Great tour to Godafoss
Great tour to Godafoss. The charter bus was spacious, clean, and comfortable— It even had a bathroom. The tour guide was very friendly and entertaining. The tour itself was very timely. While the tour provides enough time to enjoy the waterfall, I wish we had even more time.

Excellent trip to Godafoss Waterfall!
Really well organised.
Found the provider (Saga Travel) straight away after getting off the ship. Got taken to the bus.
Guide (Michael) was brilliant. Told you lots of info. Godafoss Waterfall was definitely worth the visit and the drink and Icelandic treat were lovely! Bus driver gave you option of dropping you off at 3 different locations on the return journey which was great. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.

Wonderful Day Trip from Akureyri.
Interesting and relaxing, the Forest Lagoon Baths were a highlight of our trip! Michael was an excellent guide who was able to miss the crowds at Godafoss Waterfall and was full of interesting facts/information about Icelandic history, culture and way of life. The Waterfall was beautiful, and even better that we had the place to ourselves! Forest Lagoon baths is gorgeous, steamy and relaxing; and truly was the best experience even when it started to rain, the waters were the perfect temperature. Highly recommended tour and even nicer when Saga picked us up and delivered us back to port.

Perfect and surreal
One of the most peaceful experiences of my trip. Soaking in warm water while surrounded by the Icelandic landscape was magical. The atmosphere was relaxing, the facilities were beautiful, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. If it starts to snow while youre there you'll feel more at peace!

Thanks Imagine Iceland Tours!
Our driver was funny and very personable and gave a great overview of the area. The tour was excellent value for money (May 2026 - we paid approx. $70 USD) vs. booking with cruise line. Note that the restaurant at Godafoss is charging 200 ISK (May 2026) to use the restrooms.

Geology class on a bus!
Our guide Jon was funny and kind. He kept us entertained with stories and his knowledge of Iceland’s Geology. The views were amazing and the baths were relaxing - especially since they were our last stop! Slept great that night.
Sit as close to the front of the small bus as you can… the views were somewhat obstructed from the back two rows.

An insightful and amazing experience
It was an amazing tour, Iceland as you would expect it! Our guide was fantastic, she talked about many things, also the life in Iceland, and stopped for example when we saw sheepherding and explained how they get the sheep together. I learned a lot about many different things!

A really fun day trip,...
A really fun day trip, offering history, storytelling and geology all in one! You'll get to learn about volcanoes and lava formations in Iceland. Overall the itinerary is perfect opportunity to learn about how Iceland was formed, and its impact it had on the culture.

Would do!!
First you board a bus to the location of the whale watching boats. You are fitted with a full wind suit and the. Aboard the boat in a lake where the whales come in and out. It is not in open seas so the water is very calm. Did get to see some whales. Hot chocolate was a warm treat.

Great Tour with fantastic hosts.
It was a bit hard to find the bus, better signage would be helpful. Once we were on the tour the driver and guide were very personable and knowledgeable about the area. They were super excited to shate their wonderful country with us. The tour went on schedule with plenty of time for pictures and some exploration.

Vic is great, I learned a lot about Iceland from the local perspective and I loved her personality and youth. Our bus was like new and very high end with large windows, plenty of overhead space, bathroom, etc. I liked the schedule (not too long): see the waterfall, two hours at the bath then a quick stop at Lake Myvatn. There were 3 ships at Akureyri on the day we visited, so you never break away from all the people, but we still loved the experience. They give you the sandwich and bottle of water after the bath and before Lake Myvatn, if you read previous reviews and wondered. Also, there is a cute cafe at the baths if you finish early and want something more, but we spent the entire two hours soaking.

Honest review: completely amazing
Honest review: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We went on July 6 2025 at 9am. I went whale watching in Canada and Australia but this tour was far beyond better than anywhere else. The on board marine scientist was so sweet and knowleadgable. The captain was really good at managing the boat and we were always at the right spot a the good Time to see whales compared to other boats. We saw at least 10 whales and Even dolphins! I would recommend this tour early in the morning and in the summer months! We also saw many puffins on the water so I wouldn’t recommend the tour whale + puffin since we see so many of them on the water anyways.
