After meeting your knowledgeable guide in front of the Duomo, Milan's immense and extravagant Gothic cathedral, learn about the history of the church, taking some time to study the facade of the sacred structure, including the statues and wicked gargoyles.
Head toward the entrance to the cathedral, going right past that long line and entering the building, thanks to the skip-the-line ticket. Stroll through the interior with your guide, learning about the overlooked nooks and corners of the building and hearing about some of the incredible artwork that's inside. Admire the 50 incredible stained glass windows, as well as the sculptures and paintings.
After, come up to ground level again and exit the church. If you've chosen this tour on the weekend, take some free time to see more of Milan on your own or tuck into a nice meal at a local restaurant. Or, if you've taken this on a weekday, commence the rooftop tour immediately.
Go back inside the cathedral with your skip-the-line ticket and then ride in the lift up to the Duomo's terrace
Once on the rooftop, take in the amazing views of the city, getting close-up sights of the statues, spires, and gargoyles. Take a moment to listen to your guide regale you with more history of the cathedral.
After spending some time up on the roof and admiring the views, head back down to ground level, as your tour is finished.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.
- It is FORBIDDEN to introduce inside Duomo food, liquids, knifes, ceramic mugs and everything that can be used as blunt weapon.
- Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour
- On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.
- If you selected the Open Bus Ticket, please show your voucher at the bus stop in Piazza Duomo, in front of the taxi stand. Look for the MILAN OPEN TOUR bus.
- The Spanish Tour Option is available from April 1st to October 31st at 10:00am

Tour lasted about 2 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was quite funny as well keeping everyone on their toes.
She told us some very interesting stories about statues, etc. inside the church.
The rooftop portion was very interesting and some of the views were fantastic. There are a lot of statues, heads, gargoyles etc. up there as well.

We enjoyed our tour of the Duomo with our guide Elena. She had a wealth of knowledge to share with us. We especially enjoyed the rooftop tour. We were amazed how high we actually climbed and were awed by the views. Elena did a great job organizing the tour and navigating the amount of people o the roof and inside the church. Valentina was a tremendous tour guide. Shared so much history of the Cathedral, she is so knowledgeable. Easy ascent due to elevator, only 90 steps to reach the upper roof level. Truly amazing tour and tour guide!

Excellent guide. It is a must see and the skip the line is the only way to go. Women need their shoulders covered and not tank tops allowed. Would have liked to see the crypt but hadn’t purchased it prior. Tour is long and i do think it could have been a little shorter

We did the skip the line rooftop tour of the Duomo and was well worth doing a private guide for the money. We had plenty of time inside the duomo, and then went to the top which was so incredible to see. My parents are in their mid 70’s and very active, but my mom has trouble walking long distances so I was worried about that but it was ok. There are 90 steps you still do have to walk up even with this tour, and steps going back down that are a bit claustrophobic - to be expected if you’ve done any cathedrals or the like. Wonderful tour guide and so glad we did it!
