What are people saying about La Romana

Great experience
This experience was so much fun and beautiful. The sacred river was like nothing I had seen before so pretty. Once you get to the park they offer cheaper packages that include everything like horseback riding, ziplining and buggy tours. The lunch they offered was delicious and it was a good size for one person.

How to Best Buggy
Omg!!! Amazing, very dirty and fun! Antonio was a great leader and would definitely do this again! Highly recommend to bring plenty of cash to avoid the 20% taxes and technical issues when getting souvenirs! The visit was definitely reasonable and enjoyable. Shuttle and transportation was air conditioned and quick but hang on because the drivers out there are something else lol pictures were excellent quality!
Attire: wear something comfortable like a swimsuit and beach shorts over the bottom, a bonnet(my hair was long but fully covered)/bandana, glasses!!!, and face mask.
The faster you drive, the more dirty you will be and that's the best part!! Try to pack light and bring phone case cover(water proof). Absolutely easy and helpful experience.

Fun bike trip of the area
This was an excellent tour. We got to see the areas outside of where we were staying such as Bayahibe, the national park and caves. The bikes were easy to use and our guide Wilkin was just wonderful and so helpful. We are in our upper 50s and were able to do this with no problems even on some rocky terrain.

For adventurous cruisers!
This was a great experience! The guide was fluent in multiple languages. You will get dirty! Bring a bandana and sunglasses to keep dirt out of your eyes and mouth. They do sell these if you forget. Bring a wet bag to keep your things dry. Once again you will get dirty and wet! The sugar cane demonstrations were so neat. The snacks were delicious! We were able to utilize their $30 pickup and drop off and had 40 minutes to spare when we got back to our cruise ship. Make sure to let the head guide know and he will make sure you meet that time. I would recommend this for those that love adventure!

A holiday highlight
This catamaran trip was a highlight of our holiday, it was worth every penny. A small group of around 30 (adults and children) took to the sea on a relaxed journey to Saona that took around 90 minutes. It was peaceful and there was plenty of room to sit and enjoy the views. We spent around 2 hours on Saona Island which was breath taking. Upon our return to the boat, we had a delicious lunch followed by snorkelling in a natural pool where we saw lots of huge star fish and even a turtle! A wonderful experience, thank you!

Great half day tour!...
Great half day tour! Picked up directly at our resort, learned about coffee and cocoa and then off to see the monkeys. Johnny Tequila was amazing! He was funny and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed his sense of humour. The surprise for us was the lunch we got to have at the end of our tour. Fried chicken was delicious. Already gave Runners Adventures details to our friends who are coming in a couple of weeks

Reliable service
I booked a round trip through Viator (my first time). My husband and I was supposed to be picked from PUJ to HM Alma de Bayahibe and back to PUJ on our departure date. I was send an initial ticket for the arrival and told that someone would be at the airport with our name. I got no other contact and me being a worrywart, I called and I confirmed with them on the day of arrival. They were helpful and as promised someone was there at the airport on time to pick us up.
For our departure, I reached out to them on the day before and based on my flight details they gave me the time the driver would arrive and he was on the dot at the resort to pick us up.
Overall this was great experience. The drivers were nice and speaking Spanish helps but if not they were very reliable.

Beautiful Day on the Ocean with Quetzal Excursions
We drove from Punta Cana and arrived at Quetzal in Bayahibe around 8:30 am. After checking in, our guide walked us down to the dock and we took a shuttle boat to the Catamaran. It was a beautiful and peaceful trip out to our first stop at Isla Catalina. The ocean conditions were challenging with strong winds and currents so we only snorkeled about 10 minutes there. We then left for Samoa where the waters were much more calm. We snorkeled about 30-40 minutes, but there was more time if people wanted to continue snorkeling or go ashore. We stayed onboard after snorkeling and talked with guide Charlotte. She was a delightful young lady from France. They then cooked us a great lunch of chicken, steak, pasta, salad, and fresh fruit. There was also an open bar. After leaving Saona, we cruised up Rio Chavon and one of the crew explained the history of the area, including famous movies filmed there like Apocalypse Now. All and all, it was a great time and the entire crew was wonderful.

A must do if you are in PR
Amazing experience of the Caribbean water, white/pink sands and the island wibes…! A must do activity if you are in punta Cana. Would suggest to take a private/small group as the service is much better and Nelly has nailed that experience for the guests. You get to go in a speed boat once you are at bayside. They allow a max of 14 guests and food served was hot and fresh. The icing on the top was the natural pool with the ability to touch/ view plenty of starfish’s. Don’t miss it if you have young kids who like sand and beach.

Worth it!
We went with our 3 year old and had a blast! Everyone was soooo nice and lively. The photographer on the boat was amazing and took the best pictures! Honestly, was the best part of the trip. Snorkeling was very clear. The sand bar was amazing. They had floating bar, people with monkeys and parrots to take pictures with.

Great day on the water!
We had such a great time on this excursion. The crew was professional and fun and accommodating. The drinks and snacks were yummy. There was plenty of places for shade and sun, the slide was fun and the boat was easy to get on and off. The photos were great, but pricey. We’d definitely do this excursion again.
