Great day trip from Athens
We booked this day trip from Athens because we wanted to see some Sparta sites and get some history. Pick up was easy from our hotel, we got to go exactly where we wanted, got some great tips from the friendly guide, and we’re back in time for a nice dinner. There’s no way we could’ve had the flexibility if we had booked it with a bus, and we’re really pleased with the entire experience. Marios did an amazing job.

Fabulous day trip outside of Athens
Our family had a wonderful experience with this tour! After a few days in Athens it was fun to explore the area outside of the city, and our driver/guide, George, was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us all feel incredibly comfortable. Mystras is beautiful and unique, and after our hike we had a delicious lunch in the town (George's recommendation). An excellent way to see the impressive mountains and countryside of southern Greece!

Magical and unforgettable
Tasos tailored the itinerary so that I could see Agia Theodora, an out of the way place that I would never have gotten to unless I hired a car. This place, along with the rich beauty of the Spartan mountains and the majesty of Mystras, made it a highly memorable trip. Tasos was very knowledgeable, a very careful driver and excellent company! Thank you so much :)

  • These dramatic ruins and the surrounding views over the countryside are a photographer’s paradise, so be sure to bring your camera.
  • Exploring Mystras involves a significant amount of time outdoors and navigating rough terrain, so wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.
  • Some of the ruins are crumbling and unstable; keep a close watch on children to steer them away from dangerous stones and drops.
  • With steep, rocky lanes and steps, the ruins are not accessible to wheelchairs.
