoat or parka incase it rains. Daniel and Kriss were absolutely fantastic! Make sure to ask for them when you do the tour!
