This was a beautiful experience. Captain Sabri and his partner welcomed us kindly on the felucca. They made conversation and kept us company, but also provided us with space and time for ourselves. We were provided with karkare (hibisucs tea) as per the package.
We would definitely recommend them to our friends.
Nile on a felucca on a pleasant day - a must-do. Please note the Nile waters In Luxor are way more dreamier than in Cairo.

This was a private tour but guide brought his “ friend” along. He said the friend can talk to me. After sunset, he decided to drop off this friend to his hotel from the boat and then continue the tour. This added 30-45 more minutes to get to shore and back again to sail so he could end the tour.
Then he had the audacity to ask me if he can pick up his friend from his hotel in car before dropping me off.
I thought this was a private tour I paid for but he seemed to be working for his friend.

We are sorry you felt disappointed, but your review does not accurately reflect what happened during the tour.
The person you mentioned was not a random “friend” joining your experience. He was known to the guide and was only briefly present during part of the sailing, without affecting the private nature of your tour or interfering with your experience.
As for the short stop, it was made out of courtesy and safety while already on the route, not at the expense of your tour. The guide still completed the experience professionally and ensured you were returned safely.
We always respect our guests and work hard to provide enjoyable experiences to everyone. However, describing the guide as “working for his friend” is unfair and misleading.
We appreciate all feedback, but we also believe reviews should present the situation fairly and accurately.

It was a nice boat ride. The captain - Jack Sparrow was friendly and welcomed us with local tea. The sunset time is a must where you see the beautiful scenery of the Nile.

We did the private felucca with Abdulla. He was extremely helpful and nice with us. He helped us plan our next day in Luxor and organize rides and visits for us. I recommend the activity and this guide!

Everything went smoothly—the communication was easy, and the felucca captain was fantastic. The ride itself was enjoyable and well worth the experience.
However, the price (€23) is highly overpriced. If you just walk around Aswan, you’ll find the exact same felucca ride for €5, and everyone offers it. Booking online is not recommended—save your money and negotiate in person

We had a wonderful experience on the Johnny Depp: Black Pearl Felucca Ride in Luxor. The ride itself was peaceful and scenic, and we were offered hibiscus tea, which was lovely.
We enjoyed learning about the Nile and the surrounding history while sailing. The atmosphere was relaxing and gave us a beautiful perspective of Luxor from the water.
We especially appreciated Mahmoud, our driver. He was reliable, professional, and so helpful that we ended up using his services for additional transportation during our stay in Luxor. That made everything much easier for us.

It was amazing and surreal experience. Our transfer was very easy and Aladdin was great guide who picked us up and guide through out. I booked this last minute, but I trusted the reviews. Was absolutely fabulous. On time pick up with communication beforehand. We timed it just right for the sunset. They were so friendly and took plenty of pictures! Offered hibiscus tea as well. I would book again the next time I am in Luxor.

We did the sunset walk and it was spectacular. The boat was spotless and Captain Abdullah is a top professional; he knows the river perfectly and is very respectful. If you are looking for an authentic and stress-free experience in Luxor, look for it. You won't regret it!
