Mini Gobi desert and camel ride
We enjoyed this tour very much. The guide provided a good introduction to information about Mongolia. The drive was long but we had two very nice bathroom stops when needed. Snacks were also provided along the way. The people operating the camel ride were very helpful, helping us to mount and dismount, leading us on the ride, and taking many pictures and a couple of videos of our experience. The guide and driver also took our pictures and were a lot of fun. The tour guide also provided a traditional Mongolian lunch in a ger. On the way back to the hotel we played a traditional Mongolian game which completed our experience. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

This tour starts with Soy...
This tour starts with Soy Bee greeting you at your hotel wearing traditional Mongolian clothing. We then went to Soy Bee's ger just on the outskirts of Ulaanbatar. Don't eat breakfast before this tour! We were presented with a huge breakfast of traditional Mongolian dairy products and breads and milk tea. Soy Bee doesn't just just show you how to cook traditional Mongolian food he also talks about Mongolian culture and food. Soy Bee is so passionate about his heritage, my husband and I learned so much about Mongolia . We learned to make traditional dumplings with sheep heart and tail fat. I admit I was a little nervous about eating sheep heart but the dumplings were absolutely delicious, they were better than any we had in restaurants. We also made a delicious soup with noodles and boiled mutton. We then learned how to play a traditional game using sheep bones. This cooking class was an incredible afternoon of great food, Mongolian hospitality and culture. I may not make the dishes we learned how to cook but I now have a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Mongolian culture and food.

Can’t miss this tour
Byambaa (aka Brian) was excellent.
His deep knowledge of the Tibetan Buddhist faith gave us an insight into the philosohy that allowed us to apreciate the temples more than we expected.
He was attentive to all our needs and limitations which made for a very enjoyable tour.
If we ever have the proviledge of returning to UBN, we will seek him out.

Solo Trip Turned Into an Unforgettable Mongolian Adventure!
The trip was amazing — both educational and fun! I learned so much about the history of Mongolia during the time of Chingis Khaan. Mongolia has such a rich and impressive history, and our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. He was also very fun and entertaining throughout the tour.
I booked this tour solo and ended up sharing it with three other solo travelers, which made the experience even better. Our group later combined with another group from the same company, and their tour guide was hilarious and also a great photographer! They really made an effort to capture everyone’s experience — from the giant statues, camel ride, and archery to the very challenging yet exciting climb at Turtle Rock.
The entire experience was memorable, enjoyable, and well-organized. I honestly wish all tour guides were like them!

Great short reflection of Mongolian reality
worth the visit, to see unique rock formations, lovely landscapes just outside of Ulaanbatar, opportunity for horse and camel riding. Horses and camels were really loved by my guide, which was lovely to experience, in addition to the ride itself. Horses are respected and therefore respected me and their human guardian. Eagles on the other side, nothing to do with the tour guide, should be free to fly the open and expansive Mongolian plains and hills.
Mongolia after all does own the title of ruling much of the world, so everything witnessed is reflecting on this amazing reality.
I realised I was amongst the descendants of the people, and the horses are the ancestors of those who set their name in history. People remember the people, but the people couldn’t accomplish any of this, without the horses. So, it’s worth it!

Great guide
I had 3 tour guides while in Mongolia and Iggy (Erden) was definitely the best. He speaks English fluently and went to Univeristy of Las Vegas. I booked the chinggis khan statue/turtle rock tour as well as the overnight semi gobi/karakorum tour. They were both great.
For the overnight semi gobi/karakorum tour, my main concern was making sure my 70 year old mother was going to be comfortable and avoid injury. It was comfortable being guided by Iggy. Frequent restroom stops, detailed knowledgeable explanations especially all my questions about the nomads and Mongolian culture. I also appreciated how after I told him we had lunch 2 days in a row with nomads he chose a restaurant instead for lunch for us. The semi gobi was pretty much what was described - a small gobi closer to the city. We skipped the camel riding option because I didn’t want my mom to have any accidents. Then we visited a nomad family that was used to having visitors. It was nice seeing them collect cashmere from the goats and taking pics with the animals. The animals there were amazing. One of the options for accommodations was to stay with that family in their guest ger but I’m glad we didn’t because it didn’t look too comfortable. Then after that he drove us to karakorum which was awesome to see the ancient capital of the mongols. Iggy was great at explaining things. Then I was a bit nervous about the accommodations (because I thought it was going to look like one of the typical gers the nomads stayed in) but it was a really nice ger resort that was very comfortable with private bathroom and heating. As well as a really nice restaurant with nice food that was pre ordered for us by Iggy. It was the best meal I had in Mongolia. One of my favorite things at the resort was to borrow their traditional Mongolian costumes and walk around taking pictures. It was nice to spend a night there, then in the morning there was breakfast then Iggy came to get us and we headed back to UB. Good amount of bathroom breaks, then lunch was included on the way back, then got back to UB. Overall Iggy had the best explanations, timing, and quality - I felt comfortable and safe bringing my 70 year old mom along to experience Mongolia. Would definitely recommend him to others !

The service was seamless,...
The service was seamless, efficient, and fairly priced. Finding reliable transport for the 1.5-hour journey to Ulaanbaatar city center can be a challenge, but this company made the entire process hassle-free. Our driver was waiting right at the international arrivals gate with a clear sign, making the pickup easy. Thank you!

Recommended even in winter!
A very satisfying day tour! I went in mid-december, it was very cold and I was almost the only tourist around, but MJ was a reliable and knowledgeable guide, took a lot of pictures/videos of me and chose a good restaurant in a ger for lunch. He was always ready to answer my questions but also let me take my time and explore a bit on my own (especially in the wonderful Aryabal Temple, truly beautiful in the snow). Would definitely recommend!

This was a great trip. ...
This was a great trip. Navigating traffic in Ulaan Baatar is always a struggle but my guide was patient, efficient, and safe. His English was excellent and we had great conversations about life in Mongolia and my home in Canada.
The Chinggis Khaan statue is enormous. I think we were the only ones there that day probably because it was -25C that morning. We had a light lunch in a nomad’s ger where we were served Mongolian fried rice and hot milk. Just the perfect lunch on a cold day. We went to the Meditation Temple but didn’t make the short climb because of the cold and wind. It was a truly enjoyable trip.

Take this half day tour upon arrival into UB!
This half day tour was perfect for our group of 4. We all had different arrivals in UB and we were able to rendezvous as a final group with this tour. Our guide Enjii was lovely in accommodating our different pick up points and really kept us on track to visit all the sites as advertised. Driver efficiently transported us to Chinggis Khan equestrian statute, Turtle Rock and to the beautiful Aryapala Meditation Temple. Enjii was very knowledgeable and passionate about each of the places we visited. Thank you for a wonderful half day excursion on our first day in UB!!

Highly recommended transportation to UB from airport
Our driver was waiting for us when we exited baggage claim even though our flight was late. He was courteous and got us to UB in about an hour which was great considering the traffic into the city after we left the highway. We felt safe and that we were in good hands. Highly recommend.

Great Guide, Skittish Horses
A good day out in the sun! Our guide Enhrgl was great: easy-going, informative and enthusiastic. He took some great photos of the horse ride. A couple of horses were skittish; we were led by ropes past traffic/cows for most of our ride. While we were eventually allowed to ride on our own when surroundings were calmer, I'm not sure if more experienced riders would enjoy being tied by ropes to the horse at the front. The ride was mainly past ger encampments, sadly not the most picturesque of landscapes at times. The hillside meditation centre was lovely but the statue complex unfortunately had the air of a tourist trap. Lunch at Big Sky Lodge was excellent with a home-cooked feel.
