Parking may be limited and traffic heavy. We recommend using public transport or arriving early. Please present yourself 30 minutes before the departure in front of the Croisieres AML ticket office on the dock; to pick up your physical ticket (required for boarding). Boats leave on time.

Start your trip from the city’s riverfront in either the morning or afternoon. Then cast off for your river ride, journeying 22 miles (35 kilometers) along the river near Montreal. During your cruise, pass famous city sights including the islands of Boucherville, Jacques-Cartier Bridge, the Biosphere, the Olympic Park, and the city’s picturesque shoreline.
Make sure to also take advantage of all that your ship, the AML Cavalier Maxim, has to offer during your voyage. Enjoy some sunbathing on the ship’s al fresco terraces, or step inside if you need to warm up in the glass-enclosed dining area. An array of food and drinks is available for purchase at the on-board café.
At the end of your ride, return to the pier, having gained a new perspective on the city of Montreal.

I enjoyed the views of the Clock Tower, the Biosphere, La Ronde Park., La Rue de Montreal.
And also learn a thing or two about the city with the great guide we had.

It was a nice boat but the scenery was a little to be desired. The narration was not in English. The staff works hard but I wouldn't recommend. Also, the parking garage next to the pier is unorganized, a complete nightmare getting out of the garage. It took us 2 hours. Garage had no staff on hand to guide guides. Volunteers were doing their best to get everyone out. I contacted the emergency help button at the check out kiosk and he didn't care and said we are short staffed. The whole area was so busy and there was no police presence to guide pedestrians. I would not do this tour again or recommend it. That area can do better to keep tourist safe.

Very nice sightseeing cruise. Downsides were that it was loud and difficult to hear the tour guide and narration. The English wasn’t as prominent as the French. But still nice way to spend 90 minutes and relax on our busy travel day.

The boat itself was fine as well as the excursion. The waitress forgot about us. I went down into the interior section to find a server and told them they haven’t come to our table. She forgot about us. Another waitress came back with only 15 minutes left on the excursion (claimed she didn’t forget about our table). Staff should be more attentive.

No scenery. Half the cruise is container ships
If it was narrated you couldn't hear anything if you were inside.
Been on many sightseeing cruises. This one is not good!

The 4pm Happy Hour tour has NO historical guide. It is simply a boat ride with food & drink. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

It was a great afternoon on the water and the tour guide was very informative however due to the nature of Montreal’s waterfront there is not a lot of scenery. The shipping docks take up a lot of room on the Montréal side and very little scenery on the other. We sat outside with waiter service and had lunch and drinks which made for a relaxing afternoon.

Nice views of Montreal and surrounding areas. Friendly staff. The trip itself is meh, but I suspect there is not much to see along this stretch of the St. Lawrence. An easy river jaunt.

Indoor and outdoor seating is great to have the options. Bring sunscreen and hat if it sunny and if it is a cool day you will definitely need a jacket if you plan to sit outside. You have great views of the city and surroundings. The tour guide was great and made the tour fun.

Nice boat, relaxing, refreshments reasonably priced. Commentary was hard to understand at times. Overall a nice way to spend an afternoon in Montreal.

The sound system is the best I have heard in open waterway. The young man was really good and animated in sharing the history. One should be prepared for cold and wind to enjoy it. Many were not. The food was okay. The pitcher of sangria was overpriced especially for just being okay. There were a lot of staff and they were nice and helpful. We were an elderly couple.

Viator should give more information about whether or not travellers were able to buy brunch on the 11:30 am boat ride. We didn't know and had brunch elsewhere.

I was not pleased with the communication as it relates to directing us to the boat cruise. No clear directions and when I called the telephone I was placed on hold and the call was disconnected. We walked along the Port and could not get clear directions. The cruise was not eventful and not long enough.
