Jeyani was an amazing ambassador! She prepared a tour based on my interests and background. I wanted to get a feel for the various neighborhoods, which Jeyani did an excellent job! Such diversity in the city. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone interested in a personalized tour of the city!

Our guide never showed up. She could not be reached by phone or email. Further, while it is described as a custom tour I was told repeatedly in emails that we should not expect the guide to be an expert on Basel’s history.

We booked this tour as 2 friends traveling with just a few hours in Basel. It was a private tour which is a nice change of pace. Walid was completely flexible with timing and allowed us a comprehensive view of the city, and even a field trip out to the tripoint as well. We entered a few beautiful buildings and were given options on which ones we wanted to climb. We were given lots of recommendations for other things to do after the tour, which we took him up on! We learned a little about architecture, history, the universities and museums. He took us through beautiful streets and we stopped several times for pictures. He was a jovial guide and was easy to work with in determining our goals for the tour. It was a relaxing and personal experience. He answered our many questions easily. Just what we needed!

Jeyani is a college student who was not prepared for the tour and could not clearly explain basic facts about the city. We were asked to buy tram tickets during the tour even though this was a walking tour and didn’t mention in advance.

Tour didn’t happen. Our tour guide was confirmed to be Alina, but she was a no show. We waited half an hour. We tried to contact her as did the support group, no answer from her. Our details had all been confirmed, so it was disappointing and our money is to be refunded

Horrible experience. The guide didn't provide any information on what was requested prior to my tour/trip. Also, the guide asked where my husband was because he was on the list. I only paid for 1 of us, so this added to more confusion. Very poor tour. Little knowledge and was a waste of my time. This tour shouldn't be offered to any tourists who are coming to Basel. Alina was of very little help and didn't offer a "redo" until the end of my tour--asking if I wanted to return the next day. I hope to receive a refund or partial refund for this poor service. Terrible tour!

Alistair took us to all the major old town sites as we had asked. He also met us at our hotel which we really appreciated since we didn’t know the city. But we helped a little by staying at the heart of old town in Hotel Basel. It was pouring rain, but Alistair just kept showing us what we wanted to see, good sport!

We really enjoyed our time with Francis. (I think first name, could be last) She was prepared, friendly and was open to talking about everyday life in Switzerland. We covered a lot of ground in 2 hours and felt we got to know the city a little. Very happy with the tour!

Lokafy was a great guide. Walked us all around the city to show us the beautiful sites. Everything is decorated for Christmas so it was quite amazing. We enjoyed the history and knowledge he shared. Great way to see the city and explore in a few hours.

Having traveled all over Europe and Asia, I have taken many walking tours. Our guide for 5 hours was very personable and spoke English well, but he didn’t offer up much information…..we had to question him. We had specified that we were interested in the history of Basel and the Jewish history of Basel. He only knew history from the 1800’s and beyond and knew absolutely nothing about Jewish history. Some of his information was inaccurate. When we walked thru a gate separating old and new Basel I asked if it had been a walled city. He said no, but I learned at the history museum that it had indeed been a walled city. That being said, we had a very enjoyable time and did give him a tip

We walked for 4 hours and I lost complete track of time. Francis made the entire experience exciting, interesting, easy, thoughtful and memorable! She went the extra mile and introduced me to businesses and accommodated my interest in street art. If I could do this all over again I would in a heartbeat - but only with Francis!
