Yuki was a wonderful host...
Yuki was a wonderful host for today’s excursion. We enjoyed 4 different stops at which we were able to explore at our own pace. She provided great history and background as well as site specific pamphlets to allow us to customize our path at each. She also helped by providing specific instructions for where and what time to meet back up. Very helpful in a location like Kamakura. We got lucky and the weather was cool and the rain held off long enough to enjoy the entire day without needing an umbrella. Really enjoyed the fresh seafood at the last stop. Wonderful views. Be prepared to walk up a lot of steps and bring your energy for this one. So much to see and learn about this wonderful place. Thank you Yuki!!

Highly recommend the Kamakura walking tour
Had an amazing time with our guide Miyu on our Kamakura walking tour! The Great Buddha is just something that needs to be seen in real life (the pics look great but it is even better in person). We also saw Tsurugoaka Hachimangu shrine which had a Spring Festival on that day which was awesome to see! Miyu was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledgeable and lovely especially to our kids. Highly recommend Miyu and the Kamakura walking tour!

If I could only give more than 5 stars, I would.
We love Toshi and Masae! We enjoyed our day with them. Masae had been in contact with me about a week before arriving in Tokyo, asking questions etc. she wanted to make sure that she was prepared for us. Toshi made sure that we arrived safely at each location. From the moment we met them they were like family. Our favorite spot is the Hokokuji Temple, it’s so serene and beautiful. We chose Kamakura and Enoshima as our route and it’s a good combination. Masae was very knowledgeable of each and every site that we visited and Toshi also gave us additional fun facts along the way. They are flexible, considerate, sweet and a pleasure to be with. We highly recommend Masae and Toshi.

Dive to Kamakura
I only knew about the Great Buddha when it came to sightseeing in Kamakura, but by joining this tour, I was able to learn about Japanese culture through making Japanese sweets, learn about the history of Kamakura and the Great Buddha, and find out about recommended souvenirs. Our guide, Hiro, was very kind and funny, and I especially have fond memories of the lively haiku competition held at the Great Buddha temple. If you visit Japan, you'll be missing out if you don't join this tour.

Great walking tour of temples!
Great walking tour. Mark our tour guide was very knowledgeable & friendly. We had so much fun! Also enjoyed lunch at one of the temples and walking down the shopping street. He also helped us figure out which train to take to return back to Yokohama. Highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky you’ll get Mark as your tour guide.

A Journey thru Japanese History with Virgel
It was a wonderful yet rainy afternoon... but we got all the sites completed. Virgel is amazingly knowledgeable and put so much of Kamakura's history into perspective.... we walked thru history as Virgel set the tone.
Stopping for Matcha Ice Cream was a special addition that we all sooo appreciated!!!
And Virgel's interest in our next places of travel brought us closer yet, to our dear guide.

Special time in Kamakura
An was very knowledgeable and helpful with bringing me around all the most beautiful temples and shrines. Kamakura is such a gem and lovely place to spend some quality time. I also needed help with trains and restaurants recommendations and An helped me so much. She’s a great guide.

Great walking excursion in the Kamakura Hills
Mountain pass hiking was a bit strenuous, but worth the chance to visit some of Kamakura’s more remote shrines and temples. Ended the tour with both Hasedera and the Daibutsu. On a day that was less hot (95°F / 35°C) we would have covered a few more sites, but needed to take more breaks than expected. Great experience!
