El Yunque Rainforest is Puerto Rico’s largest nature reserve and as difficult to explore independently as any other tropical rainforest. Drive yourself to meet your guide in Fajardo and then follow your guide's vehicle into the rainforest. Discover it with a guide on this fun forest hike to two different waterfalls, one with a rope swing and free diving, the second with a natural rock waterslide and a cliff jump. Learn about the rainforest’s history, wildlife and trees as you hike.

Meet us at Yagrumo Restobar in Fajardo. Important: You must drive your rented/owned vehicle from the meeting point to the Rainforest. Uber and taxis are not allowed. Transportation is not provided at any point. Use GOOGLE MAPS in order to reach the correct location.

Drive yourself to meet your guide and fellow travelers at a central meeting point in Fajardo and caravan out together to the eastern side of El Yunque Rainforest. Once you arrive, you'll hike for roughly 20 to 30 minutes to a swimming hole, learning about the rainforest’s history along the way.
You are required to supply your own transportation for this tour.
Once you reach the swimming hole, spend some time swimming, jumping into the water, or trying out a rope swing. Later, continue to another swimming hole, located an additional 15-minute hike into the rainforest. Here you can zip down a natural rock slide or jump off a cliff and into a refreshing river before returning to San Juan.
You are required to supply your own transportation for this tour.

- It’s a requirement to have an owned/rented vehicle in order to participate as this tour doesn’t provide transportation at any point. Uber/taxis aren’t allowed as the meeting point is not the final destination.
- Safety is our priority, in order for you to enjoy the experience to its fullest we may have to slightly forward or delay your start time after reservations are made, to avoid heavy flow of people and betterment of the experience. The notification will be sent by email the evening prior the tour.
- Good physical condition required • Participants must be able to hike more than 35 minutes
- Participants with; Walking limitations, Overweight Issues, Permanent Injuries, Recent surgeries or not physically fit are NOT recommended as a good physical condition is required to complete this experience.
- If you’re in a group but booked separately, in order to assign the same guide/group we need to be notified with more than 24 hours prior the tour as once assigned to a group, changes the same day of the tour will not be made.
- Pictures AREN’T part of this experience, if you’d like to bring your phone with you keep in mind you should have a waterproof pouch in order to protect it as it can get damaged during the excursion. Some guides will take pictures which they will share after the tour is done. It’s not their obligation to send this pictures to you after you’ve parted ways.
- OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- We recommend shoes that you won't mind getting wet and muddy, that have a good grip and thick sole. Sneakers, water shoes or hiking sandals that cover your toes are the best option. Be mindful that sandals, flip flops, croces or slides are not allowed as it can be dangerous once wet or muddy.
- Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions • Minimum age is 5 years • Max age to participate is 59 years
- Pregnant participants CAN'T participate. To keep him/her safe we don't allow expecting mommas on this tour as the terrain is uneven and slippery (muddy), therefore making it dangerous for you and your little one(s).

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Viktor, in the rainforest of Puerto Rico! From start to finish, everything was well organized, safe, and so much fun. Viktor took us to several incredible water spots—natural pools, waterfalls, and hidden areas we never would have found on our own.
What really stood out was how knowledgeable, patient, and friendly he was. He shared interesting facts about the rainforest, made sure everyone felt comfortable, and kept the energy positive the entire time. You can tell he truly cares about giving people a great experience.
The water activities were the highlight—beautiful, refreshing, and the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. From sliding down rocks to swimming in crystal-clear pools, every moment felt special.
What meant the most to me personally was Viktor going out of his way to return a camera I accidentally left in the pocket of a life vest. That level of honesty and kindness really says a lot about his character and made the experience even more memorable.
I highly recommend booking with Viktor if you’re visiting Puerto Rico. This was easily one of the best parts of our trip, and we would absolutely do it again!

I hate to be that guy i never leave reviews but the experience with this app/website has just been awful. Horrible customer service and when you try to get in touch with anyone nobody answers. I received the wrong address and when I called there was nothing they could do about it. So I rebooked again and lost my money no big deal. I get to the meet up place for my second reservation and get told that it was canceled due to rain after already driving 2 and a half hours over here. And now customer service can’t do anything about this too. My advice is book somewhere else these people are jokes.

What you described sounds like an issue with the booking platform/app rather than the actual tour operation. Unfortunately, we don’t control their customer service, system updates, or how/when they notify guests about changes like weather cancellations. That said, we never want anyone to feel stuck or unsupported. Rain in El Yunque National Forest can force last-minute cancellations for safety reasons, but you absolutely should have been properly notified ahead of time.

Super fun! Definitely recommend. Nice easy hike to the swimming hole. A bit more challenging when hiking up to water slides but totally doable. Our 2 guides, Viktor and Mitchell, were fun and easygoing. Recommend wearing a sun shirt if you’re prone to sunburn because sunscreen is not permitted in el Yunque.

This is so much fun! I loved Anthony and Steven! They were amazing taking care of us and making sure we knew what to do. They both also took care of my son who is 9 years old with the trek and even helping him to jump in the water. 100% recommend!

Tour was amazing if your looking to do the fun stuff with minimal hiking. There was a lot of rock climbing so def wear good shoes. Sandals are not it! We toured with Anthony and Joel who were amazing. They made sure we were safe and encouraged us to do all the adventures!

This trip was amazing. Anthony not only made sure we had fun but that we were safe and that we learned about the amazing culture in Puerto Rico. This was an absolute 5 star from beginning to end. Meet up was simple, check in was great, short drive to the meeting point, and the hike was definitely doable, I had my 6 year old and 9 year old with us. My mom was also with us and she do half of the hike and was able to relax in the water while we continued up to the slide. Anthony was patient, informative, and a blast to be around.

This is an incredible adventure through the Puerto Rican rainforest. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and are very conscious of everyone’s safety. When they say you will get muddy, believe them! We all wore water shoes. Definitely recommend doing this tour. It’s like getting taken to the local spot with locals. We had a 7 & 9 year old with us and they did just fine.

Great experience. Very organized. Anthony did a great job of communicating and keeping everyone safe while still keeping things light and fun. My kids would have gone and done it again the very next day. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy and it was still great. The guides said that midweek is less busy typically.

Absolutely the best part of our trip!!! Amazing guides that made us feel so safe and taken care of throughout the tour. They also take all the pictures and videos for you! You really don’t need to bring more than a water bottle and sunglasses. Would recommend water shoes with a sole, your shoes will get wet and muddy! Also recommend wearing sunscreen or coverage, most of the tour we were in the sun and I’m glad I wore long sleeves. The hike is not too labor intensive but it does have places where you need to be a little flexible (the guides will help you through these parts). Overall incredible experience!

Great day out, good value, very clean, not too busy. You need to be reasonably fit. You are going on short but challenging track through muddy and steep terrain.
You need decent footwear that can get completely wet and muddy.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide Jesus "best guide on the mountain", he's was very knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. Things you'll want to have are a vehicle with some ground clearance and nice water shoes. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our first time visiting PR and the rainforest, so didn't know what to expect. My 11 and 9 year old kids couldn't stop saying how much they loved the climbing because it was "parkour" style. We were a lucky group to have 2 excellent guides who were able to help people physically in certain portions (unlike other groups who would get separated or needed help from our guides because theirs went too far ahead). Anthony & Steven were entertaining, informative, and FUN. Scary climbs or slides, they made everyone feel safe and confident trying something new.

Family tour with a 5 and 8 year old and they had a blast. The tour guides were so good with the kids and a big help on some steep rocks not to mention did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and be safe with great cultural facts. Recommend this as we had the best time and my kids favourite day in Puerto Rico. The 4 hr hike is just right for learning, fun and a great adventure. Watershoes recommended.

We couldn't do the waterfall slide, but overtake the tour was everything it said it was. They were communicative and on time. However do know its very commercialized, long wait lines for the activity & if you know swimming or have a life jacket, I'm not sure if you need to pay so much.

Hands down one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. The guides (Orlando and Steve) lead with passion and knowledge, humor and support. I went with a group of 8 teens, a child and another mom. We all left agreeing that it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend!!!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was perfect start to finish. I went with my 7 year old son and he had a blast. The tour guides were extremely helpful and supportive. The meeting location was easy to find and they made sure we were prepared for our tour. The rope swing, water slide and cliff jump were amazing experiences. This hike requires physical fitness and being able to climb up rocks make sure you are physically capable before booking.

Anthony and Steven were excellent guides, attentive to the whole group while keeping the energy fun throughout. That said, here’s my thoughts on the trip as a parent of two young participants (ages 6 and 8)
Footwear: You’ll spend significant time in the water and scrambling over wet rocks. Our family did fine in water shoes and Tevas with heel straps, but flip flops won’t cut it.
Chemicals: Sunscreen and bug spray are not needed. Under cover of the canopy the whole time and not a single mosquito.
Safety gear: Life jackets are mandatory for kids and optional for adults. I went in a little overconfident and skipped one, which I regretted by the time we hit the water slide and cliff jumping sections. If you have any hesitation about your swimming ability, just take the jacket.
Note, we observed that other tour operators in El Yunque provide helmets; this one does not. Our kids managed fine, but in future, I would only do this again with helmets for the family.
Know what you’re signing up for: The water slide is legitimately intense, thrilling for older kids and adults, but worth mentally preparing for with a young child. The final activity is a rope swing over water. We opted out of that one, and there was no pressure to participate.
Overall a memorable experience with very capable guides. Anthony and Steven were great with our kids.

Great experience and guides Jesus and Joel were fantastic. This trip is for the adventurous and athletic. Where good shoes that will get wet, lots of rock climbing. Don’t plan to bring a backpack either you and if you want to take your own phone for photos bring a waterproof case.

Don’t miss this one! Not your everyday walk thru the park. The natural water slides, cliff jumps, and rope swings were a massive hit with the kids and adults alike. If possible, request Anthony as your tour guide. You won’t be disappointed! !

Staff was friendly wish we could’ve experienced the rainforest. Tour was canceled due to weather and refunds weren’t issued & rescheduling wasn’t an option vocalized to us.
