What are people saying about Crete

Excellent from start to...
Excellent from start to finish. Easy to find the boat. Christopherous explained our day so everyone was prepared at both stops and knew when to return on time. We had to take a dingy to the islands. Delicious food and we enjoyed the music as well. Of course the sailing and the beaches were the highlights! The small group was much better than the large ferries filled with throngs of people. We enjoyed talking with other guests.

Great day out in nature
Picked up from Rethymno on time, clear directions as to where to go. Bus stopped for breakfast before going to the gorge. Guide gave info on the bus. Able to do the gorge at own pace and it was amazing - one of the best natural wonders we have seen. Plenty of time to swim at the beach after. Definitely the gorge requires you to be fit and active - lots of areas with no paths where you end up clambeong over boulders.

We had such an amazing time! Nicholas was so lovely and made our experience worthwhile. The horses are well kept and he made sure that beginners new had to control the horses before getting on. The views were fantastic I really recommend going for the 6pm horse ride as the sunset was so beautiful when riding back up the mountain. Would definitely return if we ever came back to Crete!

Cave, beach and food were all amazing!
This tour is full of beautiful sights along the way. The honey & olive oil tasting was delicious while learning how it was made. The stop at the cave was the highlight for me. Note: it is over 200 steps to reach the cave, with very uneven steps. So, if you or someone in your group has difficulty walking, they have the choice to wait in the air conditioned van. The view from the cave is breathtaking. Inside, you will take a path that shows many views. After the cave, we went to a beach which is also a long walk, but beautiful, clear water. The water depth is mostly 2-3 feet but does have areas where it reaches approx. 4 -5 ft. It’s great for children because the water has movement but not strong waves. You can relax and float in the water or lay in the sandy beach. The last stop was the winery, with a variety of tastings, which also included grape syrup and olive oil to dip breads and salted olives. Everything was delicious! You can purchase anything you like to take home! We really enjoyed the entire day! Also, our ship time at the port was not as long as the tour, but our guide was able to shorten our stops yet still fit everything in and get us back on time which we really appreciated!!

Gentle Ride
Very chill and friendly guide! Very easy and simple communication in English language.
Route was lovely, not fast paste, not extreme.
There was some dust. I would recommend bringing a scarf, sun glasses and extra pair of clothes. After the ride jump in the sea and change. I would do this again!

Fantastic Elafonisi Tour with an Excellent Guide
We had a fantastic tour to Elafonisi! Yannis was an excellent tour guide and shared a lot of interesting information about Crete's history, the island's landmarks, and local products throughout the journey. It made the drive both informative and enjoyable.
One of the biggest advantages was having reserved sunbeds at the beach. Considering how crowded Elafonisi gets, this was a huge plus. The beach itself is stunning, the water was perfect for swimming, and walking across to Elafonisi Island was a wonderful experience.
It was very busy overall, so arriving early was definitely the right choice and allowed us to enjoy the beach before the biggest crowds arrived.
Unfortunately, the planned visit to Milia Mountain Retreat had to be canceled due to wildfires and road closures. However, Yannis handled the situation very well and quickly arranged an excellent alternative for lunch.
Overall, it was a fantastic tour that I would highly recommend!

Quick and Good for Kids
Quick farm tour and then a nice tasting of the olive oils, marmalades, olives, and tea. Alex was a very nice host and answered all of our questions about the olive oil process. Seeing the dragon fruit plants was fun, too. All items tasted are available for purchase and we bought some to take home with us. We booked this the day before and it was a fun, short excursion (we were done in an hour).

This was a highlight of...
This was a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed spending time with this family, who not only taught us about cooking an authentic Cretan dinner, but learning about village life, meeting some of the animals, and gaining a glimpse into farming in Crete. Our hosts were attentive and welcoming, and we even enjoyed meeting the other guests, with ample time to get to know each other as we were also working together on the meal and then while we ate. Thank you to our wonderful hosts and we wish you continued success and happiness.

20/10 stars, if you miss this you will be thinking about it the rest of your life!!
That was nothing short of incredible. Most beautiful place I have ever seen, and experienced it the best way possible by dropping into the canyon via ropes all harnessed up. I didn’t know exactly what we were in for, but the guides were very thorough and helpful with teaching us how to canyon. Absolutely must do, highlight of our trip so far (we have been on vacation for 13 days). I plan on coming back and booking the same exact experience!! No joke, this is a no brainer, book this trip!!

Zeus Cave
The highlight for us was the Zeus cave. Be aware that it is close to a 20 minute hike, going up pretty much continually. While we did the hike in sandals with no problems, we would recommend running shoes for comfort. There is a little refreshment stand at the top for cold drinks, etc.
The cave itself was the highlight for us!!!
The rest of the tour was also very interesting and worthwhile as well.
The lunch was very good but is a bit later in the day.
We were fortunate enough to sit in the forward facing seats for much of the tour. When we switched off to the rear side facing seats, it was a bit awkward and cramped, but that was totally expected.
The tour company, Safari Experts, and our guide were excellent as well!
In short, yes, we would recommend this tour.

Full day adventure off the grid in southern Crete
Definitely wear good shoes, a hat, lots of sunscreen, and a water bottle and snacks. Plenty of places to refill your water bottle along the way, but no food available. It’s a long but wonderful day hiking the gorge and the. 2-3 hours in Agia Romeli to eat and recharge your body before the ferry ride to head back.

Fun and exciting!!
So much fun!!! It was my first time ever on a quad and what an exciting experience. Team was great with explaining the quad and how to control it. You see the countryside and the mountainsides. Amazing vistas that you see while you’re driving. Oh and don’t wear your Sunday best because you will get dirty!
