A round-trip ticket on the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway currently costs ¥1,800 (approximately US$11.80) for adults and ¥900 (US$5.90) for elementary school-aged kids. The top station is close to the Hakone Mototsumiya Shrine and there are several hiking trails through forests that lead back down to Lake Ashi.

The Hakone Komagatake Ropeway typically operates daily from 9am until 4.30pm (upbound service) or 4.50pm (downbound service). Gondolas depart three times per hour: on the hour, 20 minutes past, and 40 minutes past. The service may be canceled in bad weather, such as when there are high winds. The ride to the summit of Mt. Komagatake takes around seven minutes.
