We attended the private tour today with our guide Kai, and had an excellent experience. Kai was wonderful, personable, friendly and very attentive to our family’s needs. This was important since we had a child with us. Kai was also able to customise the tour to suit us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Kai was very passionate and knowledgeable about the terracotta warriors and Xian’s history. For this attraction, we would definitely recommend a private tour. Having a dedicated guide and the flexibility to customise the experience made a big difference. Highly recommended!

I visited the terracotta soldiers with my husband. My guide Andy was great! He had so many great suggestions and took nice photos for us. He also allowed us to choose if we wanted to extend our tour or book discounted options through him. Very useful because we did a day trip in Xian. We also ate lunch with his family in the Xian village. This was a very good tour. We really enjoyed it and Andy is so welcoming. I'm happy to support his business. He's an honest and kind guide and also extremely knowledgeable. I could tell he's definitely an expert!! He's also originally from Xian. Perfect! Thanks again Andy. 😊

Wendy was exceptional from start to finish: brilliant English, outstanding knowledge, and the sort of command of Xi’an’s history that makes the whole day come alive. At the Terracotta Warriors, she knew the material inside out, flicking through the guidebook and explaining the detail almost from memory. The tour itself was flexible and very well judged. We covered the Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Calligraphy Street and the City Wall, and Wendy adapted everything smoothly when our plans had to change at short notice. Nothing felt rushed or generic. She also understood exactly the kind of local experience we were after. The roadside lunch stop was authentic, delicious and one of the best food moments of the day. John was an excellent driver as well: comfortable car, smooth driving and a great fit with Wendy. Wendy is the kind of guide you would happily book again without hesitation. In fact, I’d take her with us on any trip around Xi’an. If she is available for your dates, book her. You will be very hard pressed to find anyone better.

Celine was amazing! Great communication, easy pick up, and very accomodating when I wanted to be dropped off at a different location on the way back. Also, Celine is very knowledgeable about the Terracotta Army and helped our group avoid the crowds and find the best photo spots. Would definitely recommend!

It was a really great tour led by Celine. The weather wasn't good as it rained the whole day, but Celine was the sunshine that made the tour so smooth that surprisingly it wasn't stressful at all. She bought umbrellas and ponchos for everyone who needed them, so sweet of her. She's also super knowledgeable of the local history of Xi'An, I was enlightened by the connection of Journey to the West and the Pagoda.

Our tour guide Betty and driver Mr Li ensured we had a fantastic day. They were on time and the van was luxurious. We appreciated Betty giving us so much invaluable information not just about the history of Xi’an and the warriors but of Chinese history in general. Betty guided us through the busy exhibition seamlessly while giving commentary along the way through earpieces, pointing out the good viewing spots. We ended with a delicious lunch of Xian delicacies and tea. Thanks Betty and Mr Li we hope to see you again for more Xian exploring!

We had a great day visiting the Terracotta Warriors and then the Wild Goose Pagoda. There were other options on the tour but we had already visited the wall and the towers as our hotel was close to them. Linda was an excellent guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and helped us get the best out of our visit. She took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch and as I’m vegan helped me to select a suitable meal which was delicious. The restaurant also had a tea house and we tried different teas. The Terracotta Warriors are well worth a visit. It’s such an interesting place and the excavations are ongoing. The history of the pagoda is also really fascinating. We climbed to the top and could see all around the city. I would highly recommend this tour with Linda as she was so friendly and helpful and pointed out other places of interest in Xi’an along the way. Communication was great. Our driver was also very professional and we felt safe. Water and fresh apricots were provided in the car. We enjoyed the day very much.
